I looked around to see if anybody was around. When I saw there was no one, I turned to look at Phantom. "Don't freak out," I said, "But I'm actually a human. I woke up this morning, and I was a Quilava."

Phantom's eyes widened as he said that sentence. Memories of her being captured by humans, her best friend being killed by them, and having to protect the inhabitants from those...monsters at the Frost Caverns all flooded back. She backed up an inch, her hatred for humans only growing more by the second as she remembered the past. "...I'm sorry, I don't think I heard you correctly, but..." A nervous laugh. "I could have sworn you said you were human."

Gummy thought about maybe asking the strange, almost noiseless pokemon when she felt others come to the plaza. Now she's hidden behind a bush, waiting for them to leave.

The paper, now forgotten, lies in the floor; bits of slime prevents it from flying away.

I sighed. "I knew it," I said, "Okay, I'm not one of those humans who capture and kill pokemon for evil or mean purposes. I've seen people fight back against those people, and I would think; I want to be like those people. In fact, I lived with pokemon, and treated them like family. I wish, more than anything, that I could see them again. I'm not lying about this, not a single bit. If I wanted to lie, I would've just tried to use ember or something. Please don't hate, or kill me for this. I'm not one of those bad humans, I swear.

Raven walked into town, and saw a strange sight. A Froslass was glaring down at a Quilava, looking anxious. Hm... Should I see what's going on? Raven thought. After a few seconds of thinking, she began to slowly walk towards them. She stopped as she saw the Quilava whisper something to the Froslass, and watched as her eyes widened. "This... this is a bad idea..." Raven muttered to herself. "But... should I leave?"

Clutching the badge in her hand, Phantom was unsure if she wanted to trust him. He seemed trustworthy, but they all did at first, all of them...
The sincerity sparkled in his eyes, causing her to grit her teeth as she looked down at the badge, sighing. "You're lucky you're no longer a human, kid."
Instead of welding the badge to his bandana, ice would have to do. Phantom shot an Ice Beam through the metal, piercing a perfect circle through the top. She headed into her shop, grabbed a ribbon, and tied the badge onto his bandana. "There. Don't lose it."

Autumn || Bayleef

Autumn had been watching the whole display, but wasn't close enough to hear what was happening, so she was simply going by expressions. Looks like the Quilava had some sort of mind-boggling dark secret.
Turning around, Autumn squeaked in surprise as she bumped into an Absol who had seemed to appear out of nowhere. She turned shy, looking away and kicking at the dirt when she regained her senses.
"Oh, didn't mean to bump into you," she murmured, embarrassed. "Please forgive me..."

I looked at the badge, and then at Static. He was just as excited as I was. "YES!!!" we yelled at the same time, hi-fiving each other.

Then, I saw a huge rock, just like last time, except it was going straight for Phantom. My eyes widened. The attack would be super effective on her! "LOOK OUT!" I yelled, and jumped in front of the attack, again, blocking it from hitting Phantom. This time, I didn't pass out, but it hurt so much! I slowly stood up, and looked at Shadow. "Y-you okay?" I asked weakly.

Phantom sighed, heading back out to get some fresh air by the spring off of Paradise Plaza, where she was actually going originally.
Before she could take another step, all she heard was, "LOOK OUT!" causing her to whip around as a rock soared towards her. Eyes widening, she put her arms out, eyes shut tight, waiting for the impact that never came.
Blinking her eyes open, she looked down, realizing Rick had jumped in front of the rock to save her. She internally grumbled as she realized that he had proven to be an actual good human...how was that possible?! All humans were bad.
She kneeled beside him, sighing again. "...Thank you..."

Autumn || Bayleef

"Oh, are you su-"
Before she could finish her sentence, the Absol ran off, leaving her in the dust. Autumn sighed, sitting down. "Even the Disaster Pokémon runs away from me," the former human frowned, gazing at a little flower about to bloom by her feet.
The rock incident made her jump, and she ran over to the others, eyes widening as she looked down at the Quilava. "Oh my goodness...! Are you alright?!" Well, obviously not...

Phantom looked t the Bayleef, ignoring the Golem. "A grass type, do you know any healing moves?" she asked her.
"Y-Yes!" She nodded. "I know Synthesis..."
"Great, use it on this guy," Phantom replied, pointing to Rick.
"I can try," Autumn told her, closing her eyes as a green light began to dance around her, the leaf on her head absorbing light. A gentle beam was sent towards Rick, and since the sun was out, was able to heal most of his HP.

I grinned, and got up. "You fool!" the Golem said, and threw another rock. I opened my mouth, and then, flames came out! I had learned Flamethrower! The rock melted, leaving the Golem speechless. "How?" he said. "Get out of this town, before I hurt you for messing with my friends," I said with a glare. I readied another flamethrower, and the Golem ran away. "Yeah!" I said when the Golem was gone.

Friends...? The Froslass blinked as the Golem ran off, obviously angered by Rick.
"Would you look at that, you little liar," she said to the Quilava. "You can use Fire-Type attacks."

Autumn || Bayleef

"That was amazing!" Autumn squealed excitedly, a smile spreading across her face. "Did you see how he ran? Too funny!" She giggled, still smiling.

As Raven was running, she suddenly heard shouting from where she had just been. Curious, she turned around and went back into town. There she saw the same Quilava, yelling at a Golem, with the Bayleef she crashed into trying to heal him. Suddenly the Quilava used Flamethrower, and the Golem ran away. Then Raven saw the giant rock, and it all made sense. "It... it was all my fault..." Raven said to herself as tears filled her eyes. "It was all just because I wanted to make some friends..." She lowered herself to the ground as she began to cry.

After the mini-celebration, she watched as Rick walked away, towards that Absol she had bumped into before. Slowly, she followed him, eyes full of concern.
