So basically this whole thread will be random facts I learn about pokemon. I'll do in-depth research as to certain ones and share it all with whoever cares to read it, but write in in a journalistic-ish style. THE IMAGES ARE NOT MINE. While I may draw one from time to time, most will not be created by me. I'll have a link the the artist somewhere in the post.

Ex:
Today I went exploring near Professor Oaks lab. I had been examining a Caterpie that had climbed to the roof somehow when the lab door opened and none other than Oak himself walked out. He looked at me, surprised for a moment, then up to the roof where the Caterpie peered down curiously. Back to me... Then to the roof. Then he laughed. He laughed so hard and I just couldn't figure out why.
"Confused?" He asked through chuckles.
"Um yes..?"
"Caterpie have suction cups on their feet that allow them to climb walls, and even upside down if they need. They also have a marvelous defense mechanism. See that antennae on it's head? It releases a smell so powerful it can drive away powerful enemies!"
I was momentarily stunned by the power this common leaf eater had, and the fact that I hadn't known it for so long. I mean, I grew up near these guys and all this time they could have been like a personal bodyguard! Wow. Here's a sketch.

(I'll pick more interesting things than Caterpie, this was just an example.)

Title: Three Spirits

I heard a strange story today... I had heard Celestic Town would be a great place to learn more about pokemon lore and history, and it did not disappoint! An elderly woman told me a strange myth she had heard...

Look not into the Pokémon's eyes.
In but an instant, you'll have no
recollection of who you are.
Return home, but how?
When there is nothing to remember?
Dare not touch the Pokémon's body.
In but three short days, all emotions
will drain away.
Above all, above all, harm not
the Pokémon.
In a scant five days, the offender
will grow immobile in entirety.

Now, listen to this... The legendary lake trio of Sinnoh has three peculiar qualities. Look not into the pokemons eyes... Uxie always has it's eyes closed, so none can look into them. Dare not touch the pokemons body... Mesprit always flees when seen, perhaps to keep from being touched? Harm not the pokemon... Azelf is capable of entering others bodies. Is this to keep from being harmed?
That's not the only way it makes sense. If we are to say that the above is true, and that the myths refer to the lake trio, it can still further be proved. Uxie is the pokemon of knowledge, and always keeps it's eyes closed. The myth states that if you look into 'the' pokemons eyes, you will have no recollection of who you are. It ties right in with Uxies eyes AND reputation. The same occurs with the last two. Mesprit, pokemon of emotions. If you touch it, you lose emotion. That ties in with it fleeing others. Azelf, pokemon of willpower, if harmed, will make you immobile. You lose all willpower, which again ties in with Azelf entering others.
I'll make a sketch later so you know exactly what NOT to do if you were to encounter any of these pokmeon!
