Gardevoir was still asleep.
Latios suddenly had an idea. He began to glow - slightly at first, then more and more - until he was finally cloaked by a shining veil of rainbow sparkles. This veil was the same shape as him at first, but suddenly formed a sphere around him. "HEAL PULSE!!" A huge wave of healing energy burst out of the sphere; Latios stopped glowing, and Gardevoir was surrounded by a shower of light before suddenly awakening.

"I see no point in giving up," Latios said. "We've come this far, anyway, and we even stood our ground against the Legendary Rayquaza!" He paused. "We did win, right? I kind of fainted too soon to see, so..."
I fainted to protect Fern, Gardevoir said, so I don't know, either. Fern, did you beat Rayquaza? After all, we're in the same place that we fought him, so you must have scared him off...

(Latios was also unconscious.)
