I know that the title is grim and dark, but the idea is nowhere near as dark.

On the GTS, when searching for a Pokemon one wants, one may find many trades set up several months in advance. The oldest one I've personally found is over a year old. These trades are usually stagnant, the user being terribly inactive or blocked, so these offers take up space and data, making it harder for users to search for active offers on the GTS offering a rare Pokemon.

In regard to this, what if GTS offers had an expiration date? The exact amount of time could be changed by admins by what they see fit, but I personally feel that three months is a fair amount of time for a user's offer to be up on the GTS. The expiration date won't be displayed, as the amount of days/months since offers are made are displayed. This expiration implement would just keep the GTS fresh and full of new offers.

Thank you to everybody that read this. Please give your opinions about this suggestion, and rate it below.

While I support this idea very much, I'm almost very certain that this has been suggested by another person before.... .w.
Otherwise, this would help clean up the GTS so much! >w<

@Bettalong Thank you for pointing out that it may have been suggested before. Once I have the time, I will be try searching for that suggestion. And thank you for showing support.

@TailsPrower Yes, but what if that user had stopped using PH? You wouldn't get that Shaymin anyways. This suggestion is to weed out the offers that are made by inactive/deleted/banned accounts so that active accounts' offers can be given more of a front and center, so when you find a Shaymin you want, you're more likely to actually get it.

@Stabilization well, you can check if he is alive or not leaved or not PH in his auction on his userpage.

I think what stabilization means is that it is just removed entirely. It just goes back to the owner, and if the owner is still active, then that user can just set it up. And the only way that would happen is if you offered on like, the last minute, :P

Maybe the time limit would be something reasonable, like 1 month. If no one's offer has been accepted by that point the owner has probably forgotten it or disappeared

and tails, if you are offering on trades that old, you probably wont get anything anyway

If you can read this, you know how to read.
