"You killed a badger" Sootclaw sharply stated. "I don't think someone that was able to kill a badger should live a clan life with no role or significance." Sootclaw let out a sigh. "Do not belittle yourself so much. You're still young, and there's still lots more to come. And plus. I obviously don't think you're a 'thirsty ball of fur'. If it wasn't for you, lots of other cats would have died by the claws of that badger you managed to kill".

"Its hard to show off your skills when your treated like a twoleg. Its just hard to think that I haven't been scent away for being dangerous.. Everyone is weary around me..." Wolfpaw flattened her ears against her head. "Sorry for lashing... I don't do that much but I'm horrible when it comes to socializing with other cats.."

"It's hard because you're paying more attention to them than to yourself. You've been focusing so much on them, that you can't see your own potential"
Sootclaw sits down and licks his paw. "Tell me. What do you want to do from now on?"

"I honestly don't know.... I feel like everyone wants me to die for the safety of there clan.." Tears sat at the edges of her eyes. She curled her tail around herself.

Sootclaw looked at Wolfpaw and said nothing. His eyes showed a hint of sympathy.
He stood up and began to walk away.
"When you've decided, come find me"

Sootclaw padded away to go hunt, and fill up the fresh-kill pile

//Mega whiteleap rant ahead

Whiteleap nods and turns to snowflank. "Think you'll be alright for a while? I guess I'm going on a walk then." he twitched his nose. As he headed out of camp with Shadedpelt he was quiet, thinking about what to say. He finally spoke up. "So what exactly would you like to know about... 'my plans' as you call them? I mean, there is not much to say. I mean, I just became deputy, and my main goal is to make sure the clan is healthy. Snowflank....well, nevermind that. So many kits will be born soon. Civetpelt is bearing kits, your sister is bearing kits, and our main focus is to make sure they're healthy and strong, and we raise them to become strong warriors." he turns away. "But despite our abundance of kits, we need more warriors to apprentice them. I know we're a clan composed of a lot of cats who arent clanborn, but I feel that if they can prove themselves to be loyal, they deserve a chance to redeem themselves and become true clan cats. Only then will we be truly a pure clan, when we can learn to realize that we need as many strong cats as we get. They need to prove their loyalty of course, and if they cant abide by the warrior code, or our customs, then we can act." whiteleap pauses. "I know the amount of rogues and strays in this clan unsettle you. I'm sorry about that, and it's really not my fault that Icetooth wasn't born here, but is it really right to cast out a cat looking for a home just because they aren't one of us? We would be cruel for that, leaving potential allies to starve because of something we cant change. And i'm not saying we need to accept all strays. Look at Kauri, she was found injured, and we took her in. We didn't know we could trust her at all, but she proved to have an interest in our work. A genuine kit-like innocence that led her to becoming our new medicine cat apprentice. Ollie may become a strong warrior someday, he's shy but strong, I can tell. I mean, I came here from my old clan because I needed to stay with my father's clan. I felt connected to everyone here, and now look at me. I'd die to prove that I'm a fruitclan warrior, and not a foreign disease known as a halfclan cat. So why should we cast out possible allies? So long as they aren't kittypets?"

Meanwhile Firelight decided to stray from the group he was with to gather herbs, and he should totally run into Sootclaw so he would be able to help with the kitting.

Wolfpaw sighed, wiping the tears with her paw. "I wish I could tell you..." Dragging herself out, she decided to go out of the camp.

Sootclaw walked through the forest, sniffing the air out for any nearby prey. The thing that was constantly distracting and bothering him was his mother. He's never actually seen her, so he has no idea what she looks like and who she is in general. Whether she's dead or alive is unknown too.
Sootclaw remembers that Longear told him he had two sisters...
"I wonder where they are now" Sootclaw said to himself.

Sootclaw's ears pricked up as he heard something rustle in the bushes. It was a squirrel.
Seeing it come out of the bushes, he crouched down and pounced onto it, piercing it's neck with his claws. Leaving the squirrel in a place where he can pick it up later, he spots a blackbird from the distance. Just as he was about to pounce on it, it's flies away as there was a louder rustling coming from the bushes from the direction of the clan camp.

"Damn it..." He wondered who was responsible for scaring the prey away.

Civetpelt has just finished eating. The chervil she was given seems to be helping, but she still can't help but think the kits are coming soon.
She has tried to fall asleep multiple times, but was awoken due to sudden sharp pains.

Wolfpaw dragged herself onto a rock. She panted, just dragging herself was hard enough. Viewing the area, she saw a cat, a bird and to many small mice. WOlfpaw smiled. She let out a loud hiss. Quickly propping herself up to the lowest branch, the bird seemed disturbed. She threw herself at the bird, barely catching it, she crushed her teeth around its neck.

Firelight padded out from the bushes, Marigold leaf in his jaws. "Sootclaw?" he mewed softly through his herbs as he found himself face to face with his clanmate.

Hearing the familiar voice, Sootclaw turned around and his annoyed expression instantly turned into a joyful one. "Firelight! Wasn't expecting to see you here".

Firelight dropped his herbs and purred. "I was out with Fernwing, we went to look for Flintstar and Treefall. I decided to branch off and collect some herbs before heading back to camp early in case anyone needed me"

"I see." Sootclaw quickly looked back to see if the squirrel he caught a while ago was still there. Seeing it, he turned back to face the medicine cat.
"Well, this is quite a coincidence. I just happen to need you. Well, Civetpelt needs you. We both think she's ready to start kitting, and I don't think she can do it alone"

Wolfpaw dug her teeth into the bird. The tang of blood hit her tongue. She bit deeper holding onto it and got herself down from the branch.

"a kitting!" He yowled. "bring my herbs back to camp!" Firelight meowed as he dashed off to help. Once back in camp he gathered all his unnecessary herbs and ran to the nursery.

Civetpelt felt that the kits were coming. She caught the attention of the other queens that were with her and some other clan mates when she started whining and twitching due to the pain.

Sootclaw picked the herbs up, leaving the squirrel behind, and ran after Firelight back into the camp. He saw a few cats standing outside the den.
Sootclaw walked over towards Civetpelt and sad beside her, licking her. "You can do it. Firelight is here now. He'll help you"

Firelight drops a stick in front of Civetpelt. "Bite down on this whenever you feel pains." He meowed urgently, sorting through his herbs before placing a paw on her swollen belly, trying to get an idea on how many kits he'd have to deliver.

Flintstar padded into the camp with Snowflank. Her ears perked when he saw her clan coming in and out of the nursery. "Is it happening?" She looked at Snowflank and purred loudly. She flicked her tail and ran off to the nursery. "Civetpelt?" She asked when she poked her head into the nursery.

Civetpelt bit down on the stick tightly. She hears her sister's voice and turns her gaze to her, and she then realizes how many cats have gathered around the nursery.
Civetpelt dug her claws deep into the dirt due to a sudden sharp pain. "One's... c-coming", she said, while still biting down on the stick

Sootclaw is delighted to see Flintstar. "Flintstar! She's kitting!", he said with excitement, and a hint of worry. He turned to face Firelight. "Firelight, don't make her go through to much pain!". Sootclaw continues licking his mate, trying to support her.

Through out the speech Shadedfur was silent. Her gait was strong but stiff, her hind leg stretching awkwardly now and then. She was careful not to tax it to the point of opening the wound. "You need to have a plan. What good is a strong clan without direction?" she mewed easily. "The amount of non-clanborn cats is irrelevant right now, though if we take in every cat that asks for a home we'll be a clan no more and become a band of rouges with a leader."

The she-cat shook her head. "By plan I mean. With so many kits on the way the nursery should be expanded and reinforced. The amount of predators in the territory as of late says we should reinforce the camp walls. Hungry badgers or foxes might attack the camp to get to so many mewling kits."

She took a pause, stretching out her leg to work out a cramp. "Have you taken care of the badgers body? It'll attract scavengers. Have you thought of the night patrol? Battle training? Hunting parties? A patrol should be lead to make sure that badger didn't have a set and a mate. Have you thought about any of that?"

Rosepetal squeezed out of the nursery to give Civetpelt the space she needed. Laying down on the warm ground she didn't have thye energy to stand around and gawk with hopeful eyes. She felt a twinge in her own belly but ignored it. It was just a reaction to the already kitting queen. Or so she hoped.

"You're doing great Civetpelt!" She cried out with a breathless voice.
