The tree trunk around Ripple was a wooden shelter, the tree's many
years of wear and tear had hardened it's walls into Ripple's den.
She began to stir. Ripple raised her drowsy head and ruffled her
feathers. She peerd out the entrance, watching a figure creep up to
Westly.
Haiku paused. Westley was moving. She'd have to be able to get over
or under him in order to kill him without struggle. She looked
down. Digging. She could dig under him. She dug tunnels all the
time, this would be a chance to put her skills to the test. She
started a small hole, and in a moment, an undetectable start of a
tunnel. There was no mound of dirt, no nothing. She could dig very
quickly, this wouldn't be hard. She continued to dig, almost being
undetected.
Dewbeam was still hunting through her tunnels. "Why do I have so
many tunnels? This one was for twigs, this is bark, this is for
berry paints, this is for a water storage..."
I may not seem intelligent, but that's because I need sleep.
Haiku sniffed the air a few times while digging. She was getting
close. The dragon was near. She could get to him if she stayed
quiet. She could do it. The dragon was none the wiser. He would die
today, or she would die trying. She could do this.
Dewbeam sighed. "I give up. This won't work. I can't find my
tunnel, there are too many! I'm just gonna go into another faction
while Haiku's getting food. Not like she can stop me." She
skittered out of her tunnels and started running. After a bit, she
made it near where Haiku was. "Ok...tree...river...dragon...wait,
dragon? Up the tree, up the tree!" She ran up the tree, clinging
madly to the bark. She thought dragons were fierce hunters who ate
mice, like birds.

Clary traveled along the edge of her territory, oblivious to all
that has happened. She watched for the possible intruders from the
other territories. She looked around, her eyes narrowing on
something, but she decides to ignore it, her eyes looking around.
”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your
technological guide!"
Falcon smirked, snorted again, and another wave of anger wafted
over Haiku. "Do it! Do it now before he leaves!!" Falcon screamed
to her.
Westley had devoured 72 fish before he grew tired again. The sun
had moved since his last nap, and this spot wasn't sunny anymore.
But he was sooo comfortable... He layed his head down in defeat,
and closed his eyes peacefully.
Haiku stopped digging. If she dug any more, she'd get under or in
front of Westley. She had to do this now. She turned upward and
started to slowly dig up, knowing he could get up at any moment.
After a bit, the tunnel was done. She was right behind him. With a
quick look over, she knew she'd have to get his underbelly or his
neck to kill him without a fight. She chose the neck and inched
closer. She could kill him in a moment. If he didn't wake up, there
wouldn't be a fight. She just needed to leave a huge bite right on
a vital area, and it'd be over.
I may not seem intelligent, but that's because I need sleep.
Haiku stared at Westley. She almost pitied this dragon. Almost. She
opened her mouth, ready to bite. She relaxed herself, knowing her
anger would guide the bite. Nothing else mattered in that moment.
Nothing.

Haiku froze. He had moved. She had to do this now. She couldn't
delay any longer. She opened her mouth wider, already seeing the
blood that would stain her pelt and drip from her muzzle.

Ripple heard the scuffling of an underground creature. She looked
at Westley. It sounded as if it was under him, and it must've done
that deliberately because it was so close. Was it predator or
prey?
Ripple flattened herself to the grass. She stalked silently,
creeping through the tall grass. The grass was a shield around her,
her rippled skin blended with it perfectly. The hole was only 10
feet away, but it seemed much longer. Ripple began descending into
the hole, trying her best to muffle her steps.
Falcon zapped out of Haiku's head, but leaving the anger there. He
stalked down the hole after Ripple. He zapped into her head and
whispered "Don't go any further, or doom will follow.." He hoped
that she would listen.
Haiku took Westley's neck in her mouth. She could do one swift
motion, and it would end. But she was hesitating. The old her,
which was currently in the back of her head, was screaming at her
to stop, saying there must be another way. She almost listened to
that voice, but anger took over.
Dewbeam was still clinging to the tree, unable to see Haiku or what
was happening. "Oh, there's a hole. I can hide in here, the dragons
won't see me." She skittered into the hole, hiding in a small chunk
of wood which had been taken out, leaving space for her to just fit
in.

"There are four shrines: Ocean Shrine of Water, Quake Shrine of
Earth, Cloud Shrine of Air, and Blaze Shrine of Fire. I am the
guardian of Cloud Shrine of Air."
"Quake Shrine of Earth is underground. The thing you heard lurking
is not dangerous. My true name is Cloud the Air Dragon , and the
shrine was named after me. Quake the Earth Dragon is the thing
there."
