The group of four was silently listening to Arca.They had to admit what they were being shown was quite interesting.

Lithar was sitting in the rafters listening in to what Arca was telling them."So they are like phoenix tears in a sense?"He asks.

"Not the real phoenix tears, those are different, but the legends about their tears, yes. Not much is needed to fix stuff, so in large quantities this stuff can be highly dangerous. Now, you mentioned phoenix tears..." Arca picks up another jar, this one full of what almost looks like normal water, with a slightly silvery sheen. "These are actually two different purposes. Over about 70 degrees, they're like acid, able to eat away at any substance. Under 70, they'll cause drowsiness, and overall improve a mood, and they act as a truth serum of sorts. Only someone trained against Phoenix tears can resist the urge to be honest. At exactly 70, they do nothing."

Oliver glanced at the boy that spoke before turning back to lis ten to Arca. He nodded, listening. Maria stood next to him, staring at Arca. She blinked slowly, biting her lip a bit.

Aidia nodded, knowing all of what Arca was saying. Her ears flicked, and she flitted her wings. She looked at the little redhead, a smirk on her lips. He was so focused, it was almost adorable.

Arca shrugs. "It's your choice whether to believe it or not, but it'll still work either way, magic doesn't care about opinions. If you have someone who can manipulate temperature, it's quite useful. This jar keeps it exactly 70, they're useless. But I advise not drinking them, as your body would heat it up and that wouldn't be pleasant. Although it can be very enjoyable to watch. Over the next few weeks you will learn the very basics of magic. You will never stop learning. Ever. Take every word I say as a learning experience, because anything I say could save your life."

Laura rolls her eyes. "Everyone has a weakness. I'd have to stay far far away from those using magic." She sighs, then mutters, "Dang gold collar."

Laura stops, then sighs. "I'd be useful if I can find someone my family trusted to take off the collar. I can't take it off, and I know who they trusted. If only they didn't put this dang thing on."

Laura shook her head. "Adoptive family made it so that only they and the ones who they chose could take it off. Glitch was one of the ones who they made it take off for. But at this point, taking it off would mess up my height."
