He let out the sudowoodo. It looked at him and smiled. He returned it and started through the grass again. He saw a weedle and then he heard something eating. He turned around and saw a Munchlax eating a berry. He battled the munchlax and weakened it. He tried to catch it but it kept breaking out. He only had 2 pokeballs left. Finally he caught it. He watched as his pokedex analyzed it. He walked out of the grass and was relived.

A young male sat on a bench in a route. He had only recently gotten his starter, a young Rowlet named Willow. "We're going to be great teammates, you know that, Willow?" he asked. She cooed happily in response, nuzzling his hand. "I take that as a yes."

Vero was more than happy to be here. He thought about trying to get some other Alola Pokemon, such as a Vikavolt which he heard about - and saw one - from his friend who now lives there. Maybe A Lycanroc? He sat there on the bench until he heard rustling in the grass. "Willow, let's be ready," he whispered to his chirping starter.

He released the munchlax and gave it the berry it dropped. It dropped the berry again and grabbed his leg and was cuddling against it. He smiled

The Pokemon making the rustling noise appeared. It was just a Caterpie. "That stinks," Vero muttered, sending Willow to fight it. After a swift few Leafages, and being hit with Tackle and String Shot, Willow defeated the Caterpie.

"Let's see if we can find rarer Pokemon, Will," the trainer commented to his companion. She cooed happily and fluttered onto his shoulder.

Five minutes of searching for uncommon Pokemon later, Vero and Willow come across a Grubbin, a Pokemon native to Alola. "Doesn't this evolve into Vikavolt, like Lauren told us? I hope so, because I want it. Willow, let's go!"

He walked to taller grass and started training. If he was going to face the gym leader he would need to be ready. He mostly battled caterpie's for a while and then a mysterious pokemon popped out. The pokedex said it was a Grubbin. He battled it and defeated it. "Man I really need to get to a pokemon center" he said while looking at the tired pokemon. Blaze climbed on his shoulder. He sat on the bench and looked at his litten.

Azy started to dig through his bag when he found a singular pokeball when suddenly an azurill pounced at him in panic the pokeball fell out of his hand. Chepsin tackled the Azurill to the ground damaging the azurill then the ball fell onto it and it was captured. "phew that was a close one thanks Chespy" he said proudly.
