Vokva looked up at the dappled leaves above her, gleaming in the sunlight as a Pidgeot swooped down, dropping a device on a soft patch of ground. Bending down, she picked it up in her hands and immediately recognized it as an X-Transceiver. With a side-glance to her totodile, she held down a button and called, "Hello? Anybody there?"

((I'm not on Route 2 yet))

Mimi was on Route 1 training her Snivy when a crazy encounter had struck her. She knew Pokémon from other regions were going all over, but when she found this Mareep she was shocked. (hurr hurr get it?) "Go! Snivy!" she cried, sending out the grass type.

There's nothing more beautiful than the rain.

Slightly relived to hear a voice on the other end, Vokva let out a quick sigh before responding, "Good thanks, not enjoying the forest, but hopefully I'll get to the next city soon." her eyes darting from the X-Transceiver's screen to a Pidgey sitting on a branch overhead.

"Snivy use- umm... Tackle?" Mimi called unconfidently. The grass type Pokémon slammed into the Mareep's side. The Mareep squealed and used an attack that sounded like a lot of squealing to Mimi. Then Mareep stopped and waited for Mimi's next move. "Pokeball, go," she said calmly. The Mareep was instead. I hope I get it, Mimi thought. One time, twice, three times turning from side to side.... Success!

Vokva was well aware that the other trainers were ahead of her, in terms of battling and catching pokemon. She was of course, in her own mind, more strategical. Looking up at the Pidgey above her, she knew that later she could teach it 'Fly' and transport herself to different locations once evolved. As possibilities went through her head, she silently signaled with two fingers for her totodile to creep forward and suddenly, hit the wild bird pokemon with a quick water-gun attack.

In pure surprise, the pidgey darted off but whipped back and at once began to fight the water-based starter. With an array of water-based and normal-based type attacks, the pair ferociously nipped and slashed at one another, before getting close enough, Vokva sent out a pokeball at the wild pokemon and watched it drop to the ground before rolling side to side in order to confirm the capture.
"Yes!" she hissed to herself under her breath in an excited tone, as she grabbed the pokeball up, but released the Pidgey so it too, could walk around freely with her totodile.

Vokva jumped in near surprise and dropped her hands to her knees, arching her back in order to get her breath back. "Jeez, you scared me!" she hissed under her breath, before stretching herself up and giving a dip of her head, "Yep!" she said, sounding a bit more happier for once. "I might as well build up my team before I even think of facing a Gym!"
