(We were, but lets just start :3)

Summer jumped off the train and ran into the Emera Pokemon Center, were her and some friends were supposed to meet to start their journey. She missed her home town of Florescent City, but she knew she would be back soon. She was so existed to get her first Pokemon.

Ivan hopped off the train and, just like Summer, walked to the Emera Pokemon Center. This could be a whole new journey, a bad one, or a good one.

Duchess followed Summer off the train then followed her once more to the pokemon center.She thought about the pokemon she was going to see."Hmm....I prefere snivy...."

Chris leapt off the train, glancing at the windows as it left. Being raised in Frostbite Town had been rathe cold, but it had toughened her. She rushed into Emera Town and burst into the Pokemon center, excited for the journey to begin.

Summer waved to Ivan. She watched others bring their Pokemon in and out of the Pokemon center. Summer really wanted to do that. At age 10, she wasn't interested in starting a journey. But now that Pokemon Showcases are a thing, she is eager to begin at age 13. She then waved to Chris, still deep in thought.

Summer got up, and walked to the group. "We should get to the lab, before all of the starters are taken!" Summer said, running out. She started to walk to Professor Willow, her light hair blowing in the warm Emera breeze.

Chris nodded and ran in, spotting a few pokéballs. She rushed over and glanced at the professor. "We're ready!" She announced excitedly.

Professor Willow nodded. She started to introduce the group to all of the Pokemon. Summer watched closely, her mind changing about her starter every 2 minutes.

When Professor Willow fanilly finished, she layed all of the Pokeballs out on the table. Summer reluctantly picked up the Pokeball that said "Fennikan." and placed it in her backpack. The Professor smiled at Summer, before watching the others pick their starters. "Skitty seems to like you." Professor Willow said calmly.

Professor Willow smiled at Duchess. "I've been doing this for years, and I have gave countless past champions their starters, but I have never seen a trainer so sure about a starter before!" Professor Willow said to Duchess. Summer started to talk to her Fennikan, about her goals, and her hopes. She nodded, and smiled when she heard the "Pokemon Showcase" part.

"Really?" Chris picked Skitty up and smiled. "I choose you! Skitty!" She announced, picking up her pokéball as well.
Skitty mewed and nuzzled her.

Professor Willow enjoyed seeing such an enthusiastic group of kids. Summer smiled, happy to bond with her Pokemon. She put it back in its Pokeball, and got ready to leave, thanking Professor Willow for the Pokemon. "We should get going." Summer said to the other.

Chris pocketed as kitty's pokéball. The pink and yellow cat leapt onto her shoulder, and both smiled at each other.
Chris bowed to Professor Willow and rushed out the door, spreading her arms and grinning. "Alright Skitty, let's show them how good we are!" She called.
"Kit!" Skitty agreed, waving her tail.

Chris laughed and rubbed the back of her neck. "Right, whoops." She said, smiling. She looked over at Skitty, and held up her pokédex, reading about her new partner.
"Skit! Skit, Skitty!" Skitty yowled, waving her tail happily.
