In Generation 1, there was suppossed to be 190 pokemons instead of 151 but, the programators could only finish 151 of them in the time that they had and 39 left unfinished.The unfinished are mostly Missingno and other glitches like M or 00 or FF.(FF is Charizard M)These keep the balance of the game so if they wouldn't be there, the game would have a disbalance due to empty slots so, the glitches keep in the game, however, Mew is not a glitch (sorry if i'm getting Off-Topic) but a simple pokemon programmed into an Event and a Glitch.

Mew is a pokémon added after the debuging of the game, it's more a hidden pokémon than a event.


Well actualy, Yellow missingno is Ho-oh.

Well the Theory is close to the actual real story.
Real story is that... Kangaskhan was meant to have a pre-evolution. But in the last minute, they decided that it wouldn't have a pre-evolution, so they removed it's.. "sprite" I guess.
That why Missing.no evolves into Kangaskhan.

Actually, G00gle's theory is the correct one.
The Kangaskhan pre-evolution is merely speculation. The only confirmed reason some glitch Pokémon evolve into Kangaskhan is because Kangaskhan has the index number 002 (and plenty of glitch Pokémon evolve into Rhydon, 001, so it's not that unlikely that this is coincidence). Besides, there are multiple Missingno. - not just one - and there's no way all of them were planned pre-evolutions. (Not to mention that Missingno. doesn't evolve into Kangaskhan - a version of the related M' does - so if anything was planned as a pre-evolution to Kangaskhan, it's M'.)
Ordinarily, I wouldn't be this nitpicky, but since you did say that was confirmed as the "real thing," I thought I'd clarify. ^^

NineXKing, that is incredible. It's obviously not perfect because it's so glitchy, but it really does resemble Ho-Oh (and Yellow WAS based on the anime, so it would make sense). ^^

That's a really good theory. Did you see the Pokerus theory about how pokemon started? I know im getting off topic but it's a good theory too you should see it.

Actually, with a glitch you can pass Gen II pokemons to Gen I, making like Celebi in error,and other things.

Exactly! Missingno and M multiplies your sixth item in bag by 128 and the maximum number is 99 so it displays error tiles as number .
