Stormhiss was speechless. (So was Blackbird/Moonrise. Daypaw was too frightened/scarred to talk)

"Lunarstar..." Blackbird whispered, going into shock.

Wishpaw flicked her tail onto Daypaw's flank for comfort, the she herself was scared but she put on a tough act for him.

Snowfall knew she would have died and was speechless.

Ambereye looked to the deputy. "Yellowsting... you're the leader now." She mewed softly, looking down at Lunarstar with tears in her eyes.

Daypaw stared at the ground, his ears flat. He was embarrassed. "Sorry.." He said lowly and pulled his tail back.

Ambereye sat back, unable to open her eye. "Half-blind... great StarClan..." She muttered a little furiously.

Rainrock mewed, "Yellowsting, will you be choosing your Deputy now or later?" He didn't want to be Deputy. He hadn't ever had an apprentice. Was Nighttail the only cat who finished an apprenticeship?

Nighttail thought, Before I became a medicine cat I finished an apprenticeship... So I technically can be deputy... But I don't wish to be...

man i need to restructure this thing. come back later when it's all dolled up

Blackbird sat up shakily, coughing up blood.

Why is this she-cat making me feel so... weird? Daypaw thought. He didn't want to think of the word that described it, but he just accepted it and wrapped his tail around her awkwardly.
