"Why don't you just invite the strangers in for coffee." She snapped, her tone laced with sarcasm. However, her brother, being the dense idiot he is, didn't pay any mind to the younger teens sarcasm and called out again.
"Would you guys like to come in for some coffee or something?" He asked kindly, leaning against the railing of the porch, a big, goofy grin spread out across his face.
Before walking across the street, Skylar firmly grasped onto Shay's arm.
"Get a read on them, find out what they're feeling, force yourself a Premonition if you have to, if there's any sign of them being evil, I will incinerate them straight to Hell." he told her who showed her understanding with a quiet nod.
Skylar looked at Kaito and found himself gazing into his eyes as they approached their house. Shay climbed the porch steps with Skylar following behind. Shay held out her hand at Akari with a smile while saying, "Hi, my name's Shannon but everyone calls me Shay." At the same time, Skylar held out his hand for a handshake in front of Kaito. "My name's Skylar." he said with a forced smile, looking into his eyes.

"Akari, this idiot is my brother. Kaito." She said in her usual gentle and shy voice.
Kaito's warm and invition smile grew and he politely shook Skylar's hand.
"So, how do you like your coffee?" He asked in an oddly chipper tone as he went to open the front door for everyone.
"I actually think I'll pass on the coffee, I'm pretty tired. Mind if we crash here tonight? Thanks." Shay rambled rudely, inviting herself to spend the night at the two stranger's house and plopping on the couch falling asleep almost instantly.
"I apologize for my sister's behavior, but I'll take my coffee black please..." Skylar told Kaito in a quiet voice while looking down.
"Please don't kill anyone." She mumbled through exhaustion and shuffled lazily across the carpeted floor and into her room.
Kaito chuckled and rolled his eyes. "You sure you don't want any sugar or creamer or something?" He asked Skylar as he made his way into the kitchen, turning on the coffee machine. He then shuffled past Skylar and grabbed his now cold coffee mug off the small table, making sure to not wake the sleeping girl, knowing how terrifying teenage girls can get if you wake them up without their consent.
"You can sit anywhere you want." Kaito offered, gesturing to the kitchen table and the bar/counter thing.
"I don't know how it works, but I'm pretty sure it's ... that time of month for her too..." he joked in the most flat tone possible while taking a seat at the kitchen table.
Skylar looked around as he waited for his cup of coffee. "This is a lovely home." he complimented while still observing the house and tapping his fingers together. "Um... after my cup of coffee, do you mind if I slept as well? My sister and I have been walking for a few hours now and I could use the rest if we plan to do the same tomorrow..." he asked with a worried tone as if he were afraid Kaito would say no.
"This was actually our parents home and our childhood home. I'd always been more fond of it than Akari though." I informed, making light conversation. He hummed for a second at Skylar's next choice of words.
"I don't see why not. I mean, I invited you both in and your sister is already out cold on my couch." He stated with a light laugh all while pouring two mugs of the finished coffee. He set the plain cup in front of his guest and went back to his mug to dump ridiculous amounts of sugar into it.
After Skylar finished the coffee, he stood up to wash the mug out in the kitchen sink, brushing Kaito's shoulder slightly by mistake as he passed by. "Oh, I'm sorry." he apologized while turning on the water.
"Uh, so you can stay in the guest room if you want. It's the second door on the right, the bathroom is the first door on the right and my room is the third door on the left if you need anything." He said, his usual cheeky grin plastered on his face as he instructed Skylar where everything was and lead him down the hall before heading off to his own room for the night.
"Night!" He called over his shoulder before closing the door, keeping it slightly ajar.
He walked into the bathroom and freshened up a bit, washing his face, using the restroom, brushing his teeth with a toothbrush he seemed to have in his pocket for RP purposes. After about ten minutes of being in the bathroom, he washed the gel out of his hair gently causing it to flatten and reach the bottom of his eyebrows.
He exited the bathroom and entered the Guest Bedroom, stripping himself of all his jeans, shirt, shoes and socks. He laid on the bed and closed his eyes with a sigh but found himself unable to sleep. He took the blanket at the foot of the bed and wrapped it around himself before walking into the hallway to where Kaito has pointed out where his room had been.
He knocked on the doorframe in case he knocked on the door and it opened due to it not being closed completely. "Hey, it's Skylar. I guess that cup of coffee is kicking in and I can't sleep sdo I was just wondering if maybe we could find something to talk about so I can fall asleep..." he said almost in a mumble.
'What's the harm?' He thought with a shrug.
"Sure. Come on in." He said, sitting up, rubbing his slightly tired eyes as he waited for Skylar to come in.
"I'm sorry - if I woke you up or anything... I seem to be saying sorry a lot tonight." he mumbled with a chuckle.
As his face turned bright red in the darkness of the room a string of bad scenarios and strings of profanities all raged about in his mind, that one single word slammed against his skull the most though. He just called this stranger cute.
"Y-you think it's ... c-cute?" he asked stuttering, his voice shaken at his sudden nervousness.
He turned his head so he'd look at Kaito slightly, trying to hide his blushing but attempting to catch a glimpse of his face to see if he'd been blushing as well. It was nearly impossible in the darkness, so he turned his head completely to face Kaito.
His blush deepened when he glanced back at Skylar shyly, his fingers twitching in anticipation. He turned his face entirely to the male beside him, his eyes flicking from Skylar's emerald eyes to his lips then back again, entirely unsure as to what to do with himself at the moment.
'Humans need oxygen to breathe.' He thought and slowly pulled away from the blonde, his breaths quiet yet ragged as he once again began to once again avoid eye contact with Skylar.
"I hope you know what you're getting yourself into, but I'm kind of happy that just happened." Skylar stated, finding this the right moment unwrap himself from the blanket he brought from the Guest Bedroom, revealing his bare chest and lay his head on one of the pillows before him. He looked up and into Kaito's eyes and smiled.
