The Arcalix sighed as he watched the other male leave, then got up
and started to look around the building to see what he could find.
There wasn't anything useful, and after about twenty minutes of
looking he decided to head out to try and find some more food as
well.
((No worries. I'm working on the furry image of Ray. So I didn't
even notice XD))
Ray made his way to the forest, flicking his ears a little at how
rough the plant life looked from what the humans had done to it.
After a few minutes of wandering, he saw the Zoroark from earlier
trying to get to some berries.
"You got them okay?" he asked, cringing at the thorns around the
berries.
Ray laughed a little, unable to stop himself.
"Looks like the plant has beat you," he said as he pulled his tail
around and knocked a few berries free with it.
((sorry about the delay, I didn't get the notification
>.<))
Ray sighed and shook his head, then went to pick up some more of
the berries he knocked off with his tail. He figured that he'd just
stay out of the Zoroark's way, unless he came back.
"I was just trying to help, since it's easier to get the berries
with my tail, because it's coated in metal," he muttered to
himself, feeling a little bad about how the Zoroark walked off.
(It's ok! I have to go now, can we continue tomorrow?)
Zoroark sighed as he looked at the ground, ashamed of refusing to
accept help when he most needed it. He looked back, unsure if
Arcanine would accept him
Ray was half in the bush as he worked on gathering the berries that
had fallen, his tail swishing behind him as he picked them up and
nibbled on a few while he put the rest in his pockets.
Ray hit the Zoroark with his tail lightly, and that was what told
him that someone was there. He backed out from under the bush and
sat down, looking up at the other canine.
"Welcome back. Do you want some of the berries? Or did something
else come up?" he asked with what he hoped was a friendly smile,
even though it might not seem so friendly with his large bottom
fangs.
"Here, go ahead and eat up. It's lucky that most Pokémon and humans
have a harder time with these bushes, as there's plenty of berries
here," Razar said with a smile. Then, noticing that the Zoroark
seemed a little disappointed in accepting help, he decided to add,
"Besides, everyone needs help from time to time. If we could do
everything, we might as well be Arceus, right? And even he can't do
everything by himself."
((Sorry, I've been sleeping off and on all day today, because of
headaches from lack of sleep thanks to the animals.))
"Yeah, well... It will only get harder from here on in. After all,
after years of this, there's little hope for things to get much
better, right?" Ray asked as he put some more berries in his
pockets.
"A little before high sun," the Arcanine replied with a shrug.
"Does it really matter, though? It's not like there's much that's
time specific anymore"
