Ravenpaw nodded to Cloudspirit's orders and padded quietly out to the plains, where rabbits and birds were more common to find. Her pelt did nothing to assist in the ways of camouflage, however. Despite this disadvantage, she refused to return with empty paws.
Ears and eyes alert, she crouched, belly low to the ground, sniffing for the scent of either of her tasked prey. The apprentice crept forward, gladly surprised to find she was downwind of any creature ahead.
She perked up, catching scent of just what she was searching for: a rabbit. Swiftly creeping forward, she found the small creature nibbling on the grass. Its ears went up quickly when she drew closer and that's when she rushed it, not wanting to allow it any chance to escape. Before it could turn and run, Ravenpaw was upon it, killing it with a swift bite to the neck.

	(Ravenpaw needs a mentor; would Cloudspirit be up to it?) Ravenpaw padded slowly back into camp, exhausted from the fox chase. She bared no visible wounds or injuries, luckily. The lean black she-cat trudged towards the apprentice den, plopping down on the ground just outside the entrance and almost instantaneously giving in to fatigue, falling asleep. [Read more]

Ravenpaw turned her attention to the foxes, her fur standing on end and a growl forming low in her throat. While she wasn't much of a fighter, despite being an apprentice for nearly five moons, she would defend her clan at all costs. The black she-cat darted towards one of the foxes, the one with Foxkit in its jaws and sent a light slash at its side. Surprised, it dropped the kit and snapped its jaws towards her. Quick on her paws, she avoided the sharp fangs and swiped at its snout with a hiss.
"Bet you can't catch me, you mangy fleabag," she hissed quietly, backpedaling before turning and running out of camp, the fox chasing after.
That's one out of camp. I hope the others are able to drive the other two away.
