	One of my pokemon is currently on a rumble mission in the Alolan region. I just noticed that it's got an egg with it. If I adopt it, will hatching the egg break my chain? I think it classifies as 'other' in the pokeradar check, which would mean it doesn't break my chain but I just want to be sure. [Read more]

Hi! I've been on and off this site a few times so I never really took the time to figure out some of the more long term features. I've recently gotten a bit more invested and have been wondering about some challenges and features on PH, one of which is the shiny chain everyone seems to be talking about. How exactly does it work? Is it just hatching the same type of pokémon over and over again, in the hopes of getting a shiny after a while? And do I have to have the pokéradar or another item, or is it possible to do it without?
