Doug stared from the woods at the group.
"... Y'all have weird families." He grumbled. A Sableye was clinging to his leg, making weird scratchy noises that might have been laughs but nobody could be sure. "And a couple? I mean, congrats, but HOW did you end up dating HIM, cariño?"

He holds up his left leg, showing the Sableye clinging to his leg like a sloth. "I think I'm trainer-ing PRETTY WELL." The grubbin on his head squeaked in agreement, as Tep woke up in Doug's arms. Pikpik was perched on his shoulder, pecking at it's feathers to clean itself. "Yeah I kinda sucked, but I caught ALL THESE DUDES. 'Cept the sableye. He just sorta. Clung to my leg and poked the pokeball when I bopped him with it. BUT YEAH, I'M IMPROVING."

"Hey I've never had any girlfriends and..." Anubis leaned in to whisper into her ear, "I haven't said anything have I? I haven't said you can't date him. I want you to be happy little sis." Anubis backed away and smiled at Nyx. His eyes showed at twinge of guilt and saddness and he quickly turned away, so no one saw the silent tear fall down his cheek.
