"Come, Oakpaw," she mewed before jumping into a steady paced run to stretch her legs. The scent of fresh berries soothed the frightening she-cat and the quick pace stretched out her muscles. By the time she slowed down her mood had lightened considerably and her pawsteps were softer. Shadedfur came to a halt beside a tall rock and flicked her tail towards it. "Climb up, tell me what you can sense." Already she could scent a recently passed patrol on the other side of the stream and hear a water vole scratching under the soil. A fish broke the surface of the stream and sent ripples over the calm surface of the water, and a bird called far in the distance in distress.

Once she was there she saw Wishflower looking after Yellowsting.''Hello Wishflower'' she purred.''How is Yellowsting doing?'' she asked.''Is he going to make it?''

Oakpaw jumped onto the rock and scrabbled onto the top. He tried to pick out other scents from the fruits.
