First off guys, this is a copy of an idea by notanotherkangaskhan.
Secondly, i don't really live in a water biome, as i live in a market town, the only water source we really have is a small beck(River like but smaller/thiner). I think we have about 3 actual water spawn points, could have been 4 as i used to have one in the comfort of my own home, sadly they removed it. They must of thought, hey wait a minute, theres no water there, lets remove it haha.
Thirdly, there is some other spawn points that spawn the occasionally water pokemon, so this is a good thing.

Anyway, i'll update the thread on regular basis. The numbers in brackets are most notable iv Pokemon from that day,

Day 1(Yesterday)
2 Magikarp(No Shiny)

Day 2(So Far)
4 Magikarp(No Shiny) (87)

It's hard to believe I've been playing Pokémon Go for just a little over three months. I reached level 30 a week or so ago and thought this would be the end game. I live in a small town and pretty much thought there was nothing more to do but grind away. Catching endless quanities of same old same old. Today I read about mapping your own neighbor hood for spawn sites. I never thought to try this because the randomness of catching whatever I came across was ok until now. So I did it this way and am blown away by what I've learned over the last three hours!
There are three specific spots I can snag pokemon from my yard. Sometimes in my house. I have worn a path around my garden and property where I walk a few times a day and also hatch eggs. My property is a half acre and fronts three streets on the very edge of the village. Sometimes rare and uncommon things pop up. Like Abra, Squirtle, Jynx, Tauros, Wiggly, and once a Snorlax. I never found the Snorlax. Lots of Eevees, Pidgeys, Bellsprouts, Oddish, Drowzee, Clefairy, Caterpie, weedle, Spearow, Nidoran female and male. I thought the spawns were random and I normally would go outside twice and three times a day.

The sightings map would fluctuate wildly through the day and I could normally walk to the same spots for the first three on the list. A few times when GPS on the phone was twirling and my avatar was running around some things would spawn in crazy places.

But now for the shocker! I had no idea until today that the spawns are like clock work! Every hour today I have been taking screen shots of the map and screen shots of the catch! At 10 minutes after the top of each hour they are spawning! Then nothing. The sightings map is changing and resetting every hour.
It's just the first day of keeping a record but this could change the game for me. I'm starting to take screen shots of the known spawn areas in town too. If they also are on the clock it will help me plan my shopping and other errands to coincide with the spawn schedule. Maximizing catch rates. Am I the last to learn this?

I'm an old school Poke'mon player, my heyday with Poke'mon, was 1998-2000, had the trading cards, but mainly just played it on the gameboy. I took that gameboy everywhere with me, even when other kids who were "too cool" for Poke'mon thought it was socially unacceptable for me to bring it to the lunch table during lunch time at school.

I haven't bought a Console since I bought a used PS2 slim close to, if not, 10 years ago. Oh and somewhere buried around my house is an old N64. I think we had a Sega Genesis for awhile too, also for retrogaming purposes.

As a member of the PC Gaming Master Race, I generally frown upon consoles, my PC does everything I want it to and more. Yes it does sort of suck that I can't seem to get good racing games like Forza on my PC (although as I understand it, finally Microsoft relented and put Forza on PC at long last).

My Skyrim alone has over 200 mods, some of them older mods, which will never be ported to Special Edition Skyrim on the Xbox by the original modders (also why I have not upgraded Skyrim to the new Special Edition on PC, because some of my favorite older Skyrim mods wouldn't work on it). When I play GTA V, I try to put in as many real life cars as possible, to replace the fake ones that come with the game.

All 3 Console manufacturers today, offer me pretty much nothing, besides a few games here and there, that I would buy a Console, and play, over playing games from my PC.

The 3DS XL is a rare exception, in that occasionally, I will pick it up and play it, since only Poke'mon GO is offered on my Cellphone, and I much prefer the 3DS version of Poke'mon, to that of Poke'mon GO.

Anyways back on track, right now about the only game in the WORLD, that I would be willing to *maybe* drop some money, and buy a Console, would be another Poke'mon Stadium, and the ability to transfer my Poke'mon's from the 3DS XL, to the Console, similar to how it was done on my Red/Blue cartridges onto the N64's Poke'mon Stadium, back when I was a kid.

These days the Console Poke'mon games I don't have much interest in, there was a Poke'mon fighting themed game, and then there's one I think called "Mystery Dungeon". Again, not in my interest. But I would be immensely interested in another Poke'mon Stadium that allowed my to transfer my Poke'mon from my 3DS XL, onto my house's LCD Flatscreen. Hell I might even buy a TV to put in my own room, just so I could play it here.

What's the word on this? To me, besides the anouncer's lines during battle which got super old, super fast, it was actually one of my favorite N64 Poke'mon games.

Then Nintendo went off on a tangent, and started making Poke'mon games that had nothing to do with the gameboy versions or the ability to put your own Poke'mon on your TV screen at home (Like Poke'mon Snap for example, which also got really old rather fast).

Over course of various Pokémon games that have been released, new Poké Balls have been introduced over time. Gold/Silver/Crystal introduced the Apricorn Poké Balls, with a slew of new Poké Balls being introduced in Generation 3. Heal and Dusk Balls debuted in Generation 4, and Cherish Balls debuted for Event Pokémon as well.

Prior to Generation 7, the last games to see a new Poké Ball introduced was the Generation 5 games Black & White, which saw the Dream Ball introduced. While it could only be used in Entree Forest as part of the game's Dream World, it could catch any Pokémon.

With Sun and Moon's release we were introduced to the Beast Ball, a special Poké Ball that works well on capturing the Ultra Beasts however it doesn't work very well on other Pokémon.

In future Pokémon games, what Specialized Poké Balls would you guys like to see? Will it be a new variety of Apricorn Poké Ball? Will it be available at a Poké Mart? Or will it be given to the player by an NPC?

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's new Poké Ball ideas!

With 18 Pokemon types, there is a lot to choose from! Which types do you guys think are the best or worst, whether by competitively or just in your opinion? What is your favorite type and why?

I think Ice type is definitely up there in terms of usefulness since it can take out many common and major threats, such as those pesky Dragons. Plus, it's just cool Of course, the Dragons themselves are awesome cause who doesn't want to use a mighty Dragon in battle?

I also like Psychic type, well, because I'm an Espurr, and also because it is powerful and the concept of controlling things with your mind is just awesome, unless you're an Espurr and have no control over your powers. Psychic is definitely a favorite though.

Probably gonna be in a majority here and say Normal is probably worst, and I really hate to say it too because I feel bad for the Normal Pokemon. But they aren't super effective against anything, so there's not too much advantage to using them. Though being immune to Ghost types is awesome, on the other hand Ghost types are immune to Normal... so not a huge advantage there

so I usually use the tutapp version on my phone, within the last 12 hours its stopped working, which I'm sure everyone's aware of now

I've tried a few things already:
downloaded 0.35 - update to continue
downloaded 0.37 - not compatable with this device or OS
downloaded 0.39 - unable to authenticate
i've even uninstalled everything and downloaded the official app from the Playstore - but even that gives the 'unable to authenticate' message
i've tried creating a new account and again it shows 'unable to authenticate'

bluestacks is obviously the same too

so has anyone any idea what's actually going on?
or ay idea how I can play AT ALL?

thanks in advance
