This is the way of the Bionicle.
We matoran were created by the great spirit Mata Nui. He gave us the three virtues, so that we would have purpose. Unity, for together we are strong. Duty, for our work builds the future. Destiny, for the betterment of our people. We lived peacefully for many years. But this peace was not meant to last. Mata Nui's brother, Makuta, coveted his power. He took control of the land, placing Mata Nui into a deep sleep. Our home has been shrouded in darkness ever since. We still hoped for the future however. It was foretold that hero's would come, mighty Toa that would save us and our shadowed land. And come they did. Six great heroes, filled with power beyond imagination washed up on our shores. They had no memory of their past, but they embraced their destiny. Though they have faced many foes, from within and without, they have overcome every obstacle. Until now. Six new canisters have washed upon the shores, new heroes of equal strength. Our original Toa are unaware of the new arrivals, but that will soon change. A great darkness is coming, and six may not be enough. But are these new Toa heroes, or are they the darkness of myth?

Selinia... The name passed through her head. Did it belong to her? A loud hissing noise came from above her. Light. The top of her pod peeled back, revealing a beautiful sunrise. Where am I? What happened to me? She reached out, not quite able to reach the lip of the pod. She felt a strong hand clasp hers. "Come sister. It is time to wake up. We were waiting for you." She stared at the grey mask. It seemed so familiar, yet unrecognizable. She allowed herself to be pulled out of the metal box, feeling sand beneath her feet as she was set down. "W-Where am I? Who are you?" The man smiled gently at her. "Well sister, I do not know the answer to where, but my name is Vanisster." He gestured behind him. "This is Vennidal." A woman with red and blue armor nodded to her. "I know you are confused, and maybe a bit scared, but we need to find our other brothers." Selinia shook her head, trying to clear her groggy mind. "Wait, I-I don't understand." Vanisster smacked his forehead. "How could I be so foolish! Here sister, put this on. It will help clear your mind." He held up a grey mask. It's ridges and curves were quite intricate, and it would have been pretty if not for the color. Something about called to her though. She took it, and it seemed to shimmer. Turning it, she put it on. Her mind instantly cleared, like fog lifting. Looking at Vanisster, she felt like she knew him. "You are my brother?" Toa... The word seemed alien, foreign in her mind. "I am a... Toa?" Vanisster clapped his hands. "Yes sister, now you have it! I don't know what the word means, but it keeps coming to my mind as well. Other words will come to you soon. I heard both sister and brother. You two are obviously sister, since you came from the same contraption that I did. But I heard brother as well, so there must be at least one more of us." Vennidal spoke for the first time. Her voice was low and stern. "Calm yourself brother. I agree that we should search for others, but we must stay alert. Who knows what could be lurking in this strange land." I nodded. "She is right. We should explore this place." She remembered something from within her capsule. She walked to it, reaching deep within. She pulled out two long thin objects. The swords gleamed in the sun. "But we must be prepared for the worst"

Phoenix and Rem were walking towards the beach. They had all met together, but had split into teams, and she made sure Noah and Okami weren't together since they couldn't stand each other. They had learned that the hard way. Both Phoenix and Kale were quiet and just enjoying the silence. They heard voices before reaching the edge of the jungle and went forward slowly, on alert. there they saw three new toa. They moved closer as quiet as they could.
Elsewhere, Okami was with Rem and they were exploring the area around the volcano. Okami was ranting about Noah and how much she didnt like him and Rem was ignoring her.

Gel trudged across the barren wastes. A few steps behind him was his brother Naku. They had woken up in metal tubes on a beach a few miles back. It hadn't taken them long to figure out their masks and weapons, and once they had finished discussing there predicament, they set off into this awful place. The Naku was doing particularly bad. Gel suspected that he had some kind of connection with water, and this heat was effecting him more because of it. Suddenly, in the distance, Gel spotted something. It appeared to be large rock, set upright. There might be people in that direction! "Come brother!" He said. "If I am right we shall soon have answers, and perhaps some water."

Vanisster stiffened suddenly. Selinia looked at him, confused. "What is it brother?" He turned to the jungle. "You didn't hear that? It was so loud!" She shook her head. "I heard nothing." Vennidal put a hand to her ear. "I don't hear anything either. Perhaps your hearing is better than ours." He seemed to relax slightly, but still seemed wary. "Perhaps. But we should get moving just in case. Something, or someone is hiding in those woods, and I don't want to find out what it is." They started off down the beach

(Barren wastes... po-koro? XD that is what it sounds like XD but i am guessing taht is where Rem and Okami are so...) Near the rock was Okami pacing and still ranting while Rem leaned against the rock. He had a look of utter boredom on his face.

Phoenix looked at Kale with a small surprised look on her face and they followed the three. they were careful and managed to get ahead of them slightly. Both were wondering what new Toa were doing on the island.

Gel spotted movement at the base of the pillar. From here, he couldn't quite tell what they were. Naku placed a hand on his shoulder. "Brother careful, I have a bad feeling about those things. We must proceed with caution." Gel looked his brother up and down. The poor guy looked quite ill, not in any condition for fighting. "Alright brother. We will move more stealthily from here. A few minutes of creeping later and they crouched behind a boulder. They were about a hundred feet from the base of the rock. The things moving seemed to be of the same kind as them, but something felt off about them. Gel understood why Naku had been nervous. Something was wrong with these people. One was a bright red, similar to his own colors, and was shouting angrily about someone named Noah. The other, a black and grey male, leaned against the pillar. He seemed to be ignoring the fiery woman. Naku pointed at the ground behind her. "Look at that!" He said in a hushed tone. The places the woman had stepped were catching fire, some parts even melting slightly. So her words aren't the only fiery thing about her Gel thought. He turned to Naku. "What do you think brother? Should we leave them here, or capture them? We might be able to get some answers from them." After a moment he replied. "If we catch them of gaurd we might be able to win, but something tells me that the man has something up his sleeve as well. We must be careful." Gel nodded. They quickly came up with a plan. Picking up a large rock, Grl struck the back of the boulder. A loud crack rang out. Naku was hidden, daggers in hand, while Gel stepped out into view of the strangers. He held his mace at his side and stood unmoving. They must come to him for the plan to work.


Selinia walked at the front, with Vennidal behind her and Vanisster at the rear. They made good progress, eventually coming to the end of the beach. The air had begun to chill, and a mountain loomed to their right. Vanisster seemed on edge, so Selinia stopped. "What is it Vanisster?" He shook himself, as if cold. "Probably nothing. The noises have moved to in front of us. It sounds like... Leaves crunching, air whooshing, and if I listen very closely I can hear a thumping noise." Vennidal suddenly perked up. "Really?" she ask. "What does it sound like?" Vanisster closed his eyes, apparently concentrating. "It's quite faint, but the thumps are regular and come in sets of two-" Vennidal interrupted him. "Try listening towards me." He seemed confused, but obliged. He jumped slightly. "It's there! But much louder." Vennidal drew her weapon, a long bow, and nicked an arrow. "It's heartbeats! He can hear our heartbeats!" She swiveled, pointing her weapon in several directions. "I don't know how, but Vanisster's hearing is so good that he can hear bodily functions. That whooshing air? Breathing. The crunching leaves? Armor plating. Arm yourselves!" Selinia flicked her katana sour, while Vanisster drew out a long staff. "Show yourselves!" Selinia shouted. "Or we will attack!"

Okami spun to face him, bladed batons at the ready. Rem just looked up at him, then around a bit. "What? Who are you? What's another toa doing here? Ah well, I could use the fight!" She started forward but Rem quickly grabbed her and pulled her back. "This is why I travel with you when we split up." He said, flatly and coldly. "Ignore her, but just who are you? Oh and there is another one nearby isn't there? Classic ambush tactic using two: one gets their attention and the other hides." He added. Okami was struggling against his grip but wasn't using her elemental or mask powers to free herself.

Phoenix and Kale stepped out. "Whoa easy." Phoenix said. "We didn't mean any harm. We just found it weird that there were more toa here, that's all." She added, smiling. "I'm Phoenix, and this is Kale." He smiled and waved. "I'm sorry if we scared you, but things haven't been... good lately."

Selinia's mind raced. These two were obviously not from her group, but there presence was worrying. There was another group of Toa here, but for what purpose? Something about these toa seemed wrong to her. Every time she looked at them a strange chill ran down her, along with an intense distrust. She pointed her katana at the strangers. "How about this. You lay down your weapons, and we'll do the same. Then we can talk more comfortably." Vennidal did not seem to like this idea, but she lowered her bow nonetheless.

Gel shrugged his shoulders. "I have no one else with me." He gave the woman a pointed look. "And I suggest you get you friend there to calm down. I haven't attacked you...yet" he began a lazy circle around them, staying well out of reach. "I just want to know where I am, if there are any towns here, and if so, where." He swung his mace by its strap. "As long as you don't do anything rash, I will be on my way with no harm done." He needed to keep up this veil of confidence. They could easily take him with their strange abilities, but they didn't know that. As long as he seemed more powerful, he should be fine. Hopefully they didn't find Naku's hiding spot. He was to weak to defend himself.

Phoenix glanced at Kale. "We don't have our weapons out, you do. In any case talking seems to be the best way to go. Lets start with your names." She said. Kale watched them, staying quiet.

Rem watched him. "Look, I know there is another... probably weaker... and hiding..." He said, glancing near the spot where Naku was hiding at. "And its hard to control her. The best I hope for is to Keep her from fighting me."

Vennidal glared at the strangers. "Just because they aren't drawn, doesn't mean you can't use them." She began to ready her bow again, but Selinia held out her hand to stop her. She whispered into her ear. "Calm yourself sister. I don't trust them either, but we need information. Besides, theirs three of us and two of them. If it comes to it, we can take them." She turned back to the other Toa, holding her swords at her side. "My apologies if I don't trust strange people I just met. It's generally a bad habit to have. As for my name, it's Selinia. This is Vennidal and Vanisster, my siblings. If you don't mind my asking, where are we, who are you, and are there more of you hiding?"

Gel tensed How could he possibly know where Naku was? He was able to keep his confident facade despite his nerves, but he was unsure where to go from here. He was fairly certain that he wouldn't be able to fight the woman, given her unnatural abilities, and trying to hide would do no goo if the man could see you without his eyes. Then it hit him. It was the earth! The man could feel the vibration from movements through the ground. He frowned at the man. "Look, I would prefer not to have to fight you. Even if I couldn't win, I would definitely hurt you. You are correct about my friend however. He needs medical aid, soon. If you would just point is to the nearest place we could get that aid, we can all leave happily." He smirked at the woman. "Or at least, most of us can."

"Its fine." Phoenix said. "I am Phoenix, this is Kale and you are on an island. The inhabitants call it the Island of Mata Nui. There are more of my team, but they are all over the island." She added. "There is a small place where we can go and talk. Its a nice little clearing and afterwards if you want to go your own way you can." Kale said.

Rem's body language changed. "Bring him forward. I am a healer on our team." He said, concern in his voice. Even Okami's body language changed. "Bring him." She said. She too was concerned.

Selinia thought for a moment. She still didn't trust these two, but they knew more than she did. If she was going to get any more info, they would need to play along. Besides, wherever this clearing was would be just as good a starting point as any other. She nodded. "Lead the way then." Vennidal seem highly displeased with this, while Vannister just looked nervous.

Gel narrowed his eyes at the man. Did he really expect him to just hand over his sick brother? He's a complete stranger! A noise from behind the rock drew his attention. Rushing quickly around it, Gel was suddenly very glad the ambush hadn't worked. In the few minutes of talking, Naku had gotten even worse. His bright blue colors had faded to a dull grey, and he spoke in a whisper. "What took you so long?" Gel carried the limp man over to the others, setting him down before them. He gave Naku a pat on the shoulder, before turning to the two. "Look, I still don't trust you two in the least, but if you can help him I will be in your debt. However..." His hand tightened on his mace. "If you hurt him in any way, I will do everything in my power to end you."
