It's been 27,378 years since GLaDOS was destroyed by Chell. The facility is overgrown by potatoes and close before getting destroyed. You have to escape, before the facility falls apart and takes you with it. Doug Rattmann managed to keep Chell's and your Relaxation Chamber alive.
