So to start it off, here is something that's been bothering me for quite a bit.
Whenever I post my art and ask for opinions on it, I barely get any opinions. I'm lucky to get 3-4 comments, if any. This makes me feel like people don't want to comment because they don't think it is good..? So they don't comment because the don't want to hurt my feelings..? Well it is hurting my feelings by not commenting when I clearly want opinions..
But then I see other people post their art, and they get tons and tons and tons of comments on it. All of them saying that it's really good and such. And there's comments on the other people's feeds from people that have me added as well.. so it's definitely not a problem that people don't see my feed.
I can't really explain it, but when people just don't give me opinions when I ask for them.. it just makes me feel really bad..
I know it seems dumb and that it shouldn't upset me, but it does and I can't help it so.. yeah.
That's all for now.
Title: Topic: Anonymous Hate Mail
Yeahh, that kind of hate mail. I mean, you would think people wouldn't get so emotional about people who they might not even know calling them names or whatever, but I think it's kind of the opposite??
Like, how I feel when/if I get anon hate mail is, I feel like someone that might not even know me is sending me hurtful messages. And I honestly don't like being judged by a person if they don't know me, especially if it's in a negative way.
Of course, it's not like I'm saying it's okay to send hate mail in any form, but anonymous hate mail to me is the worst kind. It also makes the other person who's sending the hate mail seem like a coward I guess, since you know, they aren't saying it and letting people know who is saying what. They are just hiding behind a screen, being rude.
I think if i got straight up hate mail, I'd deal with it better. I mean then at least I could actually respond or something. It just kind of rustles my fur, ya'know?
Title: Topic: Not Doing Things
Why tell me you were gonna do it, just to turn around and not do it? I don't get it.
Like one time someone told me they were gonna gift me this thing, and they never did. Why get my hopes up telling me that you were gonna do it, and then just.. not? Especially when it's something that I needed.
It's pretty much "thanks for nothing," am I right?
Title: Topic: No means no and stop means stop
Personally, when I tell someone to stop, or tell them no, I really do expect to not be bothered any more. Because when I say stop or no, I mean it.
Example: A random user offers me something for something I never said was for trade. I tell them no, yet even after clearly saying no, they continue to pester me. Eventually I tell them to stop, and they still don't.
You can basically count this as harassment, but it just seems like a lot of people don't know what stop and no mean..
Title: Topic: Unfriending because of friends
Like, why? I don't get it. Just because I'm friends with someone you don't like, doesn't mean I'm like them. Because I'm not them. I'm just their friend as well.
But hey, I mean fine. If you wanna flush our own friendship down the drain just because I am friends with someone you're not too fond with, do it. Shows how much of a true friend you really are.
Ugh.
Title: Auction Snipers, and people who are fed up with them
Anyways.
So this "discussion" topic has been around for a while, more or less and it has been a re-occurring thing over the 3 years that PH has been up and running. This is the mere problem of the people we call "auction snipers."
But here's the twist to this post.
My rant today is about people who complain about auction snipers.
Now, don't get me wrong, it's always annoying when people snipe an auction from you, and I completely understand that, despite the fact that I have sniped quite a few auctions myself.
But see, my problem with people who complain about auction snipers is that they just don't understand the fact that sniping auctions has always been a part of the game. Yes, it may seem unfair, but it really isn't.
Something I find the most ridiculous is that I have seen people actually quit the site, due to the fact that they were sniped on auctions a lot. I find this ridiculous because it's like.. the auction house isn't the only place to obtain Pokemon, so why get your fur in bundle just because you can't get that Pokemon via that way, when you can just get it somewhere else - possibly for cheaper?
Although, on the topic of these people, I have seen people freak out on others for sniping, and man.. talk about rude. (;¬_¬)
Title: Mini-Modding vs. userbase
Today my rant is about people who make a huge deal about people mini-modding. I for one, occasionally "mini-mod" in order to help people by well, let me use an example..
Let's say a user posts a feed, and in it, they spoil how to get a badge. Yes I am aware of the recent rule change, but posting how to get a badge is still against the rules because people who don't want to be spoiled will read it, and spoiling it for people who don't want to be spoiled is still a reportable offense.
If I see their feed, I usually comment saying something along the lines of "Hey, you should probably delete this feed it because it's breaking [x] rule." And some people get upset by this because I am not a "moderator" and I'm basically telling them what they "can and can't do," in a sense.
And like, yes I do understand that I am not a moderator but honestly I think a regular user telling you to delete something because it's breaking a rule is better than you being reported because of your rule breaking and thus getting the moderators on your case with a warning.
Would you rather have a reminder or an actual punishment, is what it comes down to in my opinion, because honestly I could not be "nice" and just flat out report rule breakers instead of politely reminding them of the rules.
Wait that actually sounds like a good idea.. I'll be like a masked super hero running around bettering the world by reporting rule breakers, like the cold hands of the law. ೕ(•̀ㅂ•́ )
