"I have some berries.... do you want some? Or chips?" Nick offered, digging in her small bag for the mentioned items.
"What's up?" Ethan asked.

Gabite shook her head at Nick and turned to tap on Kyfron's knee, the trainer not reacting to her touch at all.
Aditsan looked back over at Ethan and shook his head. "Just-- something she said..." he mumbled referring to Mila.
PJ noticed a change in Aditsan and tapped him lightly on his wrist, causing him to exclaim in pain and clutching it. "What's wrong with you?" PJ asked.

Jess cocked her head to the side. "What? How do you know that?!" She frowned.
Nick nudged Kyfron. "Heeeey. Gabite needs you."

Kyfron murmured as he woke up, inhaling sharply simultaneously. He blinked his droopy eyes open some, looking around and seeing his Gabite and then Nick. "What's up?" he asked groggily.
Mila turned to Aditsan and PJ, then looked over at Ethan.
"What's the matter with you two?" she asked, not noticing Aditsan's wrist.

"I don't know-- Gabite couldn't wake you up." Nick shrugged.

"Here, stay still." PJ told Aditsan, then taking a bandage and wrapping it tightly around her cousin's wrist. "Just don't use it that much." Aditsan forced a small smile while looking down at his wrist, pinching it gently though choosing to ignore the pain for the time being.
Kyfron grumbled as he sat up some more, looking down at his partner. "What's the matter, girl?" he asked, the Cave Pokemon responding by crying its name in a lower tone which prompted Kyfron to reach in his bag and pull out a small container of Pokemon Food with a sticker of Gabite's face on it. He handed it to the Pokemon, who silently began taking the pieces of food one by one and eating them.

"N-nothing! Else! At! All! Ahahah!" Ethan said, snapping straight up with nerves.
"Hmm... suspicious!" Jess said. "I will deduce it! That's how you use the word, right?" she grinned, mumbling a little at the end.

Mila forced an awkward smile while looking at Ethan and Aditsan, the latter looking down towards the ground with dreary eyes and he remained pinching his wrist.
PJ grinned at Jess and suggested the group moved ahead to find Kyfron & Nick.

Jess nodded. "Nice idea." She said, beginning to walk.
Ethan shrugged and followed on Mudsdale.

PJ noticed her cousin sulking and dreading behind the others and responded by grabbing him tightly, talking to him in a stern tone. "You need to cut it out, whatever happened happened. You're acting like that Kyfron guy."

Jess quietly avoided a snicker as she eavesdropped on PJ and Aditsan before making her way to Mila. "So! Why were you late to thr tournament?"

Aditsan sighed and straightened his back, picking up the pace and taking PJ's advice. Up ahead, she spotted Kyfron who was smiling down at his Gabite as she began making friends with Nick's Banette.
"Oh, there they are." Aditsan announced somewhat loudly, catching Kyfron's attention.

"That's good, though! Living in a shadow isn't cool, I understand you there. I'm glad you came, you seem really cool!" Jess grinned.
Ethan's Mudsdale slowed to a stop as he waited.
