June 11th 1999, 4:30 am, Central City, Martha Evans was born to un-wanting parents Mary & Jeff Evans. Mary was a careless, selfish women who always bought things for her, and her only care in the world was her husband, Jeff Evans. Jeff was a hard worker in construction, bringing in more than enough money to support his wife and himself easily and still have plenty to take care of a baby, but that wasn't the case.
The only reason they kept Martha was for the baby bonus, a few hundred extra bucks a month was free money to them. Of course they had to keep the baby alive or they would lose the money so they would buy the cheapest diapers and other baby items they could get. Martha’s room was nothing more than an empty closet. As the years went by Mary and Jeff mostly ignored the young Martha neglecting her basic needs. The toddler was underweight and rarely brought into public so no one could complain. She was a prisoner in her own home almost never leaving the closet unless she had to use the bathroom. Which Mary taught her daughter only so she could stop buying over expensive diapers. At the young age of 4 Martha was forced to learn to fend for herself. Wandering to the kitchen late at night when the two adults were sleeping and eating whatever she could, Which would mostly be bread and vegetables that were easy to reach.
Roughly when she turned 5 the Particle Accelerator exploded, changing seemingly Central city for better and worse. A hero, the flash, appeared out of nowhere.
5 to 7
Little Martha was becoming more independent, still being a toddler is was hard to do things on her own without be brought back to her home. She frequently walked right out the front door and wandered around the street, being stopped by a pretzel cart sales man. He looked at the little brunette child and asked her where she lived giving her a free pretzel. He would then bring her home, Mary would answer the door acting all worried, but when that door closed on the poor kind mans face, Martha would be shoved back in the closet and her delicious free treat would be ripped from her and eaten by her horrid mother. This happened about once a week, and poor Martha didn't know how to say these words to the friendly man she would purposely look for. When she turned 6 it was easier to talk but she still didn't understand the life she lived was bad until she went to school. Her parents shipped her off to school as soon as they could to get her out of their hair. Here is where Martha learned that her life was trash compared to her classmates. They were all wearing fitted clothing, they were all bringing lunches everyday. Over her first year of school, as she grew up and could understand more things she wish she had a better life
7 to 9
Her life changed one evening after school. She was trying to buy a pretzel from her favorite street food vendor. There was an issue she didn't have enough change and she had no supper that night. A kind man walked up behind her and bought her the pretzel. That man was Barry Allen. He was very sweet and talked to her like she wasn't a child but was still nice enough to not talk like an adult. He was one to ask where she lived so he could bring the child home, but she told him she didn't want to go home and she explained why. He understood taking her to a bench close to her house and sat down talking with her. She did the best she could as a 7 year old to help him to understand. The next two years were school to escape her life at home, evenings talking out her feelings with Barry and then going home to her parents who didn't care about her. For once when she turned 8 she got a gift from Barry, it was a little doll of the flash. Something soft she could cuddle when she wasn't feel safe. But for her 9th birthday she was getting a gift she never expected.
9 to 11
On her 9th birthday Barry and Joe West came to the door of the Evan’s home. Mary was shocked and pulled alligator tears as Joe was telling her they were taking her child and bringing her to a safer place, since barry was witness to this neglectful household. Martha made a bag up quickly with a few pieces of cloths she had and the plush she was given, pushing past her mother in sentence. Mary grabbed her daughter begging and trying to show she loved her child. Martha knew the truth and pulled away from her mother walking over to the car getting in and waiting. Barry was not long after her, and then after consoling and pushing Mary off of him, Joe followed soon getting in the car. This would be the last time she would see her biological nightmares. Joe took Marty and Martha to his place where they were living already with Iris. There was a spare room that Joe gave to Martha letting her live with him as long as she needed. He was also such a great father figure he had a huge meal made that night for two reasons. To celebrate Martha’s birthday, and to give the child something to eat for once. A few nights later she was sneaking down stairs and she saw Barry speed out of the door. This is when she found out that Barry was the flash, Joe noticed her took her to the living room and explained to her what he was. 2008 was a weird year for her. She was getting use to Barry being the flash and worrying about him when ever he went out or she saw on the news. Throughout the year since she was pretty much was attached to his hip, She was invited to S.T.A.R Labs meeting his team. She enjoyed hanging around with Cisco Ramone more than Kaitlyn Snow, he was more nerdy than Kaitlyn was which made her time there enjoyable. Gizmos and gadgets that Cisco made always caught her eye and she did her best to help whenever she could officially making her first little gadget when she turned 10.
Around Halloween of that year she learned herself that she wasn't normal. Cisco had pulled a prank on her, making a huge pop up monster as she walked through the door. It scared her so badly she literally vanished from site. Barry caught her as she fell back but she was still invisible, He was holding nothing, at least what it looked like. The whole team came running over and helped her calm down. She returned to view then Harrison wells and the other meta’s talked to her about what happened to her when the particle accelerator exploded. A few tests were done on her. More than she expected, and Mr, Wells tried to push her to learn her powers which never worked as he expected.
11 to 15
2010 The STAR team officially made her part of the team, With near zero control over her powers she stayed in the lab, mostly helping with computer stuff. She had a small job and they did pay her for it while she was at the lab. She still went to school because Joe wouldn’t let her do any heroine without her school education. He was strict but he wanted her to be happy, She did all her school work before she started doing any work with her friends. School was an issue she was always called names because of how short she was and how skinny she was. She was teased a lot and this wouldn’t stop here, even though Joe came in and defended her on more than one occasion. Being the foster child of a central city cop scared none of the other children, the bigger badder children. It only ever slowed when the Flash came in for a assembly and telling all the students that all bullies will be treated like bad guys out on the streets. She was still bullied after that but not nearly as strongly.
During 2011 she learned she was now only able to turned invisible but she could also form force fields. Again she was tested extremely and she didn't know how to control them. Even with training at least once a week by Wells.
Between 11 and 12 nothing besides school, and her regular hero work happened. But When she turned 13 she came in to start labs from a distress call, was shocked by Barry, Kaitlyn, Cisco, Joe, iris and some new people jumped out and gave her a surprise party. This was the day she met Oliver queen and his team Felicity, Roy, and Diggle. This birthday was the best she has had so far. Later at night as the party came to an end. Martha decided that she no longer wanted to be called Martha and wanted to be called Marty. It was easy and everyone agreed. Not long after Oliver gave her a number and told Marty about his niece thinking that Marty could use a friend close to her age. She added the number to her new cell phone from Felicity, pre-programmed with everyone's number.
Between the next two years she wanted out central city, and she was talking a lot to Oliver's Niece named Haiden Anderson. A girl who lived in the place called Gotham city. Everyone thought she was strong enough to be on her own if she wanted, and Haiden would take care of her if she moved to Gotham. With all the talk she decided the day she turned 15, she wanted to move to Gotham. Joe and everyone agreed. Through Gotham wasn't the nicest place on earth, it was a good one for a rough life kid like Marty.
15 to Present (17)
June 11, 2014. The day Marty was becoming an adult. Marty was moving out on her own, moving to Gotham city. Her bag was packed. With a bit of clothes, some emergency supplies her phone, charger, and a few other things she needed. Joe offered to drive her but Barry was a better option. She went to STAR labs once more to say goodbye to everyone. Oliver and his team was there as well. He gave her some extra cash and gave her a key, he had bought her a small apartment that should be enough for her for a little while anyway. The day was emotional. Marty was leaving her family for a different city she didn't know about at all. Tears were shed and hugs were given.There was one thing left to do. She cut her hair, shaving the sides of her head. She dyed her hair black instead of the brunette she was born with. She soon got on Barry’s back and he ran her to Gotham. Being an overprotective brother he got out of costume there and walked her around Gotham for a few hours.
Days and weeks went by, she was alone for most of that meeting Haiden once, or twice in that time since the girl was so busy. There wasn't much Marty could do besides enroll herself up in a new school and continue her learning. While she found a purpose for herself in Gotham.
Roughly a year later Haiden introduced the kid to Bruce Wayne. Bruce was cold towards her and gave her none of his time. That changed a few nights later when a robbery had occurred. Batman was at the scene after Marty by herself while accumulating a few wounds over her body, stopped the robber. No one was hurt. Batman walked over to Marty and asked if she was hurt. Simply shaking her head she turned him away, he stayed making sure the man was arrested before disappearing.
(original Story line. - But Optional)
Haiden and Bruce were waiting by Marty’s apartment door. Bruce looking like he had a headache and Haiden looking excited. What had Haiden so excited was she practically begged Bruce to adopt her, which to shut Haiden up, he begrudgingly did. He took her into the Wayne manor, and all the legal papers were filled out in the next few days. The days, weeks and months following that became much more strict, She was put on a diet, no junk food allowed. She was on strict training schedules. She had to get up early. Train, shower eat, school, once she returned home homework, train for an hour, train. And relax. During one training session there was a slip, a knife she was trying to take from Bruce slashed open her arm quite badly, not long after that she was hit in the head quite hard. Haiden had to intervene and patch up Marty up instantly. From the cut she gained a signature scar on her right forearm. From the hits to the head rattled her brain around, making a connection where there wasn't before. She could now control her powers better then she use to. But Bruce made the manor a no power zone. She had to learn to use her brute strength nothing else. When it was the right time he told her he was batman, something she pieced together months earlier. She eventually gained the respect of her adoptive father and gained a mask, he was planning to make her his newest robin, but she had another plan. She donned all black, claw like hand covers and called herself Crow. Bruce, Haiden and Dick all accepted this. Officially becoming the Crow on her first night of Patrol
