I started to rewartch the first season of the anime with my girlfriend, we both liked the show when we were kids and we grow up with the hungarian dub, so we choose to rewatch the series with it, instead of the original voice and subtitle combination. But sometimes the main trio and Team Rocket say really stupid or annoyingly dumb things.

Recent example, the team search for Bruno in the mountains and talking about giant Onixes, which live around that region. A few seconds later they found a big path craved into the rocks and they were like "OMG, what's this. This must be made by a really gigantic creature, but we have no idea what could be that creature."

Like wtf, you guys just talked about giant (even with Onix standards) rock snakes which lives in that area. So I thought this is either the poor work of the hungarian translator, or these stupid lines inherited from the 4kids dub (as the hungarian translation based on the 4kids version and not the original), or they are really said dumb things like this in the original version.https://omegle.onl/ vshare

Someone, who have better insight on the different versions (english/4kids and original) of the first season can help us out with this question? The main characters are really this dumb sometimes in this season? Or they got really bad lines after translating it to a different language? I heard that 4kids made really bad dubs back then for many eastern tv show, yugioh for example.
