Descending Darkness

Aware that everyone had become eerily silent, he slowly turned to find Gold's black Cadillac parked directly behind him, the sound of its engine drowned by the various conversations. Swallowing to moisten his suddenly dry throat, Archie watched the Dark One slowly exit his car, eyes locked onto him. Body immediately retreating with each step Gold took, the psychiatrist noticed intense gray clouds appearing in the sky. He also saw that his pursuer had his enchanted dagger in hand, its metal glinting ominously. Crying out when the Dark One lunged, Archie was quickly pinned to the ground, the blade at his neck making him freeze. "W-wait, I swear it was an accident!"
"Quiet!" Gold snarled, digging the dagger into Archie's throat enough to draw a bead of blood. "Thanks to you, Cricket, Belle may never wake up again! You didn't even slow down or swerve to avoid her!" Casting a glance over his shoulder, he magically started his car, its headlights spearing the gloom. Gaze falling to the shivering man beneath him, the Dark One grinned evilly while getting to his feet. Waving his hand, he cackled as the Cadillac began to creep forward, tires crunching over loose rocks. "You have thirty seconds to give me a real reason as to why you hit my wife."
"Gold, enough!" Emma roared, arriving with Elsa and Regina in tow. Quickly kneeling by Belle's side, she felt a strong pulse. "She's alive, just unconscious. We can take her to Dr. Whale and get her taken care of." The car kept advancing, front wheels a mere five feet from Archie.
"Can't you do anything?" Elsa said to Regina, the sound of her voice breaking the Evil Queen's trance. Feeling the crackle of dark magic, the Ice Queen hastily retreated as the raven-haired woman flung her hand forward, a visible burst of energy blasting in Gold's direction. The magic struck the Dark One dead on, the force slamming him into the storefront behind him. At the same time, the Cadillac halted just before it rolled over Archie, who gave a sob of relief. "You did it!"
"I wouldn't celebrate yet, dearie," Gold rasped, brushing broken glass from his shoulders while hefting his dagger. The wind started to increase as he crossed his arms, not moving or blinking. Everyone crowded together, all of them sensing a massive surge of black magic. Uttering a battle roar, Gold brought his hands down, the shock wave knocking most people off their feet and shattering windows. Seconds later, a loud boom shook the ground as a blueish haze appeared in the darkening sky.
"He broke Ingrid's ice wall," Emma said hollowly, picking herself up along with Regina and Elsa. A flash of light drew her attention back to the Dark One to find a green fireball in his hand. Opening her mouth to demand what he was doing, the shimmering orb was launched into the air, vanishing amid the roiling clouds. Turning a pulsating crimson, a vaporous dome spread downward, the earth quaking when it made contact with Storybrooke's invisible town line. "Ok, Gold, what are you doing to the town?"
"It's simple, Ms. Swan," Gold replied, ignoring Archie who had shot to his feet and bolted from sight. "You can take Belle to the hospital, I have no problem with that." Striding to his car, he paused to glare at those around him, visage positively vicious in the red light. "However, know that what I am about to say is true. If my wife is not awake in one week, that barrier will solidify and retract inward, crushing everything in its path. For now, enjoy yourselves and don't cross my path, any of you." The Cadillac thundered to life at his silent command, causing nearby residents to scatter. Lithely sliding behind the wheel, Gold drove away slowly, his threat echoing in their heads.
