[PROLOGUE]
A scrawny boy walked Main Street, avoiding eye contact and walking the opposite direction of the group of people. Who seemed to know where they were going, he noticed a few people giving him a hard time and giving him that icy stare that he hated. He simply ignored them, no matter how much he wanted to pound something to dust, he couldn't loose it now. He just couldn't, he felt a raindrop hit him on the arm he looked up, he forgot it was raining. He didn't know it was raining, he wouldn't care if someone came by and stab him with a wooden stake, he couldn't blame them. He looked like a vampire, guess he lost track of time being confined in his room for too long. The hood didn't help his reputation either.

He shrugged off the concept and made a sharp turn to the right, entering a dark alleyway. He felt a cold chill down his spine, suddenly feeling the temperature drop. He knew he was in trouble, and he knew the cause of it. He grit his teeth as time seemed to freeze around him unaffected by the time freeze he continued to walk forward, a man who didn't seem affected by the abnormal occurrence approached the boy blocking his path "I was waiting for you Nathan." he spat dryly. Nathan didn't seem fazed "And?" he asked rather annoyed he decided to show up now, "You've come to bother me again I suppose?" he guessed. The man grinned "Spot on. You know the deal, I want you to do a job for me." he leaned against a building. Nathan's eyes narrowed "Bother someone else Than. You already have my answer, no." The man named Than cackled "Poor Nathan, you know there's no turning back. You'll be rewarded greatly." he said sincerely, Nathan took a sudden interest "I'm listening." he told Than. The man sneered "Revenge." he laughed wickedly Nathan's unamused frown turned into a grin "Oh really? You think I'm still beaten after that? Well you're right. Fine, I'll to you're stupid job. What is if you might ask?" Than burst out into laughter "You know what I want." he said with an evil grin. Nathan's eyes widened "You're stupid, that could.." he didn't need to finish his sentence Than simply nodded "Yes, I know. But you don't walk the same road as these humans, you could be so much more don't you think?" he asked. Nathan sneered as a scythe materialized in his hand, "Yes. Soo much more." he added. Than disappeared and time continued as if nothing had happened, the scythe was gone from his hand. But he didn't seem to care, he put his hood back on and put his hands in his pockets and proceeded into the darkness in the alleyway, and his heart.
