"I hope I do!" squeaked Rose. She glanced over at the golden tabby tom sitting alone by the elder's den. "Who's that?" she asked. Nighttail blinked and looked over at him. "That's Lion," she said in reply.

Rose asked, "Can I go over to speak to him? He looks lonely." Nighttail simply replied, "Do whatever you want." Rose bounced over to Lion. "Hiya there!" she mewed. Lion just glanced over at her.

Rose excitedly sat up. "I'm Rose! Nice to meet you too!" Lion's fur fluffed out in annoyance. Loud kits, he thought. Then he remembered the quiet kit of the nursery, Duskkit.

Lion's ears flattened against the side of his head. "I'm surrounded by kits! Skyfall help me!" he called to Rainrock and Skyfall jokingly. Skyfall laughed at Lion's words and padded over. "So kits like Lion. I'll remember that."

"Hey Lion, does my dad know about this?" Sunkit asked rather loudly. "Don't yell, you might get him angry." Cloudkit scolded his elder brother. "Know about what?" Yellowstar asked, slipping out of the nursery after tending to his she-kits. "Well...This is quite a surprise." He pointed out, instantly noticing Rose and Lion.

Lion glanced at Yellowstar with a 'I will' look. Leafkit leapt onto Lion's back and stood there for a moment before playfully pawing at his back with - sheathed claws - her paws. Owlkit got onto her hind legs and tried to get his ears, but he kept raising his head out of her reach.
