Swompy's Shinies
Forum-Index → Diaries → Swompy's ShiniesI named it Ectoplasma as a portmanteau on the words ectoplasm and plasma (even though ectoplasm is already a combination of ecto and plasma).

Nothing too special about it (apart from being shiny of course); it has submission, so I feel more justified for not using False Swipe during shiny catching.
I named him Beatley because he's a beetle and his blue colour reminded me of Wheatley from Portal 2.

I named him SigmundFreud after Sigmund Freud, the father of psychoanalysis.

It literally made my day. Even though it's only the start of the day. I named her Mirage because it was such an elusive shiny.

Lillipup was the one I wanted a shiny of the least (the other Pokemon were Minccino and Ditto), so of course I got shiny Lillipup. On the bright side though, she's lax which isn't a bad nature and has run away (which becomes scrappy). She also has max IVs in Attack and Defense.
I don't know what to name her, so I just went with Doge-Mesiter.

So now I have a shiny Pokemon for every day of the week.
I named him Saiyan Dawg because I don't know.

It's a Minun, so, not really any good battling capabilities (although Helping Hand from a Plusle makes it do a crazy amount of damage).
I so super original that I named him - (That's a minus sign if you couldn't see it).

It has the ability Rock Head and a defense IV. The only bad thing about it, is that it has a -Atk nature. It might not be too bad though. My in-game Aggron had a -Def nature but it was still amazing.
I named it T-X (short for Tyrannosaurus-X). And now there is only one more shiny I need. And my team of all-stars will be complete...

So, I start my horde-hunting in Mew Mauville today as well; first horde, right in the middle, is a shiny Magnemite. And this was right after the shiny Aron horde, so it's almost like back-to-back shinies.
I named it Magneto.

He has IVs in Defense and Speed. I didn't even know horde pokemon could have 2 IVs.
I named him Crevice.

Same day, just before I went to bed, I found a shiny Geodude in a horde in Terminus Cave. Luckily, I had a Chimecho with skill swap to give the shiny Levitate. Otherwise, the other Geodudes would've killed him with magnitude.
I named him Nugget

On the 21st September, I found a shiny Magikarp! And it's staying that way! I don't care about red Gyarados, golden Magikarp looks amazing! This was my first shiny obtained from chain fishing and I got it from Route 104.
What made this even more special is that I accidentally pressed the A button when I didn't see or hear the exclamation point. Luckily, it popped up the exact same time I pressed A. I'm thinking, "Imagine if this turns out to be shiny". Lo and behold.
I named this God of the Ocean, King Karp because that's exactly what it is.

I caught one at Ever Grande City in a chain lower than at least 10. I caught her in a heal ball because it's fitting. For some reason all the shinies I've gotten since Magnemite have had neutral natures. I guess that's good since it doesn't do anything negative, but it makes it sort of boring.
I named her Aurumance because it's wordplay on Aurum (Latin for gold) and Romance.

I named him Raign has a sort of wordplay on rain and reign (because SeaKING).

After 2 more shiny Goldeens, I was able to find a shiny Carvanha! Carvanha has one my most favourite shinies. What makes it even better is that it had Adamant natute and an Attack IV!
I named her Gameshark.

I named him Leigh after some really generous person I traded with on Pokemon Y. He not only gave me PokeBank Pokemon and legendaries for free, but also a shiny Octillery.

On the same day, in Cyllage City, I fished up a shiny Horsea. She has Sniper and was already holding a dragon scale. She also has max S.Atk IVs.
I named her Maelstrom because Kingdra causes whirlpools when it yawns.

I named her Scarfy.

I was also testing out the synchronize ability to get Naught nature on it (because I don't have an adamant Pokemon with synchronize) and it worked! It has Rock Head which means it won't be able to get Moxie, but I don't think it matters too much.
I named him Green Baron.

It's impish which is pretty good but it has terrible attack IVs. It also Rivalry which is also bad.
I named him Beast because well, if I get a shiny Nidoran♀, I'd name her Beauty.

It was so stressful, I'm not doing that again for a loooong time.
It has Anticipation and a rash nature. I was hoping for Dry Skin but oh well.
I named her Broake as a slight portmanteau on broke and croak.

I was hoping for a shiny Shuppet but his is still great! I can still horde hunt inside Mt.Pyre for 100% encounter rate for Shuppet hordes.
I named her Yogar because Meditite does yoga and it sounds cool.

I named him Zeppelimp as a combination of the words zeppelin and blimp.

On the same day, in the evening, I found a shiny Dedenne in a fairy friend safari! It has Pickup and calm nature. It has max HP and S.Atk IVs which is pretty good.
I named her Mallomar.
