My suggestion is that if you interact a pokemon or egg it will say:
This egg has hatched
This pokemon gained a level
This way you don't have to go to the persons box or party again and see if it gained a level. This is very frustrating as when I interact with my pokemon I have to load the page again and then interact another pokemon and so on

Just... Interact with it and then click "back" on the side bar, which will then bring you back to it's summary page. You will then be able to check it's level
