Sage then looked at the town again, and saw it empty. She quickly ran to the roads and looked at an abandoned library. It looked empty and peacefull, so she went in it.

"I have no clue to both of your questions," Crow replied. The memory pricked him continuously, but he ignored it. He unzipped the ragged backpack. Some bread, a few cans of soup, several pieces of fruit and some candy. "Take your pick."

Sage walked through the library and grabbed some books. She put some in her backpack and hid in the bottom shelf for a while.

The prick of a memory broke through. He only recalled the fire and Aurora, but it was enough. Crow didn't say anything as he bit into the apple. He glanced at the bit of paper sticking out of one of the pockets of his backpack. An old photo of a vaguely familiar boy. Himself, maybe? He forgot to push it back into the pocket as he continued to eat the fruit.
