Sycamore's Summer Camp! [Semi-Lit RP]
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Pokémon RP → Sycamore's Summer Camp! [Semi-Lit RP]Since she had Gala, she has always used her watch as a training for her small insect friend. Smiling down at him, she turned and looked around. Jasper had lain at her feet.
"We'll battle soon," He promised, his Pidgey flying off and landing beside the now sitting Chespin. "For now, just be patient."
Amara walked back to the camp with Fennekin on her shoulder and Bunnelby hopping beside her. As they entered, she took a moment to look around and glanced down at her new partner. "You're gonna be great," she smiled, kneeling down to him. He jumped up in enthusiasm and followed her for a quick heal before heading to the dining hall.
"Seviper! We don't eat other trainer's Pokémon!" she scolded.
She quickly changed her expression and looked up the trainer sitting beside her.
"I'm sorry, it won't happen again," she started, "Right, Seviper?"
"...Seviper..." the Fang Snake Pokémon mumbled.
She watched him crawl to the trainer, he rubbing onto her arm. Flirty little pest, Nimhe thought to herself. While picking him up, she placed him back on her arm, and watched him crawl back to her watch, only to sit there and stare at the female trainer.
Nimhe smiled a bit more at the friendliness of the trainer. "I'm Nimhe, but most call me N, Nim, or just Zee. You're choice honestly. Heh," Nimhe smiled as she spoke, happy that not everyone was going to be a total jerk around here. "You already met Gala here, and this is Jasper. I've had him since he was a small pup out of an egg." She looked to Jasper as be barked playfully at the sound of his name.
Fennekin looked at Jasper curiously as he approached her and smiled while wagging her tail.
"Fennekin!" she exclaimed as Shay pet the Fox Pokemon quietly and looked back at Nimhe. "I think I'll call you Nim ... But probably not, I never stick to these sorts of nicknames like one time I told my friend Arianna I was going to call her A but I ended up only calling her Arianna. Sometimes I'd say 'ianna' because I'm lazy but I dunno..." she rambled before snapped back into focus. "D'aww, that's so cute! This Fennekin here is the offspring of my mother's Delphox and she someday wishes to be a Delphox as well." she explained as Fennekin cried out in agreement. Shay turned to Seviper and placed a hand on its head while saying, "Aaaand this troublemaker here I found in my backyard gnawing at my mother's apple tree - the tree, not the apples - and I kicked it in the face and captured it!"
Aleena paraded into the Dining Hall with her chest out and head raised with her Piplup, Sapph, beside her doing the same. She stopped behind Shay and Nimhe and smirked down at Sapph.
"It looks like the people who clean this place left some trash sitting in a seat." she insulted.
"Pip-lup-lup." her Piplup mumbled at Shay's Fennekin.
Fennekin stood up and frowned angrily down at the Penguin Pokemon and growled.
"Let's go, Sapph, I can just feel my cuteness dwindling every second I'm near this Garbodor." Aleena told her Piplup.
"You can't lose something you never had, sweetie." Shay responded as Aleena merely shook her head.
Listening to Aleena, her happy feeling went away. I was wrong. she thought to herself. There are a lot of mean and horrible trainers here. Annoyed of how she had talked towards her, she looked at Shay and began to mutter under her breath, "No wonder why she chose to have a Piplup, it's almost just as cold as her." She snickered and looked to Jasper as though she said nothing.
Shay tilted her head as if a way to relieve her anger.
"Don't pay any attention to her," she suggested, "I've known her practically all my life and she's as bitter and she appears to be." Shay's Fennekin nodded in agreement as if she were saying the same about her Piplup. "Her name's Aleena but she's trying to get everyone to call her Al and her only purpose in life is to ruin mine." Shay sighed and looked over at Aleena who looked back and smirked.
At that moment, a woman walked onto the front stage and tapped a microphone that stood before her. "Hello? Is this thing on?" she asked, appearing to be unprepared. "Ah, yes. Alright then! Welcome, trainers! As we wait for the rest of the trainers to come in, we will begin the orientation. Now, trainers, I do have an important announcement from Professor Sycamore himself! If you wish to participate in the Double Battle Tournament, you must post with your character in the next 24 hours as we will be using a Random Generator to determine who will battle who first. Hail, trainers, this Double Battle Tournament is just the beginning. You will have to combine your Pokemon's moves and show excellent teamwork if you plan to make it to the top. Of course, with that being said, you'd need at least two Pokemon to participate. You may have more than two Pokemon, but only two can participate in a single battle at once."
"With all the battling aside," she continued, "you each will be bunked in an individual cabin during your stay here. The Cabins are in Groups of 3 and with each trio labeled with its own letter. Each Cabin will have one bed in the room with a three-person sofa and coffee table as well as its own bathroom equipped with a shower. There will be a television that will typically broadcast a message from Professor Sycamore detailing the day's events every morning. It is prohibited to unplug your television as it could be a safety hazard due to important news and events being broadcast. There will also be a videophone outside the middle cabin of each group. Please come up front to receive your cabin location."
"Ugh, we have to share a room?" Her and Lucky met eyes when she looked down at the pup in her arms. They shared an expression of distaste before Fox made her way to the front. "Let's just get this over with... I need a cigarette." The last bit was mumbled low under her breath.
Blake looked up and back at his Pokemon, hearing the announcement. "So we gotta share then.." He blinked as Pidgey perched on his head and Chespin sat on his shoulder. He hesitated for a moment, looking down at the table he sat at, then stood up and pushed the chair out. He began to walk to the front with his partners chatting too quick for him to even hear them say a part of their name.
Looking to Jasper, she whispered to the small pup, "Do you and Gala want to partake in the Double Battle?" She smiled to her Pokemon as she saw a happy silent yip escape his muzzle. As she looked back to the stage she heard about sharing rooms. Sighing, she decided she would wait until everyone else was finished for the most part before finding out her own roommate.
Don't be a couch potato...be a hardcore potato.
Shay smiled at Nimhe. "I take it you don't want to be up there with all those people? It's fine, I'll go up to see where you're being placed, you just sit here." she told her fellow trainer with a wink and walked to the stage, her Fennekin tailing closely behind releasing short "Kin"s and her Seviper staying near the Joltik in hopes of getting a mid-morning snack. "Seviper, we'll get you something to eat after this, I want to catch another Pokemon anyway. Don't you dare try anything, mister." she warned.
Al stood up queen-like, flipping one side of her hair behind her shoulder. "Sapph, Caserin, let's go find out where we're being placed." she told the two Water-types as they strutted to the stage not too far behind Shay. The trainer looked down at her Pokemon. "How about after this we go out to that Lake and see if they have any potential Pokemon?" she suggested to the two as they cried out in agreement.
(Basically just place yourselves wherever you want to be. Remember there are three cabins per group. For now I think we really only need to go up to letter D or E because there aren't that many characters. Also, in the forest you can train your Pokemon and capture some. You can't level up once per Pokemon defeated, maybe something more reasonable like per 3-4 = 1 Level. The tournament will be held sometime tomorrow so you're free to post anytime in between. Another thing is that for the tournament the maximum level a Pokemon can be is Level 25. The maximum level you can catch a Pokemon currently is Level 20 but please keep in mind that a Level 10-15 Pokemon will need some training before battling a Level 20 Pokemon. It is suggested you either level up your Pokemon or capture a lower level Pokemon.)
