"You fool!" spat Maxie, staring at Kyogre as it splashed by, swimming swiftly. It soaked Shelly, Maxie, Archie, Brendan, Wallace, Steven, May, and Leli. "Exactly why I didn't choose to join Team Magma or Aqua!" Leli scoffed, shaking her right arm. "Now do you know what Kyogre is capable of, Archie? Or are you still stupid enough to try and summon even Darkrai?" Archie was staring blankly at the ground. The Team Magma and Team Delta leaders stared coldly at the Team Aqua leader. "That's enough. Archie wasn't going to know what would happen, and I think he's learned his lesson," Brendan said.

"I suppose you're right," Wallace said, finally doing something to help the argument. "So... Who's after Kyogre? Leli - who has a bunch of Dragon and Grass types to help counter Kyogre's water type? Or Brendan - who has...who knows what?" asked Shelly. Leli sighed. "It's up to Brendan here. Kyogre has Ice Beam, Origin Pulse, Hydro Pump and Thunder. The only Pokémon of mine who could actually take a hit just so happens to lack Electric type moves and defense." Brendan nodded. "I understand," he said.

"WHAT?! But he's...just a kid!" Archie yelled. "But he is the one who has defeated you multiple times, and has 7 of 8 Gym Badges," Steven countered. "And it doesn't help any that you know I could beat you again," Brendan said, pulling out Latias's Pokeball. "Ugh, fine. Go after the giant whale. Not like Leli wouldn't have trouble fighting it." Leli glared at Archie and stomped on his foot. "Not funny," she growled, her green eyes narrowed. "You know that my Dragon types and Togekiss and Volcarona wouldn't last a second out there." May stood silently. "I have a better idea."

"Spit it out, then!" Shelly yelled. "Why not send more than one of us down there? Then Archie... No, not Archie. Brendan can catch Kyogre. No offense, but I don't exactly trust anyone from Team Aqua right now." Shelly shrugged, replying with, "I can see why, May. And that idea doesn't seem too bad." Leli beamed. "So it's settled? And I'm willing to go down there if it's more than one of us on the field!" Everyone nodded.

(Maxie says this) "It's settled."

There's nothing more beautiful than the rain.

Title: Chapter 1

Leli looked over at Brendan. "So... Who all is willing to go down there besides us?" he asked. Wallace replied, "I'll escort you down there. But as for battling..." Maxie slowly raised his hand. "I may not be of much help, but I am willing to fight Kyogre. Besides, who knows how much damage it can do now that it is in its Primal form." Shelly nodded. "Let's head down-" She was cut off by a loud roaring noise. They all turned to see someone holding the Red Orb, holding it above their head. "No!" shrieked Leli. "We need to get down there, now," ordered Archie, "Before Groudon and Kyogre begin fighting."

There's nothing more beautiful than the rain.
