Giratina roared and vanished out of sight. Hope dove downward toward Butterfree and used Dragon Pulse. Courtney gasped and ran toward HQ, fur sticking up in fear. Giratina was using Shadow Force. She had to hurry, or she was doomed. She was close. Closer, closer... Slam! She ran into the door. "Oof," she muttered, rising back onto her paws and opening the door.

There's nothing more beautiful than the rain.

Courtney had no time to wait. She descended the long flight of stairs and skidded to a halt to see Maxie talking to a very unimportant grunt. "Maxie," she panted, "I have three of the five eggs!" Maxie tilted his head. "You do, hmm? Interesting." He gestured with his tail for Courtney to come over to him. She took off the bag and handed it to her leader.

There's nothing more beautiful than the rain.

Kisuke meanwhile was struggling to stay conscious from the top of the staircase by the railing, and once he saw Shadow, he panicked. "What..." Dragging himself to his feet, he climbed over the railing, and jumped off with his Doublade at his sides like what was performed previously. "WHAT'RE YOU DOING IN MY SWAMP OUR HQ?!" With quick reflexes, his Butterfree caught him, but no longer having the strength to hold him any longer, it got as close as it could to the ground and dropped, leading to Kisuke smashing against the ground, dropping his sword, along with his Doublades. "Why... why don't you just give UP?!" Scrambling to his feet, he prepared to dash at Shadow, leading to him head-butting her back into a wall. As a result from the impact's recoil, Kisuke was now on his ground, twitching and desperately trying to keep his eyes open.

(not sure what else to put... But I suppose I'll play as Kisuke's Butterfree until he recovers...)
Kisuke's Butterfree picked him up and flew him away after drinking a Hyper Potion found in Team Magma's storage.

"Attacking a wounded enemy? How ignoble." Kisuke thought to himself while briefly signaling for his Butterfree to use Stun Spore. Thus, Butterfree did, trying to buy time for Kisuke and it to escape.

Courtney leapt out of HQ, giving Maxie barely any time to do anything. Maxie growled at Shadow and stalked off, not really wanting to deal with her. I should've provided Courtney with other Pokémon, he thought regretfully.

Thus, Kisuke began his long descent from a great height. However, in the end, he crashed... on top of Maxie. XD
(Sorry I needed a known detail in the story that was soft enough to land on don't kill me pls.)
(Also, do you actually regret giving Courtney only one Pokemon? Or just doing that to add detail to Maxie?)

(adding detail to Maxie, 'cause I guess Courtney's Camerupt is very OP in the games, but he might want her prepared better, besides. Courtney gets two of the Pokémon from the eggs, and Kisuke can too if you want)


Courtney was outside, wondering what to do. She saw a blue-grey cat panicking nearby. "Song, we couldn't have just lost it!" she yowled to the Altaria next to her. Courtney trotted over. "Everything okay?" she asked. "Team Magma...asking me if I'm okay? That's new. Well, Song and I can't find our Altarianite or Key Stone."
