Her expression quickly changed to a more serious, determined expression.
"Leafeon, Double Team!" Maia called while throwing her hand up.
"Feon!" Leafeon cried as multiple clones of it appeared around the battlefield.

Cierah would smirk. " Sylveon get out of the hole quickly! " Cierah said in a fast way. Sylveon would dig out and get's hit by the energy ball and get's fling'd back, then skids onto the ground. " Now, Sylveon run at Leafeon use fairy wind! " Cierah would say while holding her hand. " Sylveon! " Sylveon would run at Leafeon and use's fairy wind.

Maia watched as her opponent's Sylveon attack and her Leafeon being thrown backwards as the result. "Leafeon, Baton Pass!" Maia called. Leafeon swished her tail and was returned to her Pokeball. Her Wartortle was sent out, though not by Maia's choice.

"Ready to go?" she asked the Turtle-Pokemon.
"Wartortle!" it cried in response.
"Alright, Bubble-Haze!" she called.
Wartortle responded by releasing a thick, black Haze from its mouth to conceal itself and distract the target, quickly followed by a stream of Bubbles.

Maxen observed the gym leader //Her pokemon were quick to respond meaning they had a strong bond and knowing of each other// He jotted down notes like lightning //Shes stratigic and thinks things through ,but is still quick on her feet// He studied the pokemon carefully.

Cierah would look at the haze " Sylveon use dig! " Sylveon would dig into the ground quickly. " Sylveon come on out and use moon blast! " Cierah said to Sylveon. Sylveon would dig out and leap up in front of the Wartortle and uses moon blast.

"I don't think so." Maia told Cierah, tauntingly. "Wartortle, deflect it with Iron Tail!" she called.
Wartortle's tail glowed white and hardened as it waited for the Moonblast to draw nearer. Once it was close enough, it swung its tail and hit the Moonblast as if it were a baseball and its tail was a bat, sending it shooting at the ceiling.

"You're tougher than you look, but we like a challenge." Maia told Cierah before calling for another Bubble attack.

Sylveon would get hit back roughly Cierah would look at Maia " That's good for a challenge. " Cierah would look back at Sylveon. Then Sylveon would get up " Sylveon! " " Okay now Sylveon use! Misty Terrain! " Sylveon would use Misty Terrain. Making the battle field go a cloud like but in pink. Making it hard to see. " Now Sylveon, Use Draining Kiss!! " Cierah would say while spinning around.

Maia and her Wartortle looked around as the battlefield changed in appearance.
"Don't let your guard down, Wartortle." Maia told the Water-type.
"Tortle!" it responded.

"Spinning Iron Tail!" she called. Wartortle retracted its body into its shell, leaving only its tail out and charged Iron Tail while using Rapid Spin. It then charged quickly towards Cierah's Sylveon.

Cierah would look at the Wartortle then before she knew it Sylveon got hit. Sylveon would hit into the wall and the Misty Terrain would start to go away. Sylveon would get up weakly. " Sylv! " Sylveon would walk up slowly. " Okay, Sylveon take a good rest... " Cierah would return Sylveon back into her pokeball. And throws out her great ball then altaria would come out. " Altaria, Mega evolve! " Cierah would put her finger on her mega ring while Altaria's bow on her neck would have the mega stone and it would interact with the mega ring. And then Altaria would mega evolve!

Maia and her Wartortle braced themselves as the energy from Cierah's Mega Altaria radiated.
"Can you go on?" Maia asked with Wartortle responding with a nod. "Well then we'll get things going with Bubble!"

Cierah would wait for the bubble. " Altaria use steel wing at the bubble then at Wartortle when it comes! " Altaria's wings would turn into steel wing, waiting patiently. Then Mega Altaria would fly up looking down at Wartortle.

Maxen watched how she countered the movies with other ones. The combinations of moves and that pokemon's abilities prevailed while together most trainers only use movies ,but she uses the abilities of her pokemon to help beat the opponent.

Maia smirked. "That Altaria sure is powerful." she noted.
She stopped for a moment to come up with a strategy and played things out in her head.

After about half a minute, a lightbulb came on in her head. "Wartortle, use Rapid Spin on your back and Haze!" she called. Wartortle did as it was commanded and the two moves combined created a vortex of thick black smoke.

"Swing it towards Altaria, then follow behind it with Iron Tail!"
The Haze-Vortex was launched at the Mega Pokemon with Wartortle right behind it charging an Iron Tail, hoping that the Haze would distract it long enough to land a super-effective Iron Tail.

Mega Altaria would get hit down pretty hard by the Iron Tail. Mega Altaria would hit into the ground, then fly's back up weakly. " Altaria can you still go on? " Cierah said to Mega Altaria. Mega Altaria would nod. " Okay, Altaria fly around Wartortle and use double team! Then use mist while your flying around the Wartortle! " Mega Altaria would use double team, and fly around Wartortle, then uses mist. Making the Haze go into the mist making it a black and blue color combined, while going around the Wartortle.

Wartortle watched the copies of the Mega Altaria appear, apparently confused.
"Don't let your guard down, spin and use bubble on the clones!" Maia called, Wartortle doing as it was told. Bubbles shot out in every direction in an attempt to draw the real Altaria out while also causing the Haze/Mist combination dissipate.

Maxen had gotten enough info for now. He put away his pen and left his pokemon except his abra he used to teleport to the sign up place.He did have a passion for battling ,but he also loved cooking and his pokemon. He signed up for the contest which started later then teleported to the gym with his abra. He could only do short range with his abra. He got his book and pen out again and continued to wait for his turn.
