Deep within the castle, a sort of presence touched... but none were there to feel...

Riolu felt the waves more vividly by the minute. He hurried through the bustling castle.

Taiyou led Torchic in the general direction of the Rock Peak Gate, where the first Golem was said to reside, awakened by any intruders.

Torch ice followed happily right behind his partner.

"Do you have any idea what Pokemon it is Riolu?" He asked curiously as he followed his pet.

Riolu looked back at Nijito to shake his head "no." He then hurried in the direction of the waves, only to freeze and skid backwards as a Stunky leapt out from the shadows - one of the wild Pokémon that had invaded the castle.

Deep within the castle, a sort of presence glowed... A small Pokémon up above felt it and wished to hurry towards it, but knew he could not.

Since the Rock Peak Gate was the closest to the market, Taiyou reached it soon enough, and entered the cavernous "gate" to search for the Golem and see what had happened.

Ninjito pursed his lips and commanded Riolu." Let's stick with special moves so we don't get sprayed."

Torchic lit a branch on fire and handed it to his master to use as a torch.

"Thank you, Torchic!" Taiyou said appreciatively, taking the torch. He used it to light the way as he entered the Rock Peak Gate, the long cavern stretching between the Seirei Kingdom and the other kingdoms to the southwest. The Golem guarding it served to prevent intruders - Pokémon or human - with bad intentions from entering.

Riolu nodded. He knew very few Special moves, but he prepared to use Hidden Power on the Stunky.

Torchic stayed close to his master in case he needed protection from anyone or anything. "Torchic-chic" he said.

Ninjito watched his Pokemon use the move then yelled," watch out he's about to spray to the right!"

Riolu darted to the left just as Stunky's Stench activated and he released a foul-smelling spray. The spray didn't hit anyone, but the wall it hit would probably need to be cleaned...
Riolu took Stunky's distraction to launch his Hidden Power. Being Ice-type, it was regularly effective, but Riolu's Special Attack wasn't as high as Attack, so it didn't hurt much at all. It only really served to make the Stunky angry.

A Noibat swooped down towards Torchic.
"LOOK OUT!!" Taiyou exclaimed.

"Ok if we can paralyze it with force palm we should be safe. GO FOR IT!" He cried at Riolu.

Torchic look up at the diving Pokemon and dodged. But accidentally hit a rock.

Riolu darted towards Stunky and prepared to use Force Palm, but the skunk Pokémon was too quick. He whipped around and sprayed Riolu, getting a painful liquid in the Aura Pokémon's eyes and (temporarily) making his sense of smell useless due to the horrid stench permeating his nose.

"Torchic, are you alright?!" Taiyou asked worriedly.

Torchic stumbled around for a few seconds then regained his footing. Right as he saw the Noibat swoop down towards him

"RIOLU NO!!" Ninjito said as he ran past him Pokemon and kicked stunky into a wall. "Are you ok?"

Stunky didn't appreciate being kicked into a wall, and sprayed Nijito as well before fleeing back into the shadows.
Riolu covered his eyes with his arm to try to make the stinging go away.

"Torchic, use Ember!!" Taiyou instructed, hoping that the light would scare the Noibat away.

Luckily most of the spray had just hit the back of his suitcoat. Unfortunately he was sprayed." Here Riolu let me help." He said as he pulled a cloth napkin out of his supplies bag.

"Torchic tor-CHI!" Torchic said as he sent a flamethrower at noibat singing one of its wings.

"Flamethrower?" Taiyou asked confusedly. "Amazing!! Great job, Torchic!!"

Riolu wiped his eyes with the cloth and stood up, beginning to feel better. He was still rather upset that they hadn't managed to succeed against even the first wild Pokémon they met, but at least they had found one. That was a start.

Torchic stood pridefully looking at the moi at as it flew away.

Riolu nodded and continued walking in the direction of the waves he had felt. He really wasn't sure what they were, but they stood out for some reason - he wasn't strong enough to feel most waves from even a few feet away, but whatever this was must have been really far away if he still hadn't reached it, and he had felt it for a while already.

"Amazing, Torchic!!" Taiyou cheered. He suddenly remembered they were on a mission and began walking through the tunnel, which seemed not to have many branches or crossroads.

"Watch out for that bush riolu. Watchout for that rock riolu..." Nun koto went on helping his still somewhat blinded friend. "Are we close yet?"

Torchic let Taiyou lead the way and followed right beside him.

Riolu felt the waves stronger than ever, yet something told him their quest was only just beginning. He shook his head.

Taiyou found the first fork in the path. Go left, or go right...? "Torchic, what do you think?"

Taiyou nodded and went down the left path.

Riolu nodded and continued in the direction of the waves until he found a vast doorway blocked by two giant doors. Passing through those doors was forbidden, but the King had made exceptions for Aura Guardians on missions in the past when necessary.
