To be fair, this is the first time he had a cyborg as a customer. Most of his customers either have normal animal features or human with magical powers. His eyes flickered to her cyborg features, the scar, and tail with curiosity. He saw the way she approaches the register with purpose and the smile playing across her face, showed how advanced her system was. From his world, cyborgs are typically treated as weapon. With the scar on her face, there was a story to her. However, Xinhe typically wasn’t the type to pry into other customers’ business. Before Xinhe can ask Caitlyn any question, he heard Karen’s voice. The young man shifted awkwardly in his spot, his cheek flushed with embarrassment. Back in Karen's Cafe that is located on East side of the hotel, the morning rush hour finally slowed down to a manageable pace. With the final customer leaving the cafe with their items, it was time for a brief cleaning duty. He made sure to tidy up the place as much as he can by sweeping the floor and wiping the table clean. After grabbing a remote from a drawer, Xinhe switches the tv that displays breakfast menu to lunch menu. He set the remote back into the drawer, and waits for the next customer in line. [Read more] |

From the east side of resort revealed a lavishing resort revealed a small comforting cafe busy serving hearty warm breakfast for customers with unique personalities. From boisterous Gen Z teenagers, millennials that occasionally strikes up conversations and humans with unique physical features or strange powers spawned in as well, the cafe had been a comforting place for resort residents. The aroma of morning coffee and other delights rolled into the main courtyard, like a tendril of temptation that draws outside customers to the cafe. From the front register stood a young man with raven dark hair and somber brown eyes - paired with dark circles under his eyes is enough to reveal a story of fighting through another restless night. Accompanied by his sleep paralysis demon called ’student debt’. Despite the troublesome night, he had already adapted to his erratic sleep schedule since high school. The young man was committed to his job. His nimble fingers efficiently mashed through each buttons. The past cafe work experience guides Xinhe through the digital screen, but he may have used more force than necessary. The monitor slightly tilted to side. It was close enough that the customer can smell the burnt wires and the heat of the monitor’s circulation from that range. As the next customer step up to, Xinhe greeted them with an unreadable. “Welcome to Karen’s Cafe, where you’re not allowed to refund once you consumed a single bite of our product. What can I get for you?” His tone was not unkind, but felt flat to anyone that heard him. After receiving the order, Xinhe turned to the coffee machine to grab a pot of coffee. He moved fluidly through the cafe. His hands moved in a blur. The afterimages made his arms appear multiplying, until he is now working with 8 arms. A moment later, Xinhe turned to the ‘pick up’ station to set the items down. The plates and the cup of coffee gently clinked on the glass surface. He called the order to the customer, “one black coffee and a matcha cake!” He decided to take the next order. When the customer finally came, Xinhe paused in his current order to give the customer a nod of confirmation. “Enjoy.” After the customer left, he resumed to finish up sending in the next next batch of orders. Occasionally, a exhilarating sigh escaped his lips while he tried to keep up with every request. Name: Xinhe Gender: Male Age: 18 Powers: Can shapeshift into a small black kitten and Goliath Birdeater tarantula. Appearance: Xinhe stands at 5’8 with dark hair and somber brown eyes. Dark circles formed under his eyes from constant college and work pressures. For work, he primarily wore a waiter uniform: black t-shirt, black slacks, brown boots, and a dark apron. For swimwear, he wears a blue swimming trunk, sandals, navy blue swim jacket. Trivia: He is more sensitive towards warmer weather, and will frequently passed out from heat stroke. He used to be in a cross country team when he was in high school. About Xinhe is an college freshman that is currently working in the resort’s cafe to pay off his student loan. Unfortunately, he had chosen his least favorite season to enter employment: summer, despite his frequent habit of collapsing under the scorching heat. Xinhe has another habit of staring into the customer’s soul whenever the customer refused to tip him. He will often self-loathe about being a permanent slave to his student loan. He will be very very sad. The only thing that prevented him from dramatically passed out again is the EXPENSIVE healthcare system. After being constantly haunted by his student loan, Xinhe can be very diligent towards his duty to the point that he will often neglecting his own health (the duality between money and health).
