"Xeru. And you just stole our food. You do realize that's still a
crime, no matter how bad the world has gotten, don't you?"
Xeru's voice was back to the calm tone that held much more power
than it should, and this time there seemed to be an underlying
threat to it.
"That's very kind of you. Very well, I'll allow it," Xeru said, his
choice of wording making it sound like he was looking down on the
Blaziken, though that wasn't the case. It was more just what he was
used to using when giving permission for something.
Xeru rubbed his head, confused by Zorxa's reaction.
"Well, at least the two of us can eat, anyways," he said to
Blaziken as he took some of the berries to eat. He took a bite out
of one, then spit it out with a shocked look on his face.
"Please tell me that there's better stuff than this around," he
said as he looked to Zorxa for a reply, since he hoped Zorxa
understood where he was coming from.
"Forgive me, then. I'm just not quite used to this lack of...
whatever it is," Xeru replied with a laugh.
"Though, I am not entirely sure what it's supposed to taste
like..."
"Heard of? Yes. Know how they taste? No. We don't have these kinds
of berries where I'm from. Then again, Celebi brought the berries
here and Suicune helped with getting them started, then it's been
left to the other creatures for how they have grown and changed. I
wonder if it's because of the air, or if it's the water, or what it
is that changed what we have into these berries..."
