Taiyou laughed due to embarrassment, and followed Blaziken. "I know that this is a terrible idea, given your speed, but... I'll race you to the cave that we have to go through!!"

(I do.) Blaziken gave his master a three second head start before running after him at nearly double the speed. His speed was in fact increasing due to speed boost.

Nijito called for Latios again and then started playing with his lighter again.

Taiyou was immediately outrun by his partner, but kept going anyway. He noticed that Blaziken was repeatedly glowing green, and realized that he had forgotten all about his partner's Ability, Speed Boost. "I knew this was a bad idea," he said with a slight laugh.

Blaziken caught up with Taiyou and then ran ahead to the cave. He then stopped and waited patiently.
