The small white tom frantically looked around, he was looking for something or someone...
"Winter" he whispered loudly "Winter" he hissed in annoyance "I need your help"
"What did you do, this time, my leader" she mocked "Did you accidentally anger them, again?"
"We need more warriors! Moonrest got in a fight, and she kinda killed Shatteredstorm..."
"You've got to be kidding me. You didn't even bother to stop them? Plus its just one warrior. "
"About that... Others joined in too" he gave a weak smile
Winter sighed "How many?"
"About half of our warriors"
"I can't believe Rabbitstar put you as his Deputy! I kinda feel bad since now all the warrior lives depend on you now"
"I'm a good leader, I'm just nervous" he admitted
"Fine, you'll just have to practice your convincing skills and you'll be set. "
The tom nodded then pointed to his left with his tail
" They're over here"
Winter followed him through the foggy forest, the worst time to travel. They were both forced to ignore the humid conditions, it's been like this ever since they got to the forest.
"Moonrest? "
A light grey she-cat turned around, she had many scratches and wounds on her.
"Why?"
"He started it! He said I couldn't beat him in a battle, so I did"
"That doesn't mean you had to kill him, he was one of our best fighters!" Winter hissed
"So you're on his side? " She unsheathed her claws
"Hey! No need to fight, we're already down to half of the Warriors we had, we can't risk losing any more warriors" he reasoned
"He's right, we can't handle losing more warriors"
They all looked at each other, of they keep on going like this they'll all die.
The white tom looked forward
"It's your destiny to lead us" he muttered to himself
Everything began to fade, the little kit slowly gained consciousness, they couldn't hear or see, only the darkness accompanied them.
"The shadows will dwindle and the light will rise to victory, only for three cats to cause the unbalance of their own clan's harmony, one will have to rise above the rest and bring back the balance of their clan"
The strange words echoed in the little kits head,they didn't understand what it said, but why would they know? They're only kits.
Chapter 1-New kits
A Tall brown tom pushed his was to the front of the crowd "Dawnbreeze meet me near the river" he whispered to a beautiful cream colored She-cat.
"Rippledrop? Is she okay?" he slowly walked past the She-cat
"Yes Nightfang , come see so yourself" replied the blue-gray tom
"Thank you" he dipped his head then headed inside.
"Silverblossom! I'm so glad you're okay" he nuzzled a tabby She-cat with fabulous icy fur.
"Of course, I'm fine!" He sat down and looked at the small kits.
"They are so beautiful" Silverblossom gave a little laugh.
"Two She-kits and a Tom" she pointed at the kits to show him which was which "Why don't you help me name them?" She offered.
"definitely" he nodded "I have already come up with the hazel spotted She-kits name"
"Really? That fast?" She looked at the She-kits
"Yes, really, I think Hazelkit fits so well with her" they both giggled like Apprentices
"How creative, Nightfang."
"While we were giggling I came up with the toms name" Said Silverblossom
"It can't be more creative than Hazelkit's " he joked
"Yes, it is" she looked at the brown tabby Tom, who was calm compared to his two sisters "Batkit. "
"Great, but why Batkit?" he asked
"Because.... He's unusually quiet, unlike Hazelkit and her sister" she looked at the unnamed Icy gray tabby She-kit.
"What about the last kit?" he asked, a tad bit serious this time "Let's call her..... Gemkit" she stared at her three kits, then she looked back at Nightfang
"yeah, Gemkit" he agreed.
"Beautiful names.... " Nightfang turned to see the camp entrance "I have to go... I don't want to crowd the nursery" he stood up, and padded away
"you don't-" Silverblossom wanted him to stay "Where do you go?Why do you leave me? " She whispered, slowly drifting off into sleep as she focused on her kits.

"I don't want to sleep!" Gemkit scrambled around the nursery trying not to let her mother get her.
"Gemkit, you need your sleep! You won't be able to wake up tomorrow" Silverblossom struggled to keep up with the young kit
"You'll never catch me anyways! I'm faster and smaller" Gemkit ran between her mother's paws, then ran through the nest, accidentally stepping on Hazelkit's tail. Hazelkit woke up abruptly and yelped in pain.
"ENOUGH!" She shouted then looked directly at Gemkit "You will go to sleep right now or else I won't let you go outside and I'll tell Waspstar not to let you become an apprentice!" She could tell she had frightened Gemkit
"Alright." Gemkit surely isn't mad, right? Silverblossom carefully curled around her kits,surprisingly, Gemkit had fallen asleep quickly. "Why did this one need to be so mischievous? " She whispered.
Gemkit slowly opened her eyes. She was alone "Mom!" She looked around, her siblings weren't there either.
"shh, it's alright" She heard from behind,
"Who are you?" She said as she turned around
"I'm the one and only Greypaw, of course!" he smiled "Uh-huh" She squinted her eyes "There's probably many other Greypaws out there"
Greypaw frowned "Hey you don't need to be such a killjoy" Gempaw looked around,
"Sorry, it kinda slipped out" Gem kit let out a small giggle.
"Sure it did, now I came here to tell you something you might like" Greypaw's smile came back
"Unsheathe your claws, please" Gemkit rolled her eyes
"I have claws, what a surprise" She sighed
"Will you be quiet! Just look closer."
Gemkit looked at her claws, they looked crystallized and clear
"What's so special about them? I've always had them like this" Greypaw got closer
"Your claws are made of crystals! Other cats don't have that!" he unscathed his claws to show her
"Oh... Really? I probably should pay more attention to that. "
"With your claws, your attacks will be stronger, though I can't guarantee that you'll always win a battle since It depends on your skills," said Greypaw.
Gemkit was getting a bit anxious
"What if others see my claws?"
Greypaw looked surprised "Uh... Oh yeah, Mousetail and Shadowleaf will take care of that. "
Greypaw started to fade away "Remember Gempaw, don't get too proud of yourself , you'll lose everything you have if you don't pay attention."
Gemkit blinked for a second "I'm not sure if that's a threat, but I'll try to remember! "
She thought for a second 'If I'm so special why will I lose everything? Could it be the price of my claws or will it be my fault?' Gem kit shook her head 'I'm getting way to into the subject'
The floor began to shake, suddenly the floor split and Gemkit plummeted into darkness.

"Gemkit! Gemkit!" Batkit was smiling "Let's go outside! Dad's about to leave!"

Gemkit slowly fluttered her eyes open "Uh.... Batkit..?" She blinked a few times to clear her vision
"Come on! Nightfang's leaving!" Batkit pulled on Gemkits tail
"Alright! I'm up!" She slowly stood up "Let's see if we can sneak up on him!"
Batkit ran out of nursery with Gemkits a few tail lengths behind. Suddenly, Batkit stopped "Shh" he slowly followed his father through the underbrush
"Dawnbreeze is following him" Gemkit whispered to Batkit.
"I know, she's scary" he muttered
The two warriors stopped and turned to each other
"Did you tell Silverblossom?" asked Dawnbreeze, she seemed anxious
"No, I couldn't do it! She had her kits a few moons ago. I can't just leave her now, my kits need their kin to look up to!"
Dawnbreeze clenched her teeth then let out an irritated sigh "Listen, If you really love me you will tell her that you don't want to be mates with her anymore, BUT you will not tell her about our relationship."
Gemkit's father hesitated "But, now is the time she needs me! She needs my help with the kits! You made me leave her alone in the nursery when she had my kits." he seemed really worried, especially since it's Dawnbreeze he is dealing with.
"Hold on, let me see some more the bush doesn't let me see." Gemkit slightly pushed Batkit aside.
"I want to see too!" he pushed her back
"Hey! You've seen enough!" she hissed
Gemkit pushed Batkit again, Batkit gave a tiny hiss then leaped on Gemkit. The two arguing kits stumbled out of the bush into plain sight. Dawnbreeze looked at the kits
"Did you send them!" She hissed
"No, they must have followed us here..." Dawnbreeze unsheathed her claws
"Calm down, they're just kits they won't do any harm" he reassured her
"Nightfang are you really this mousebrained!? They can always go back and tell Silverblossom, after all, she is their mother" She walked up to Gemkit and Batkit with a look of disgust"So, these are your kits.. "
Batkit and Gemkit slowly began to back away
"Nightfang! Go kill Batkit I'll get Gemkit" Nightfang stood still for a second
"I don't want to kill my own son..." Nightfang slowly approached Batkit, he tried to back away, but he didn't want to disappoint Dawnbreeze "Please forgive me" he whispered before picking up Batkit
"No, Batkit!" Gemkit tried to grab on to his tail, but Dawnbreeze stepped in and was able to knock Gemkit into a tree.
Gemkit laid near the tree knocked out. Nightfang gave Batkit minor wounds thankfully for him it wasn't enough to kill him.
"Let's go, " muttered Dawnbreeze as she began to walk away
"But what about the kits?"
She turned her head and faced Nightfang "They'll be crow food in a few days" She said before walking away.
"I'm really sorry, hopefully, it won't enough to kill them" he sighed before walking away.
Upon reaching the camp Nightfang walking passed Silverblossom "Nightfang! Thank goodness I found you! Gemkit and Batkit are missing!" Silverblossom's face was filled with fear
"I.... I saw them running after... Uh... A mouse! Yes, that's right! I last saw them near the bushes along the clearing." Nightfang gave her a weak smile
"Why didn't you stop them!? Nightfang, they're only 4 moons old! They aren't ready to explore the forest on its own!"
Nightfang folded his ears back in sorrow "I thought ... You knew they were outside!"
Silveblossom shook her head "Thanks anyways" She quickly bolted out of the camp.
"I wish I could take all of this back" he frowned before going into the warriors den.

Gemkit's aching head caused her to wake up "Ugh, where am I?" She was in a forest, but it was dark and gloomy.
"Batkit?" she whispered; she didn't bother to lift her head from the ground "Batkit?..." as her vision cleared, she noticed Batkit was talking to some cat.
Gemkit narrow her eyes to get a better look "Who is he talking to?" It was a white and brown spotted tom,but he was short for a full grown tom but he was taller than Batkit, so Gemkit Assumed he was a full grow Tom.
"Batkit!" She slowly stood up, she was expecting some sort of pain, but she felt fine. "Batkit! Who are you talking to?" She started to walk over to the two; the turned his head towards Gemkit then disappeared.
"He said he is my friend" Batkit looked up to her "For the first time someone said they were my friend!"
Gemkit tilted her head a bit "Batkit, I don't think you should trust him just yet"
Batkit frowned "don't worry, he said he'll see... He'll see if I am good enough to be his friend" Batkit smiled nervously
"I wonder why we're here" Gemkit looked around then noticed a faint glow at the distance "Batkit! Batkit, do you see that glowing thing over there!?" Gemkit pointed it out to Batkit
"I don't see anything" he said as he shook his head
"It's there, I see it" She looked at the glow "I'll go check it out" She began to walk away from Batkit
"What about me?" he followed behind her "You can come with me or you can stay here" Batkit smiled "I'll go with you" he quick followed Gemkit behind trying to avoid looking back.
"It's the other forest! " Gemkit smiled
"The one in my dream!"
Batkit looked confused "I don't see any other forest"
Gemkits smile faded away "Heh... What do you mean? Batkit, It's right there in front of you" Gemkit walked a few steps forward "This space separates the two forests"
Batkit didn't seemed to see what Gemkit was seeing "Gemkit, you're fading away..." Batkit tried to follow Gemkit, but he could barely see her "Gemkit!" he ran towards her, but once Gemkit faded away there was nothing left "Gemkit....?" Batkit sighed
"Did she already abandon you?" asked someone from behind, it was the white tom.
"I don't understand, she was right there! Then... She faded away" Batkit tried not to show his sadness he felt like nothing without Gemkit.
"You're too young to see it, but there is a barrier that keeps me and my friends out of the other forest, and it keeps us here"
Batkit looked around "Why? Why is it so dark?"
The Tom smiled "Don't worry about that. I'll be here to guide you, if you listen to me I'll show you a path to success" he put his tail around Batkit "If Gemkit ever abandons you, I'll always be here for you"
Batkit looked up at him "Will she abandon me? Will she just leave me all alone?" The tom sighed "There's a possibility" Batkit frowned "You don't need her, here you'll have many friends"
Batkit rested his head against the tom "Th-thank you"
"Don't worry, I'll be there for you"

Gemkit looked behind her "Greypaw! Greypaw.... I feel bad for leaving Batkit behind." Gemkit sat down "He just couldn't see this forest... I would have taken him with me." Greypaw walked up to Gemkit
"I see you're feeling better" Greypaw smiled
"No, I feel bad." Greypaw sat next to Gemkit
"I know it may seem a lot for you, all of this, but I'll tell you it will get worse" He said.
Gemkit looked at him "That didn't help"
Greypaw giggled "Your brother can't see this forest, all of us, because he's already with the dark forest. The barrier is ment to keep out the cats who have broken the warrior code and have done evil."
Gemkit looked at him completely horrified "You mean those cats are evil! So, they took my brother? Will he be evil too?"
Greypaw hesitated "Depends, If he chooses to go against the dark forest, he'll be fine, but if he decides to fight for them, he too will go to the dark forest at death" he said though he kept it at a neutral tone to prevent Gemkit from getting too frightened
"I can stop him right?" She looked at him, eyes saddened at the news
"It's not always up to you, but the actions you choose will either help or hurt him "

Silverblossom followed the path towards the clearing. She sniffed the air, Nightfang was definitely here, but he was with someone else. "Batkit! Gemkit!" She looked around then saw her kits laying on the floor unconscious "My kits!" She ran over to them, they had sapphire clan scent all over them, so it had to be someone from their clan "Nightfang..." suddenly she found a faint scent of flowers... Dawnbreeze. "They did this to you both" Silverblossom picked up Gemkit and layed her next to Batkit "I need to get you two to Rippledrop" She picked up Batkit and moved him a few tail lengths then did the same to Gemkit, it'll take a while, but she can't risk something taking them while she is taking the first kit.

Gemkit slowly woke up to the sound of speaking, the voice... It sounded familiar... Yet she couldn't open her eyes.
"So to stop wounds from bleeding you use cobwebs? Why?" asked the kit
No matter how much she tried to remember who's voice it was, it just wouldn't come. Yet she knew the other voice... It was Rippledrop! They must be in the Medicine Cat's den.
"The cobwebs are able to absorb the blood, but in order to make the wound stop bleeding you also need to add pressure to the wound" said Rippledrop, "Then add the poultice from the leaves of Marigold to keep it from getting infected"
"Oh! That sorta makes sense" said the kit
Finally, Gemkit opened her eyes, the kit! It was Hazelkit! How could she have forgotten about her own sister?
Gemkit tried to sit up, but when she did everything began to get blurry.
"Gemkit you're awake!" Hazelkit ran to her side
"Careful!Gemkit try not to get up so abruptly" Rippledrop faced her.
"Is Batkit alright?" said Gemkit, but it came out more like a whisper.
"Oh he's fine, just a few minor cuts" Hazelkit said happily "I'm just glad you two are okay"
" You'll have to stay here for the day, so I can keep an eye on Batkit's cuts and your aches"
"But... What happened? Why does everything hurt? " She looked at Batkit who was still sleeping.
"Your mother found you against a tree and Batkit on the ground," said Rippledrop "You might have hit your head on the tree causing you to get knocked out"
"Well... How about Nightfang? Has he come to check on us? " She asked
"Yes he also brought Dawnbreeze with him, He seemed pretty upset." Rippledrop didn't seem very suspicious on why he came with Dawnbreeze instead of Silverblosson.
"Oh.. " Gemkit frowned
"Hey it's alright, Silverblossom came in and let me stay with you! Maybe we can talk?"
"sure..." Gemkit didn't know why, but she felt like she was talking to a stranger, she felt uncomfortable talking to Hazelkit. Has she not spent enough time with her? They rarely talked to each other.
"Hey, you don't seem too happy about that... I could go if you want" Hazelkit
kept her smile, but she seemed uncertain.
"No, it's fine, you can stay" Gemkit insisted
"Really? ... Thank you. " Hazelkit's cheerful smile was now gone... It was replaced by minor frown "I'll be with Rippledrop if you need me"
Gemkit wanted to tell her to stay, but it was as if she couldn't speak. It only made Gemkit feel even more guilt.

*Time skip*
Gemkit was excited to become and apprentice, all she could think of is Batkit and Her would be able to train together. She couldn't feel the same about Hazelkit, she said she was going to become a medicine cat when she grew up.
"Now, Gemkit, Batkit, and Hazelkit you need to behave on the highrock. I don't want you to be playing on there only to get hurt. " Silverblosson explained everything about how important it was to be on the highrock.
"Let all the cats old enough to catch their own prey meet by the tall rock!" her voice boomed through the whole camp "Well... I guess you could go like that.." Silverblossom stared at the tuft of fur on Gemkit's head that was sticking up, she wasn't pleased with her grooming skills.
"Come on guys!" shouted Gemkit as she raced out of the nursery.
"Gemkit! Slow down!" shouted her mother, quickly sprinting after her followed by Hazelkit and Batkit. Silverblossom caught up to Gemkit and picked her up by the scruff
"Hey! Let go!" she squirmed
"What is wrong with you Gemkit?You can't just run off, you'll end up getting someone mad and you'll get yourself embarrassed" she placed Gemkit back down,but Silverblossom was right
"I.... I guess... I'm sorry " Gemkit lowered her ears in embarrassment as she noticed the clan Cats staring at her.
"It's fine. As long as you keep from having these.... Outbursts of excitement" she looked around and noticed everyone staring at them "You can carry on, Waspstar!" she dipped her head.
"Thank you, Silverblossom" said Waspstar "Now, today we will be having three new Apprentices!"
Gemkit sat as still as she could until they called them up "Alright, Hazelkit, Gemkit, and Batkit, please come up" Gemkit immediately got up and ran half way towards the tall rock before realizing she had to walk. By the time Hazelkit and Batpaw reached the tall rock Gemkit was already there.
"Rippledrop has been needing an apprentice so, Hazelkit? Are you sure you want to become a medicine cat?" Hazelkit simply nodded "Will you uphold the medicine cat code?"
Hazelkit decided to speak for this one "I do."
"From now on you will be known as Hazelpaw! Rippledrop I'm sure you will be able to help Hazelpaw learn what she needs to become a great Medicine cat"
Rippledrop hurried up to the Tall rock "It'll be great having someone else in the Medicine cats den" he smiled as he touched noses with Hazelpaw and escorted her down.
"Gemkit from now on you will be known as Gempaw! Icewing I hope you will be able to pass down your fighting skills you have learned onto Gempaw!"
Icewing made her way up to touch noses with Gempaw "You'll be learning a lot, " Icewing whispered, "Soon you'll be a great warrior!" Icewing made her way down from the Tallrock with Gempaw short behind
"Yea..." she muttered to herself.
"Batkit from this day on you will be known as Batpaw! Shadowheart this will be you first apprentice, so just be wary on how fast you teach him" Shadowheart rolled her eyes as she walked up the tall rock. Shadowheart touched noses with Batpaw and said "We're doing things my way at my pace" she gave a light hiss as she turned around to get off of the Highrock
"But Waspstar sai-" Shadowheart turned her head back and gave a hateful glare at him
"ok" he said quieter as he obediently followed after Shadowheart.
"Hazelpaw! Gempaw! Batpaw!" they cheered.
"That will be all for today " Waspstar dismissed them as she too walked down the Tallrock and headed off to her den
"So, Gempaw are you ready to take on the apprentice duties," Icewing said cheerfully
"Yea! Wait what do apprentices have to do other than train?" She asked
"Well they have to remove ticks from the elders, you know how grumpy they get," Icewing continued smiling "Then they change the dens moss.."
Gempaw stopped her "Okay, So, did you have any other Apprentices?" She asked, "Oh yes, I trained Gooseweb-"
Gempaw stared at her "I don't know who that is "
"He... he died shortly after becoming a warrior"
"Oh... I won't ask why" she gave a weak smile

"Come on" Shadowheart lead Batpaw out into the forest
"Where are we going?"he asked
"We're going out to train" she didn't even bother turning around
"But I just became an apprentice!" he protested
"And that's why you need to start training immediately!"

"So, I'll be Sapphire clans Medicine cat one day?" Hazelpaw looked up at Rippledrop
"Yes, it's a very important job and you need to be prepared for anything " he was sorting out the herbs
"Really? Some of the apprentices said that being a medicine cat is boring..."
Suddenly Hazelpaw wasn't so sure about becoming a medicine cat.
"Don't worry, at the next half moon well be going to the moon stone, so you can speak to star clan" Rippledrop assured "It'll be a great adventure"

Batpaw began acting weirder every day that passed. He never spoke to anyone, but Shadowheart. Soon he was ahead of all the apprentices, but no one knew why.
Batpaw's POV
I check every den to see if anyone is awake. I am supposedly 'guarding the camp' but I wouldn't waste my time. I slowly, and quietly pass by the apprentices den, but freeze as I hear a faint voice "B-batpaw what are you doing up so late" I quietly hiss under my breath as I recognize Gempaw's annoying voice "I'm guarding the camp!" I whisper trying not to wake anyone up "Can I join you?" she asks as she slowly stands up, and yawns "No!" I hiss, Gempaw stared at me, as if I had just done something wrong "I mean, no I want to do it myself" she looked Slightly confused
"Okay suit yourself" she shrugged before laying back down.
I slowly continue to head over to the nursery. As I arrive, I check inside to see if everyone is sleeping good, they're all sleeping.
I pick up one of Beeflower's kits, but as I reached the camp's entrance, the kit, which it turned out to be Thunderkit started to wake up "M... M... Mom? Where are we going?" he stuttered.
I quickly put him down "who are you!?" the kit shivered in fear "It's just me, you know Batpaw?" the kit continued to shiver "A-are you from Pearl clan?" I laugh at the kit "Those fools! They are far too weak! I am from Sapphire clan" I whispered, again trying not to wake anyone "But I've never seen you before" I give him a sour look "How have you've never seen me before!? I've seen you always playing with your sister, Apprentices,Warriors, even the elders!" I talked normally this time, though I seemed to have scared him more "But you've never played with me. Can I go back with mom, please?" I see his eye cloud up in sadness, and fear.
"No. Especially since you don't even know me. I just want to spend time with you" I said softer "But you were yelling at me for not seeing you a few seconds ago" I growl in frustration then smile "Come on! We could go explore the territory..." this seemed to have pleased him a bit "But this late? Can't we wait till morning?" he asks
"But if we wait your mother won't let you go" I say, trying to sound more convincing "You're right! She doesn't let me out of camp!" the little kit slowly walked through the thicket of bushes, I quickly picked him up by the scruff "I thought we were going to explore!" he squirmed.
I put him down on the other side of the thicket "We will, you just need to follow me " I walked ahead of him "But you're going to fast" I rolled my eyes and slowed down to let the kit catch up before I continued to walk.
"So where are we going?" asked Thunderkit "To see the river" I said simply "But isn't that dangerous?" I just can't stand this kit and his questions "Will you please just be quite and walk!" I raised my voice "I.. I just..." I gave him a furious look "Okay" the kit lowered his head and stared at the ground.
It was only a couple of minutes of silence, though "We're here" I turned to look at the kit "You wanna look at the river?" the kit slowly raised his head "But what if I fall?" he asked "I'll hold you" the kit looked at me with uncertainty "Don't worry I won't let go" I reassured him "ok" I picked him up by the scruff and carried him over to the river "Wow! It looks beautiful from up here!" Thunderkit looked down.
I suddenly let go of Thunderkit making him fall into the water.
"Batpaw help me!" he squealed, I raised my paw "Batpaw-" I held him down in the water.
I could see Thunderkit struggling in the water trying reach the surface. I could see him staring at me with his eyes filled with horror as I mercilessly heald him, He slowly closed his eyes, and went limp.
I lifted my paw out of the water, and walked back to camp.
It was as simple as that, I killed a kit, and just walked back to camp ...... Because they told me to.

At dawn Gempaw was woken up by yelling "Thunderkit! Thunderkit is missing!" It was Beeflower "Waspstar Thunderkit us gone!" She yelled as she walked into her den "Clam down Beeflower I will send patrols out to look for him" Beeflower stared at him for a minute "What do you mean clam down!?My kit is missing!"she left the leaders den.Gempaw stood up and walked out if the den " Hey Gempaw you smell like fox what have you been doing ?" "asked Crowpaw "Oh I accidentally fell into an abandoned Fox den" She got nervous especially when Crowpaw walked closer to her.Gempaw could also see Batpaw staring at her "Um got to go see Hazelpaw but see you later Crowpaw" Crowpaw gave a small smile -I love you- he thought "He loves me?" She murmured then walked into the medicine cats den "Hey Hazwlpaw"Hazwlpaw looked up "Oh hi Gempaw" she looked sad "What's wrong?" Asked Gempaw "No its nothing" -Its just that I love Blazepaw but I'm a medicine cat-she added in her head "You like Blazepaw" Gempaw quickly regretted asking "How did you know?"Gempaw sighed "It was a guess"Hazelpaw nodded " Its ok Gempaw you want to go hunting while I look for herbs"she slowly stood up "Um sure"

It was the night of the Gathering Waspstar had decided to let Gempaw,Crowpaw, Rockpaw,Hazelpaw ,and Batpaw go along with Nightfang, Icewing,Shadowheart,Birdstep ,and Waterwind.Waspstar lead the way through the stream that separated the borders from Ruby clan then they had to go around the small pond that was near the Gathering site.
Gempaw looked up at the leaders if she could remember correctly it was Wolfstar leader of pearl clan, Whitestar leader of Emerald clan and Echostar from Ruby clan.
"Let the gathering begin"Shouted Echostar.
Gempaws POV
I ignored all the leaders talking as I looked for other clan apprentices ."There is one" I quickly headed twoards a brown tabby tom "Hi" I mewed ,the apprentice looked at me "oh...Hi" he continued to stare at me "What clan are you from"he stared at me then replied "I'm from love- I mean Emerald clan" I tilted my head a little "I'm Gempaw what's your name?" It looked like he was in some trance "Um..Oh I'm Darkpaw" I sat down then another apprentice came over."Hi I'm lightpa-"Darkpaw covered light paws mouth with his paw then whispered something to him.Lightpaw simply nodded and walked away "So where were we?" He asked "oh look the Gathering is over" I mewed as I saw the leaders stepping off of the big stone "...ok" he sounded a bit sad.Gempaw quickly whent behind her mentor Icewing and followed everyone back to camp.
Darkpaws POV
"What clan are you from" She mewed -She is the most beautiful She-Cat I have ever seen "I-im from love- i mean Emerald clan"-I blew it!-" I'm Gempaw what's your name?"he hesitated "I'm Darkpaw" Then came Lightpaw -He is going to ruin it!- "Hi I'm lightpa-" I covered his mouth with my paw "Can you leave us two alone you are going to ruin my chance to be with her" I whispered he nodded and walked away "So where were we?" I purred "Oh look the gatherings over" I felt sadness stab me "...Ok" I slowly stood up and followed my clan back to camp.

Gemstar was very exited she had been chosen to go on a patrol for the first time.The deputy Squirrelpelt was leading the patrol and was taking Icewing, Shadowheart and her apprentice Batpaw,and Nightbreeze."Icewing can we leave now?"she was very impatient "You have to ask the deputy Squirrelpelt" Gemstar sighed then padded over to Squirrelpelt "Um....Squirrelpelt can we go now!" She tried to sound serious but she couldn't help being jumpy "Well it seems everyone is here so yea let's go"he cleared his throat " Ok everyone we are leaving now"they quickly walked through the entrance which was a tunnel with brambles at the end so other cats couldn't find the entrance "Be carfull Gempaw the brambles are sharp" Gempaw nodded seriously "Will we be able to go see the boxer between our clan and ruby clan!" She asked "Yes we will along with pearl clans." Gempaw slowed down a bit so she could get close enough to Batpaw so she could see what Batpaw and Shadowheart were talking about but all she could hear was "You could do rosekit next" before Icewing called her over."Gempaw you see over there"Icewing pointed at a small shallow river "The other side is Ruby clan Territory" Gempaw looked at Ruby clans territory "It looks a bit like ours but with pine trees"she mewed.

"They have some oak trees but its mostly pine" Replied Squirrelpelt "How do they climb the pine trees?" Asked Gempaw "They don't climb trees they think climbing is for cats too scared to get hurt" said Icewing "What!" Gempaw looked over to Ruby clans territory "But climbing can save them from dogs or foxes!" The patrol reached the riverbank "We should start marking the boarder" said Nightbreeze.
"Well Gempaw Ruby clan cats think they can face them head on" continued Icewing "And Pearl clan is more down river" added Squirrelpelt -Shadowheart and Batpaw are being too quiet thought Gempaw.
"wait what about Emerald clan?" Gempaw lookeddat her mentor "Emerald clan is on the other side of both Pearl clan and Ruby clan territories" Gempaw thought about it for a while "So they get to be closer to the moonstone?" Icewing nodded "And do they get more territory?" Squirrelpelt gave out an annoyed sigh "No Gempaw we each get an equal amount of Territory so we won't have to fight" The began walking back to camp "Wait don't we have to do all the borders?" Asked Batpaw -He is finally speaking -she thought "No Waspstar sent out other patrols" said Nightbreeze "oh.." Batpaw looked at his mentor.Shadowheart stared at him for a bit then continued to walk back to the camp.

A while has past since Thunderkit died and since this was Bee flower's first litter of kits she had a nervous breakdown when they found some of Thunderkit's hazel fur stuck on a branch near the river Rippledrop gave her some chamomile so she could calm down and she did but two days later she had another break down she kept asking "Is the killer going to get my other kits too? What if he or she kills all my kits!?"
Gempaw felt sorry for Beeflower she wanted to go in and tell her what she saw the night Thunderkit was killed but Rippledrop had advised everyone to not go into the nursery and disturb her. Cherrytail tried to calm her but Beeflower wouldn't listen while her mother Silverblosson had moved back to the Warriors den she insisted to go in and talk to her. Gempaw crept towards the nursery it was already dark and everyone was sleeping except for the Queens she pressed her muzzle on the wall of the den to try to hear what they were saying "Please Beeflower it okay Thunderkit is in star clan" she heard her mother's gentle voice "Then if he is in star clan I will go to star clan too" said Beeflower stubbornly “But what about Rosekit and Gold kit? If you go to star clan they wouldn't have a mother to feed them" added Cherrytail "You could feed them your kits are only 5 moons old their about to become apprentices" Beeflower sighed "I have to go with Thunderkit" she growled and pushed Silverblosson out of the way leaving her kits still hungry. Silverblosson ran out of the den she quickly noticed Gempaw "Gempaw what were you doing listening to our conversation?" She asked sounding a bit agitated while Gempaw shifted her paws nervously "Anywas can you go tell Waspstar about this so he can alert the clan?" before Gempaw could reply she ran after Beeflower Gempaw quickly got up and ran towards Waspstar's den. "Waspstar wake up!" she shouted "Gempaw.." he yawned "I have to sleep I don't have time for games" he stared at her crossed "No I don't want to play! Beeflower just ran off to go find a way to join Star clan and Silverblosson is chasing after her!" Waspstar's half open eyes widened "I have to go wake the others Gempaw when they wake up show the Warriors where they headed off too I'm sure they will be able to find her scent" Waspstar ran towards the Warriors den after a few minutes Nightfang walked up to her along with Icewing, Waterwind, Dawnbreeze , Birdseed,Shadowheart, and Squirrelpelt. "where did feel head off to?" asked Squirrelpelt "They went out through the camp entrance" She walked up to Nightfang "Can I go to?" She asked "I'm sorry Gemstar but it could get dangerous" Gempaw cocked her head "How?" Nightfang chuckled "Have you ever heard the story about the angry Fox?" Gempaw looked confused "Yes but what does that have to do with this?" he nuzzled her "That how dangerous Queens can get" He quickly followed the others through the camp entrance. Gempaw couldn't help but follow soon after following their scent she found the group "Gempaw what are you doing here?" Nightfang looked at Gempaw he seemed a bit annoyed "I had to follow you what if she hurts mom?"

"Fine you can come" he sighed "Your bringing your.... Kit?" said Shadowheart in a disgusted tone "Hey!I am already an apprentice, I can help!" her fur bristled in annoyance "Your not supposed to help! Warriors only!" Retorted Shadowheart "My mom went after her, she could get hurt or worst, she could die!You're heartless " she snapped "Wha- What did you say!?" She unshethed her claws "Say it again! I dare you"
"Your heartless! There I said it, you care about nobody else but your self!" Shadowheart growled, and leaped trying to attack Gem paw from.
Gempaw dodged Shadowheart's attack, but she was too slow to notice that Shadowheart was charging towards her. Without warning Shadowheart ramming into her side, sending Gempaw into the nearest tree.
"Shadowheart stop this now!" ordered Icewing "Your not Deputy Or Leader, so who are you to order me around" she hissed "But I Am, so stop now!" Said Squirrelpelt moving Icewing out of the way "You hurt an innocent apprentice. I will be reporting this to Waspstar" Shadowheart grunted, and murmured something no one could hear.
Gempaw slowly opened her eyes. Everything was blurry "Shadowheart..." she blinked until she could see clearly "Come on we need to hurry, and go save Beeflower" said Squirrelpelt."Gempaw we need to hurry" she could see Nightfang next to her "Did you just not see me get flung into a tree?" She slowly got up "I know, but Beeflower is still in danger" he replied."Okay let's go" both Gempaw and Nightfang ran to catch up to the group
"the scent leads to the river!"gasped Birdseed he looked at dawnbreeze "It does,but why would she want to go to the river?" Gempaw walked faster until she was ahead of the group. "She probably wants to drown...? I remember when we were Apprentices she almost drowned there " he said "Then we have to hurry!"said Gempaw as she began to run. The Warriors looked at each other, Waterwind shrugged while Squirrelpelt nodded, and followed Gempaw soon everyone was running towards the river.

Note: apparently I forgot that I posted the fanfiction here sooo I haven't been updating lately (I update it on Wattpad but don't worry it's only a chapter ahead). Also, I will be editing the Prologue and the first few chapters.
Silverblosson stood a safe distance from Beeflower "You don't have to do this, Beeflower" she felt sympathy for the queens loss, but she couldn't let Beeflower just try and kill herself for something that wasn't her fault or something she couldn't prevent "But my kit! My sweet little kit! He supposed to grow up and become a warrior!" she wailed "It was my fault he died! I was supposed to be protecting him!" Silverblosson shook her head "No no, Beeflower, It wasn't your fault! Plus your not paying attention to Rosekit,and Gold kit they're your kits too." Beeflower flinched as Silverblosson mentioned her kits "No. Rosekit and Goldkit aren't dead. They can stay alive, but I'm not staying here without Thunderkit!"
Beeflower stared at the rivers rushing water "I just can't stay here" She jumped into the water.
Beeflower's POV (point of view)
I leaped into the water, I didn't care anymore. I just can't stand being without Thunderkit.
I suddenly felt a shape pain in my tail. Something was preventing me from going deeper.
I turn to see Silverblosson holding my tail, she is pulling me out "Let go!" I say but the water rushes into my mouth. I take a huge gasp of air as she pulls me out, but it turns out she was getting help by other cats "I'm not letting you keep me away from my son!" I hissed, I just couldn't let then keep him away from me! I WILL be with him! Silverblosson whispered something to the other cats, but as my vision clears I can tell it a Sapphire clan patrol. Silverblosson turns back to me "Beeflower, calm down... you don't have to do this... Please let's just go back to camp, and you can take care of Rosekit and Goldkit so they won't feel abandoned by their own mother" I won't let them take me back "Calm down!? Calm down!? My kit died! I can just 'calm down'!" I furiously growled, how can they just ask me to leave! I turned around to try again, only to be interrupted by Silverblosson.
"Please don't do it! " she pleaded, I furiously unshethed my claws,and lash out my paws accidentally wounding Silverblosson on her right shoulder "I.... I-" I stammer. Suddenly Gempaw stomps out of the crowed "No one,and I mean no one hurts my mother!" she hissed as she unshethed her claws, honestly her claws were strangely clear, but I ignored it. "Gempaw don't-" before Silverblosson finished her sentence Gempaw leaped towards me, I knew she was heading for my neck but I didn't want to hurt anyone, honest. I raise both of my forepaws to try to push her away as gently as possible, but as she lands I stumble on something, and fall back into the rushing river. I managed to push Gempaw upwards towards the surface of the water, but doing so made me go deeper.
As I'm trying to hold my breath I try to cry out 'I'm sorry' but the water rushes into my mouth, the last thing I saw was something dive into the water, before blacking out.

Beeflower's POV (again :3)
I woke up in a forest, it was beautiful, and so alive! "Am I dead?" She mumbled "Mom, you're not dead..." I heard Thunderkit's voice from behind, I could feel a smile grow on my face "Thunderkit! I-I missed you" I turned around, and saw my beloved kit.
I tries to get close to him, but he backed away "W-whats wrong?" my smile began to fade away "You... You hurt Silverblossom, and you pay no attention to my sister, Rosekit or my brother Goldkit..." his eyes clouded in sadness "I didn't mean to hurt Silverblossom.... Aren't you happy to see you mother?" my voice cracked somewhere between that sentence "It's not that..... Is this my fault?" he looked up at me "No, no this wasn't your fault..." I took a took a step closer, but Thunderkit backed away "But ever since I died you have been acting like this! Poor Rosekit and Goldkit feel abandoned by their own mother!" he Retorted.
I stepped back in shock "But I just wanted to be with you... I didn't think Rosekit or Goldkit would mind! And how should you know how they're feeling!" I hissed back.
"I've been watching over them! I feel... I just feel like you're not my mother! My mother wouldn't act like this!" I felt something stab my heart "W-what..?" I stared at him in disbelief "You don't mean that, do you?" I asked, sadly he only shook his head in dissapointment "I'm sorry it had to end like this ..." Thunderkit began to fade away.

Beeflower coughed herself awake "She's waking up!" Waterwind signaled the others to come over "Beeflower are you okay?" Asked Squirrelpelt "I don't she's ready to talk yet" added Birdseed "Maybe she doesn't want to talk." said Shadowheart abruptly.
"Thunderkit..... No" Beeflower suddenly sat up "What happened?" asked Silverblossom, who was laying down with Cobwebs on her shoulder. Beeflower's eyes saddened "Thunderkit said I wasn't his mother..." she said flatly. "What do you mean? We all saw you give birth to him" Dawnbreez looked at her completely dumbfounded "No, not like that, he said his real mother wouldn't act like I did..... He even blamed himself for what I did..." she slowly stood up "Don't move! You're not ready to walk yet" warned Birdseed "I have to go back to camp" she slowly began to walk toward camp, completely ignoring the pain she felt, emotionally and physically as she strained her body.
"Beeflower, don't! You'll get hurt if you try too hard!" said Silverblossom "I have to tell Rosekit and Goldkit I'm sorry."

"Where is mom?" asked the Golden tom "I... I don't know,she never wanted us anywas" Rosekit stared at Cherrytail and her kits "I wish we had a mom who cared" admitted Goldkit.
Cherrytail opened her eyes as she heard the kits conversation "Cherrytail... Will you be our mom?" asked Rosekit "And Will our real mom come back?" added Goldkit "I'm not sure, Goldkit..... I don't think she may ever come back" she said harshly "But if she doesn't I will be your mother"
The kits stared at her in disbelief "Why won't she come back?" they both asked "She wanted to join star clan'
" Why would she do that?"
"She misses Thunderkit" the kits looked at each other "She cares more about Thunderkit than us, Goldkit" she whispered flatly "No! She wouldn't do that!" he protested "What If she comes back" he added, with a hint of hope in his voice "If she does she will leave us alone in the forest!" meowed Rosekit

sorry I took so long to write this chapter.
Also, for those who read the edited version of the Prologue I re-edited it.
Gempaw sat next to her mother and eying Beeflower. She wasn't sure whether or not to trust her. She did risk her life to save her when they fell into the water, but she hurt her mother which made chosing difficult.
"Beeflower you don't know what you're doing!" shouted Dawnbreeze right into Beeflower's face "Shut up, Dawnbreeze" said Silverblossom as she rolled her eyes.
Dawnbreeze furiously turned to Silverblossom "I heard that!" she hissed "I know you did" Silverblossom said bluntly "Then? What's the point of saying it mousebrain" replied Dawnbreeze rudely. Silverblossom stayed quiet with the same annoyed look "Oh I know! You're jealous that Nightfang likes me better!" Silverblossom growled, but stayed quiet. "Heh Silverblossom is too scared to reply!" she snorted while everyone turned to look to Nightfang who had his ears back in embarrassment "Dawnbreeze you can stop now...." he whispered "Just so know, Nightfang would rather have me as a mate."
"I knew it!" Silverblossom quickly stood up "Gempaw go and find Beeflower. Help her get back to camp safely." she whispered "Nightfang you have been spending time with Dawnbreeze!" she hissed "Why!?" she asked Nightfang "Because, he never loved you" It was Dawnbreeze again...

Gempaw hated to leave her mother alone with.... Dawnbreeze, but she had to fine Beeflower. She couldn't have gotten far..."Beeflower?" she half shouted "I know she tried to go back to camp, but-" she caught Beeflower's faint scent "She was here" suddenly she remembered that Beeflower was still wet. "I could try and find the water that dripped out of her fur!" Gempaw lifted her chin up into the air to try and get a better scent. Gempaw was no expert in tracking, but she recognized the queens damp scent she had when she left the group.
Gempaw noticed some other scent near Beeflower's, but she didn't recognize it "I hope-" she heard some leaves rustling and the sound of the startled birds flying away. She just shook her head "I think I got water in my head" she slowly made her way through the thicket of brambles, Gempaw felt something tugging her pelt "Wha..." she let out an annoyed sigh as she noticed the brambles got caught in her fur "How am I supposed to get myself out of this?" the more she struggled the more tangled up she got "I can't just wait here until someone finds me" Gempaw took in a deep breath "Now!" she clenched
her teeth as she charged out of the brambles.
Gempaw turned back to she bits of her fur still stuck on the brambles "I should have been smarter than that!" she hissed "No worries, I can just find Beeflower and go back to camp" she continued to follow the queens scent occasionally getting distracted by other sounds and scents.
After what seemed like forever Gempaw started to lose fate in finding Beeflower "Beeflower!where are you!?" she shouted "I'm starting to think she's lost..." Gempaw sighed in defeat "I failed" thoughts ran through her mind. 'What if I never find Beeflower? I'll get blamed for not being able to rescue her, then they'll punish me... Then... Then no one will like me anymore, and Icewing wont want to be my mentor anymore. I'll be the first apprentice to never become a warrior.'

"Nightfang, is this true?" Squirrelpelt turned to Nightfang "I.. Uh..I" he folded his ears back "I'll be telling Waspstar about this too" he said "Don't bother" Squirrelpelt turned to face Silverblossom. "Silverblossom? Are you sure?" Silverblossom nodded "Nightfang is no longer my mate" everyone except for Dawnbreeze and Shadowheart gasped "But Silverblossom.
.." Nightfang stepped up "I'm sorry Nightfang, but I've made up my mind!" she raised her voice "Don't worry Nightfang you still have me" Dawnbreeze sat next to Nightfang.
Nightfang moved away "Not now!" he hissed at Dawnbreeze "Silverblossom are you sure you don't want me to tell Waspstar?" Squirrelpelt asked once more "Yes I'm sure, he doesn't deserve the attention" she gave Dawnbreeze a hateful look.
Nightfang looked like he had mixed feelings about this, hate, sadness, regret, and anger. "Please Silverblossom!" he wailed like a kit "I'm sorry!" his mood quickly changed as he shot a glance at Dawnbreeze "You did this!" he growled "You just couldn't keep your muzzle shut couldn't you?" Dawnbreeze stepped back in shock "I'm done! I'm done with putting up with your bragging and rudeness! Sure you've got the looks, but your attitude is disgusting!" Nightfang's words wiped Dawnbreeze's smile away "I... I..." she stuttered "Don't even try to deny it! You know very well how you act, because you chose to act like it!" Everyone stared at the two cats especially Silverblossom who had a small smile as Nightfang reveled to Dawnbreeze how he really felt "Fine! I never liked you anywas!" Dawnbreeze weakly retorted "I'm.... Im leaving" Dawnbreeze's eyes watered up before running off back to camp.
The sun slowly began to rise enlightening the forest."Okay let's head back to camp,and if Beeflower isn't there we will send a bigger search patrol" ordered Squirrelpelt. Waterwind followed behind Squirrelpelt and Shadowheart who were already on their way.
Nightfang faced Silverblossom once more "Can we be mates again?" he asked gently "I'm sorry Nightfang, but you have to be punished for what you've done" Silverblossom's cold voice stabbed Nightfang "I can't be your mate anymore" she slowly began walked after the small patrol leaving poor heartbroken Nightfang behind.
