A Story with No Name
Forum-Index → Diaries → A Story with No NameIt was a dark night, and the surrounding forest was completely silent. The crescent moon was covered by the clouds, and illuminated just enough to see a lone figure in one of the clearings. It was completely silent, unnervingly so, and not even the nocturnal animals dared move for fear of being noticed by the figure.
The bushes rustled, and a young silver colored buck wandered into the clearing. It looked around, checking for danger, and satisfied that the figure in the middle of it didn't move, began grazing. The figure shifted slightly, and the buck tensed, ready to flee. It watched the figure, ready to run at the slightest provocation. Moments passed, which turned into minutes. Finally, satisfied that the figure wouldn't move, it started grazing again.
The figure had turned to look at the buck, and the clouds suddenly began a downpour. The deer, seeking shelter, left the clearing. Suddenly, seeming to be following the path of the buck, a brown doe and a pure white fawn came into the clearing. They left as suddenly as they had come, but the man had seen.
He stood, looking up at the sky. The cloudburst had surprised him a bit, but he knew as soon as he had seen the white fawn.
"It has started..." He said to himself, suddenly seeming tired. He turned and left the clearing, opposite of where the deer had gone.
