''Call me an old man one more time. I will shoot even more projectiles at you!'' - Makai yells and keeps going forward. He gives up on running, so he creates a platform made of ether, jumps on it and flies up with it.

The buzzing of metal had faded to a dim hum, so Cliantha and Deianira decided that it probably wasn't too much of a threat. "Unless a nuclear bomb shoots out of the ground," Cliantha offered dryly.
Dei shook her head, smiling at her friend as she began to rummage through her knapsack. The first seeds which had been planted were already at least seven feet high, and bursting with fruit. It hardly took an ounce of energy for the girls to lazily flick their wrists, plucking them right off to fall readily onto the blanket they had spread on the ground. To balance out the picked fruit, Dei retrieved some smoked venison left from their last hunt in her knapsack, and with their jugs of nectar, their meal was ready.
"This is a really interesting dream world," Clia remarked before biting into a juicy apple.
"I must say I agree. It certainly feels real," Dei agreed, absentmindedly taking a sip of nectar.
Clia's brow furrowed as she put down her half-eaten apple. "I'm worried about those life forms, to be completely honest with you."
Not honest enough to tell you who my real father is," Clia added mentally with an inward grimace.
Dei shot her a dazzling smile that had captured the hearts of so many men. "You are a worrywart. I'm fairly certain those shield spells will keep them out."
Cliantha nearly choked on a bite of venison. "You used that magic? In here?"
Dei waved her hand dismissively. "That magic seems to be the only thing not affected by the difference of the dimensions. It will keep out anyone, and at least give them trouble."
Clia sighed reluctantly, taking a sip of nectar. "Oh, alright. But do remember what she said. That magic messes with the very matter of every world."
"I am no fool, Clia," Dei quietly replied. "We saw those creatures in the forest. This is not a safe world."
Cliantha merely shrugged, letting her gaze wander to the rapidly growing forest. Their spells, she noted happily, had worked wondrously. The image of the barren land was already fading from their memories, the forest giving off a warm, friendly vibe.
