CHAPTER 19 After eating 5 corndogs, we finally arrived in Challenger's Deep, we all went down in a bubble John made.(You know, like in Green Lantern. His marker, I guess.) "That castle is their base!" Luke shouted. "Remember. First, we find Delta and Zeta!" ================ "Near the portal yet?" I asked into my future phone. "Yeah, were near." I heard Helia say. "1 km." "Be quick, Yeakovich, I, Frank, Sirius and Jupiter are already here." "Fine." Oh they're the guys in Delta. "Sirius, can you shoot some lasers at the Starjoks there?" Yeakovich said. "Ok." She replied. "Jupiter, can you take care of the ones there?" He asked again to Jupiter, he said the same. "Ready to do this bro?" Yeakovich asked me. I smiled. "Heck yeah." We high-fived and zoomed through the crowd of Starjoks, a laser shooting out of my eye and the blade is Yeakovich's hand. 1 half of our body is his, the other is mine. "Hold on.... There are missles shooting at us!" I heard Helia say. "Grant, Shaun get to the fire ports. I'll get to the portal! Hold on, one is locked on us! Both of you, Grant, Shaun, jump into the portal! Don't worry about me!" "Helia be careful!" "Faster! I don't think I'll make it. I die a hero! No. I will--" The line cut. "Bad news, Sirius, Yeakovich, Helia's jet crashed. I think Grant and Shaun escaped, but Helia...." ".... That is the least of our worries. We will avenge her by destroying this base." "Yes." I said. "Dude! I spotted Tugna here. By the ways, R.I.P Helia." Jupiter said, holding up a GPS. "Let's check that room." Yeakovich replied. "Who are you?" We heard a voice. "Who are you guys?" I replied. There were 3 people, 1 boy and 2 girls. I saw the watch. "Were Zeta and Delta." "Hey! Nice to meet you!" Their leader, one of the girls said. "Same!" "We found 2 of your... Friends?" "Hey its Grant and Shaun!" Jupiter said. "Who are you anyways?" I asked. "Oh, I'm Ivy, he's Cryo, and she's Daniella." I told them our names. Ivy brought out a rifle and she and her two friends rushed into one of the Starjok armies, decimating it. We took care of rest with Sirius's light Marker and Jupiter's windmaking. I saw a tiger, Daniella I think, Cryo shooting them with a bow that came out of nowhere, and Ivy shooting 4 rifles with telpathy. Duplication, I guess. "Are we late for the party?" I heard an oh so familiar voice. "Of course not, James. Brought the calvary, I see?" I saw a bunch of people including, Gamma, and a few other groups. James crashed into some Starjoks as a tank, Shino shot them with UZIs and a laser I know too well from my own timeline. After everyone else joined the fight, we finally finished them off. We introduced each other, and after it was all done, Helia walked in. "I knew I'd survive. Hahaha!" "Oh she's Helia, we thought she died but I guess not." Sirius told James. Zorro brought out a dagger, then looked for Granger. Wait, where was he? In the heat, we forgot about him. "Oh he was guarding the portal." Helia said. "Oh hi guys!" Granger said when he came back. "James! DUDE!" He ran to James, and they hugged. "Its been so long, bro!" James said. He mouthed childhood friend to me. Zorro frowned. He silently handed me a new article. After skimming through it, I realized that Granger was a traitor. He helped the Starjoks and tried to kill his teammates. I guess he hid it from them. He ran to Granger and tried to stab him. "WOAH! Watch it, dude!" He handed him the article. After he read it, he said "Nonsense!" He threw it away. Zorro tried to stab him, but he dodged then sucker punched him. "Get him!" Luke shouted. James said "I just found him again, don't." "Remember, James, he's a traitor!" Shino said. He frowned. "Fine...." "I know it must be hard, James." Shino said. "Ok. Go get him guys!" James said through a few tears. They must've been good friends. While me and Yeakovich were flying, he shot a flamethrower at us. We fell down. =============== [i]I saw James, Gordon/Yeakovich, Luke, Sam, Jupiter, Grant, and Dani(Daniella, she asked us to call her that.) catch fire. I saw Helia use her water Marker on them, but Granger was ready to fire again. Zorro teleported in front of him, punched him in the face, then stabbed him in the chest. "One less problem." Zorro said. Me and Shino stood with our mouths open. "Did you just... Kill him?" She asked. "It was necessary, he captured my teammates and... Helped Tugna kill them." Shirley tried healing everyone, but some scars remained. "You should get some rest Shirley." I told her. "Ok." She sat for a while. James still had a scar of his neck. A really big one, actually. 40%? 50? 60? Shirley told him he needs something to cover it up. Luke had a big streak on his arm, and the rest of the others's were minor. We got some rest. I saw Zorro looking at a picture of his team. "I will finish avenging you. Tugna will die." He said to himself. =============== Ouch. This neck scar hurts. At least Shirley's healing also helps our metabolism. This should heal, but I need to prevent infection. I saw Shino remove her turtleneck. "James, wear this for a while." She said. "Thank you..." I said. I remembered her saying that the turtleneck was special because she believes it would bring her good luck because it was bulletproof. I put it on. It was so fluffy I could just fall-- Nah. This is so much to take in. I have spent so much time looking for Granger, and he's.... He was bad, though. I turned into a hydroplane from the future that could fit us all in. "Luke, do your work." He slowed down time for the rest of the world which is one of his markers. We have only 8 hours and its a good thing he's gonna be sleeping because it is really tiring. When I leaned on the wall while sitting down with Shino to fall asleep, I felt her leaning on me. "Tomorrow, we kill Tugna, ok?" She asked me. I laughed a bit quietly. "We'll see about that." I hugged her, and I drifted into a dream. ============== "Huh? Who the heck are you?" I asked while running for who knows what. "Mu is alive!" "Huh? I thought you guys died!" "Me and one more!" The man was running alongside me. "Listen to me. I am Silver! You have to be fast! I only have 3 days left. Please faster!" "Well, when?" "1006! Another team is helping me. But they alone won't be enough." "Why me?" "Not helpful! "The other one is Trent." "Ok..." "He's after me..." He brought out a sword and impaled my stomach. I clenched it and fell to the ground. Surprisingly there was no pain. Then I woke up. INCEPTION!! ok i won't do that. ============== "Good morning guys." I said. "Hi." Shino said after yawning. I went back to normal. Ivy used an x-ray vision marker to see through the walls. "Tugna is... There." She pointed to one of the walls. Shino brought out a rocket launcher. "Guys move back... 3... 2... 1..." She blasted it. Immediately there were about 50 Starjoks who came running out. I turned into a Humvee and started blasting them. "Gordon Yeakovich go find Tugna! Ivy how did you know that was Tugna?" "Oh, he was like the biggest guy there. 8 feet." Oh right I can just turn into a Fire Jet from 6729 and burn everyone. Every Starjok. After all that was done, we went into the hole in the wall. It was a big space, like a gymnasium. Maybe a Starjok training place from the looks of it. "Well well well... Isn't it Jason's minions back for more?" I heard a deep voice say. CHAPTER 18 "We need a submarine!" A guy from either Alpha or Beta with heterochromia said in a deep Spanish accent. I turned into one. "Get in everyone!" I shouted. I saw people getting in one by one. This submarine is from 5 billion years in the future. Found it lying somewhere on Tatooine. Actually I really don't know where its from. After everyone got in, I closed the hatched and went down. I felt a gunshot wound, then saw another person with the same gunshot wound in his leg faint. "Quick, CPR!" The guy who I guessed was the leader of Beta said. I saw Hunter giving him CPR, then another girl checked for a pulse. A tear ran down her cheek. "Barrett... no..." Poison. "Who else has a gun wound?" I asked. Zero, the supposed leader of Beta, another girl, and Shirley raised their hands. "I healed mine though." Shirley said. She healed the others, until the other girl dropped dead. Nancy, Luke, the leader of Beta, called her. "No, its poison. Remember, you can't heal poison." I said. "I know this poison. I encountered some while fighting the Starjoks, lemme find it... Here! Got some samples. Luke, Zero, James, Shirley, get some rest. Less activity helps. Shino, Sam, Jack, Hunter, you(He pointed to the Spanish guy), and you(The other guy in Alpha or Beta.) help me. We gotta make an antidote. "John is good at chemistry. He can help." Luke said. "And I'll stay behind to take care of them. I'm Zorro, by the ways." The Spanish guy said. ================== "Did you just notice that John was my alias?" Sam said. "Oh yeah. I remember that." Shino said. "Shen was Shirley's. You used it... because you wanted to remember Gamma's Fifth member. John Shen. Rest in piece." "Umm... Shino, can you scout with your sniper, the bullets can travel in water I think." I said. "Yeah, sure." She replied/ "Sam, we need some chemicals, John has a list of chemicals, can you get some in my bag." "Ok." "Jack, Hunter, Clyde, stay here I need some help." "One more thing." Shino said. "Please don't tell James about John Shen. He must not know. Otherwise, we might lose his trust. We... Had some technical difficulties. We sacrificed him." ====30 minutes later.==== "Were done!" I heard John shout. We got the injections. "Better be careful. Side effect is nausea, headache, and heartburn. It should be better tomorrow. So James, stop the sub somewhere." John said. "Ok." "We need to go to a Starjok base at Challenger's Deep." "Ok, auto pilot set for the Twighlight Zone." ==================== One traitor. Delta. Granger. James approached me. "Why are you... silent?" He asked. "Oh. Sorry. That was a bit insensi--" I waved my hand. "Its fine." I said. Everyone sat down. "... Well. I was captured by Tugna, a Starjok leader. Me and my friends. He tortured them in front of me. Killed them. Then he went to me. I became lost. Until Luke and Beta found me." "Wow... I'm sorry, bro." Sam said. ========Next day=========== "Woah guys this is big news. Zeta and Delta are near. In the Starjok base at Challenger's Deep." Echo said. "At least Zorro said." "Delta..." Zorro said. "Be cautious. When you spot Granger, kill him. He's a traitor." "How do you know this dude?" He asked. "Here." Zorro said. He handed Echo and me a newspaper. 2030 Terrorist Attack in Manila said to be related to Antartic and ISS bombings. We grieve over the 5 dead people on the ISS. The lost parts have been replaced, but the US government will stay cautious. The one colony in Antartica which was destroyed by Granger Henson will be honored tomorrow. Just last week, another terrorist attack happened in Manila. Detective Wells says that he found a relation between the three attacks. I stopped reading there. Granger... Henson? No way. No freaking way. Granger Henson... my childhood friend is a terrorist? "So... Is this a time traveller?" I asked. "Most probably because he disappeared." Zorro replied. ===================== "James!" "And so I was thinking... Are we still gonna get married in this timeline?" I can tell she had the slightest crush on me. Well, ain't this a surprise! I chuckled a bit. For my name, Shino was a Japanese General in the year... 10 raised to 10 raised to 10 raised to 55, who they said fought against an alien race. I thought they were joking, but nah. They weren't. She was a military hero who died while... Fighting the alien race? As for my eye color, it was a hidden gene. See, pun not intended, one of my parents had brown eyes, the other green eyes. I use a sniper because when I was 9 I accidentally made a gun. This sniper. The turtleneck and coat is just something I like to wear." "I was named after James Watt because my parents were either historians or engineers. They liked the Industrial Revolution a lot, then I was born." CHAPTER 17 "Hi, Zorro!" Luke said. "Hello." I replied. He's in Beta. He's lucky, all 5 are still there. The sniper bullet hit. The leader of this place is dead. Now we're in 2017. There is another Starjok base. Luke has evidence that Gamma and Epsilon are there. Starjok base is in Challenger's Deep. We need a submarine that can withstand high pressure. =========== We ran into Epsilon in the middle of the Pacific. They were on a fishing boat, then we let them hop on our boat, a small cruiser. "James, we need help!" Echo shouted. "Why?" I asked. Then I saw Hunter. He had an arrow sticking out of his chest. "Shirley!" I shouted. She came down. "What? Oh. I can handle this." She removed the arrow, then healed the wound. "What happened to you guys anyways?" She asked. "We went to the old Americas. You know, native Americans. They took us as hostiles and" He tilted his head at Hunter. "Thanks guys." He said. "Sarah unfortunately died." "Sorry." I said. ============= I looked into the horizon. I spotted a small boat. "Shino I got a signal from it." Jack said. "James, there is a boat at 4 o'clock. Jack got a signal from it." I spoke in my earpiece. Jack checked his computer again. "Hold on, I'll decode it.... "Please help us. We are Alpha and Beta. I know you are Gamma or Epsilon."" I spoke into the earpiece again. "James they say they are Alpha and Beta. Approach with caution." =========== I saw Zero jump into the water. Echo told me that he has water breathing. ===5 minutes later=== "Let them in. Dude, they're legit!" Zero said when he came back. We allowed them on. I saw a ship crush Alpha and Beta's boat. It was a bit small, but much bigger than our cruiser. I saw Starjoks with guns shoot us. I was forced to go back to regular. CHAPTER 15 When we got out of the Time Matrix, we saw Jason up ahead. "Yo, man! Were done!" Sam shouted. "Not yet... You guys have one more mission. 2027. Bye." We immediately appeared in a wasteland. =========== Sniper. One shot. Alpha. Zorro. 189 AD. Starjok base. Me. Only one left. Starjoks. You'll pay. Lights out. ======= "What the heck?!" Shino shouted. I sensed a man behind me. "Who are you?" I asked. "Hi. My name is James Mackerton. Safe house is at--" "Wait. What?!" I said."Were the same, dude!" "Finally your here, follow me we'll explain." ===20 minutes later=== We were in the place. Future Shino, Sam, Jack, and Shirley were here. "So, your watches are down. You can time travel back in a few hours. This is 2037, the future of humanity. See, you guys stopping time travel upset the space time continuum. It wasn't meant to happen by the time gods. The Starjoks invaded Earth, this happened." James from the future said. I noticed a ring on Future James's hand. "Your married?" I asked. "Yes." He said. "To Shino." Future Shino nodded. Me and Shino looked at each other. "What?!" "Yeah, the truth. Now, we better get going." ========= We encountered a group of Starjoks. I turned into a Hum-vee and started shooting. All the others started fighting. After a few explosions and gunshots, I saw Future Sam on the ground. Me, Jack, and Future James went to him. "No pulse. Rest in peace, my friend." Future James said. "James, your watches should be ready soon. We'll cover you." I heard Future James say. Me and the rest of Gamma set our watches. I looked back, and saw Future Jack getting blasted by a bomb, Future Shirley getting stabbed, and Future Shino getting shot in the chest. Future James went near us. He smiled. "Good luck. CHAPTER 14 Oww.... Seriously. This shoe stinks. The underwear stinks too. And this stick sticking out of my arm. That sucks too. And everything is this place stinks. Ok I'll explain... ========= So basically we were taking a stroll to find a way to get to Tatooine. Then there was this huge cloud with ninjas-- Starjoks(Man, I've been hanging out with Sam too much.) They captured us off-guard. Jason should be in this place soon enough. We tried to fight them off, I got this thing sticking out of my arm blah blah blah. So yeah I'm in this room with Shino. "You sure that stick is fine?" "Heck yeah." Shino shivered a bit. "Let's quit. I talked about this with Gamma." "Whaaaaa?" "Yeah, its too dangerous." I thought about this for some time. "Ok." ===10 minutes later=== "I'm hungry stupid guard!" "Shut up." "Woah rude dude detected!" I am gonna give up trying to annoy this guard. "Shino, would you introduce this kind guard dude to Thanathos?" I told Shino. This is her cue. "Yeah." She shot him with her arm gun thing. "Jack and the others ditched us! I really should've stopped trying to annoy him to death." We ran down the hallway. We stopped at the door. Shino looked for a panel. "Ok this requires some stuff to open... let's see. Hmm... can't seem to find a cable or any--" "Try my way." I smiled. I turned into a Boeing-777. Then I turned normal again. "Bam. Or should I say Boom..." "Seri-- Well that works too... I guess." "Let's go." ===10 minutes later=== I wan already in the fastest motorbike. 2000 mph, not too shabby. When I finally found the others, we agreed and went back to 2017. Were done. =========== Jason left, he said he has urgent business in 2017. We reached a forest, then for some reason Jane(Our other member) dropped all her stuff and got out her knife. Hanson(Our fourth member) said. "You sense anything?" "Yes. You." Before anyone could react, she impaled Hanson in the chest. I saw him fall. "What the heck?!!?!" Yeakovich screamed. "Your outnumbered, traitor." I said. "Well, then I'll reduce your numbers." She smiled, then shot fire at me. I dodged. I felt like I should, I dunno why, but I high-fived with Yeakovich. He also high-fived me. Suddenly we became one person. "I think this is new." I told Yeakovich. "Lets take her down and test this!" He replied. Jane teleported away. "Oh, you can run but you can't hide!" We said. We flew up high, then dropped on where Jane was. We split into two. Yeakovich punched Jane. I stabbed her with her knife. We repeatedly beat her up. CHAPTER 13 When we stepped out the Time Matrix, there was a blinding light. I had a surge of pain. I don't know what happened next. ============ I saw Yeakovich bring out the Cryo Gun. He shot Gamma. "They shoulda come here prepared." He said. "Or they coulda just went to Titan or C9YI. I love that place." 5 billion years in the future. Were lucky the time gods gave us powers, or Gamma would be dead. Its pretty hot now. A few hundred degrees Kelvin. We brought them to a burn treatment hospital. ====20 minutes later==== When I woke up, I felt... good. I don't know what just happened. When I looked up, I looked around. It was a holographic... I dunno. A hospital? I got out of what seemed like a bed. "Hello?" I asked. "Welcome, Master James." I heard a female computerized voice say. "Woah! Who are you?" I asked. "Mr. Travis asked me to take care of you for your burned wounds." "Well, are you an AI or something?" "Yes." "Do you know anything about me?" "Yes. I am Mr. Travis's computer. I know you are a time traveler. I am a supercomputer AI." Mr. Travis? Whaaaaaa? "Who is this... Mr. Travis?" "Gordon C. Travis. He left a message for you. I will play it." "Hello James! I owe you one. You helped me escape from the 496th century! Jason is on Tatooine in the system Gliese 667. Its name is from the Knowledge Era. Your era. This is 5 billion years in the future. Earth is inhabitable, but luckily you are from the time gods. Who by the way are the reason the Starjoks wanna kill us. They kinda hold some vendetta against them. I made your body copy a new ship which travels at Mach 881741.9999999..., 99.9999....% the speed of light. It can teleport, too. Go find the rest of your friends and go to Tatooine!" I swear Tatooine is from Star Wars. I gotta find Shino, Sam, Jack, and Shirley. ===1 hour of boring flying later=== "I cannot teleport too far so I am teleporting to Alpha Centauri. I will get really tired and faint if I do." I say. I landed on a planet called Vulcan, which by the ways is not a volcano wonderland. Or should I say, Vulcano! We set up camp. "So, guys let's talk about our backstories." Shirley said. Shirley started. "I was from a wealthy family. Thing is, my parents were abusive. I was kicked out from my house, but 2 weeks after I woke up in a hospital bed. Diether approached me with Jack and Sam by his side. There, I joined." Jack was next. "I was a young hacker. I hacked into Diether's complex accidentally, I teleported, then yeah. I met Sam." Sam was next. "So, I was killing ninjas and a pirate bat-- Fine I won't use that. My mom died of cancer when I was 3. My father is a soldier who fought in Afghanistan. Eventually, he learned of time travelling. He allowed me to join and we promised that we would fight for world peace." "A noble thing to do, Sam." Jack said. "Thank you." Sam said. While he seemed to be normal, I could tell he was grateful. "So, James your next." Shirley said. "Oh yeah. So when I was young my parents died in a car crash. I grew up on books. I was taken into a public school. I went into M.I.T after some time at an early age. I graduated, and took some time off. I got an IQ of 170, but the supercomputer in my hospital room said it is 190, which is from my superhumanness. So after I graduated, I went to the time travelling thing." "Shino?" I asked. "... I was from a normal family." I noticed she spoke sadly and slowly. "My town in North Dakota was attacked by a terrorist. He almost killed my family, but the knife he threw...." She suddenly sounded very depressed. "I caught it and...." I saw tears falling down. "Stabbed him. And killed him. My town treated me as a hero, but deep down I was stressed. I didn't care about the congratulations. I ignored them. I was 12 at this time. My parents were grateful... But they were murdered by an assassin." She broke down. "I joined the time travelers." She put her head on my chest. I couldn't resist so I hugged her. "I am so sorry Shino." Shirley said. "What I want to do is to find the killer and make him pay." "Don't worry, we'll find him." I told Shino, though I was a bit uncertain. I got this weird feeling. The shock hit me. CHAPTER 12 Echo gave me a paper. "The names of dead teams will appear here." Kappa, Lambda, and Mu were on it. A blast shook the room. Echo looked at the hole in the wall. "A thousand Starjoks are en route to us." "Woah, how'd you know?" I asked. "3D vision." He replied. Cool. I turned into the strongest tank I could imagine. Its called the "Blue Whale" and is one of the biggest tanks ever made, its almost a fortress. ===5 minutes later=== "Their here!" Sam shouted. After a few minutes of fighting, more came. Thousands. This was clearly a losing war. We saw a yellow streak of light. Jesse came back. "I was brainwashed. I will fight for you, James, Echo, and all of you. I deserve to die, after killing my own friends." She made lots of Starjoks explode. Prism? She was also shooting with her Magnum, while many clenched their stomachs. Disease controlling? Woah she is powerful. She was eventually overrun, then I looked at the paper from the inside of the tank. Iota was forming on it. She was a hero, I thought. I rolled over the Starjoks. There was too much. I turned into the future jet, then everyone went in. I flew up in the sky, while shooting many Starjoks. We flew away. I flew into space, and we all set our time travel to 1986 because we just received a message from Jason saying we need to go to that era. We saw the Time Matrix. CHAPTER 11 Admeer brought out a chain connected to a ball. He tried to smash Sam, but he stopped it. He punched the ball to try and break. It didn't break, but there was a crack. "Oww... That kinda hurt-- Nevermind." Sam said. I saw Jack rewire a gun emplacement near us. It shot Admeer, but I guess his armor was strong. Shirley developed a new Marker, Combustion. She set Admeer on fire. Shino kept firing a him, no damage. The battle got heated up after a short while, with Sam blacking out, Jack breaking his wrist, Shirley got hit with the ball, and Shino broke her chin. The ball hit me with full force, and I got knocked back to the wall. I felt broken bones everywhere. When the ball hit me again, it got deflected. Whaaaaa? The ball cracked even more and just.. broke. I felt a surge of energy. I couldn't control myself. I suddenly rushed to Admeer. He gasped in shock. He brought out his gun and started shooting me. The bullets all deflected. I got his gun, cracked it in half, then hit him. I repeatedly punched him. He groaned in pain as I cracked his neck. He dissolved into the wind. Shino, Jack, and Shirley stared at me in shock. Sam eventually woke up, I realized he faked fainting. I remember him telling me a strategy like that. "Dude... That was cool!" I heard him exclaim. Jack made a makeshift cast. "I can heal people!" Shirley suddenly shouted. She healed me, Sam, Jack, Shirley, and herself. New Marker. We heard the cock of a gun. "Hello. I'm Jesse. My Markers are 3D sight, Telekinesis, and Radiation-Controlling. We have 3 other members, Sarah, Zero, and Hunter. We are currently at year 2017, we are from 2498, but we could fit in any year. She started shooting us, I turned into the invincible metal(Which I realized is graphene, the hardest material.) I blocked all the bullets, but my skin was badly heating up. CHAPTER 10 "Urghh.. I hate this stomach ache thing." He said. I have the power of controlling sicknesses, and magnetism. I got my gun out. "Woah Jesse! There are no Starjoks now, were in a safe timeline remem--" I shot. The 3 others got out their weapons. Hmph. This will be easier than I thought. I shot her. The one beside her got shot by me. "Hector, you were a good friend. Bye." I said. I shot him. Barticus shall rule. ============== After searching around Venus, we found the hunter named Kiryt. "Surprise, dude." I said, before.... Freezing him? New marker I guess. After that, me and the rest of Gamma suddenly went into the Time Matrix. "Now tell me. Do you honestly trust Diether?" Jason asked us. "No, not really." I replied. "You shouldn't. I'll be your leader. He is a traitor, he is working with the Starjoks. I have clear video evidence and--" Jack interrupted. "I got mind reading way before any of you guys even got your first Marker. I read Diether's mind. Yeah, what Jason said is true." "Oh. Ok." Shirley said. "Guys, you need to go back to 2017. "Dude, tell me why." "Fine. The Starjoks want us to help them. Were the FBI." That made me stop. "I won't tell you." I said. "Or else." "I can break you in half." He chuckled. "What can a puny boy like you do?" "This." I removed my blindfold after freezing off what was ever tying me up. Agent Robert was going to talk into his walkie-talkie. I punched him. I heard a broken rib. Shino, Sam, Jack, and Shirley ran into the room. "James. Let's go!" Shino shouted. "Stop." A guy said. "I am General Admeer of the Starjoks. Stop right there." CHAPTER 9 James was shot 5 times. 2 in his stomach area, but it didn't hit any organs. One in his shoulder blade, one in his hand, and one in his... Well, his chest. His heart wasn't hit, but here is the weird thing. James wasn't shot. I think its a marker, his skin acted as a bulletproof vest which absorbed the bullets(Yes, the bullets got absorbed into his skin) and the only injuries he suffered was a broken arm, a fractured wrist, and 2 broken ribs. There was no hemorrhage, which was weird. No skin wounds either. Dennis, who is from Zeta, knows some stuff about injuries so he is taking care of James. Gordon, if you are wondering, was less lucky. He has very severe injuries. Using tech from this world, he was brought to a hospital. He should be out in a few days. By the ways, another one of my Markers has surfaced. Same with Sam. Shirley and Jack will develop this any time soon. James also probably got this along with his skin protection. Telekineses. Shirley and Jack also got new Markers. Infrared vision and Electric current directing respectively. I don't know who shot them, which is what Zeta and us are gonna do. Jack hacked into the holograms files. "I hacked into their sources. I learned some pretty interesting stuff. First off, the holograms's actual "human" leaders are aliens from a different planet, so its not murder if we kill them. They are called Starjoks.(J is pronounced y.) Second, I found some culprits to who shot Gordon and James. They have weird names. Third, I used a program to do elimination and I found three people who could've shot James and Gordon. Pietyr, Kiryt, and Kjoklis. Fourth, Pietyr and Kyoklis are in a different timeline, according to the most recent log. Kiryt is the one who shot James and Gordon." "Woah, bro. So where exactly is Kiryt?" The leader of Zeta, Yeakovich asked(His Marker is flight.) "South Peninsula of Vulcan." "What?" "On Venus." "So we take the space travel train, then we'll be there in 3 hours." Ok, the plan is set. ====30 minutes later==== Himiru is Planet X. So it is true. We passed Pluto. It looked a bit more blue, because the terraforming thing used changed the ice of Pluto. Neptune had 3 black spots and a lot of grey platforms all around it. Cities, I thought. Uranus(Only Sam laughed at that name.) was the same as before, only with those grey dots and a big message flashed: "Teleportation technology coming in: 09 months, 29 days, 23 hours, 48 minutes, 20 seconds." Saturn was a lot more majestic. There was a big space station above it. There were grey dots again. Titan was blue and green, its colonized. Jupiter was really big. In fact, we passed through it. I couldn't get a good glimpse of it though. Mars was blue, green, and red. Terraformed. Earth... Our home. I saw bridges connecting every continent. Earth occasionally disappeared. They made the whole planet invisible. Earth looked... Well, much more beautiful than now. Pollution is gone. I saw Mercury in the distance. It was white, after analyzing it, I found out it was special glass. We arrived on Venus. Green and blue. When we got down, we got out of the spaceport. Suddenly, 8 holograms and 2 hunter Starjoks appeared. We beat them all, but a lot more, maybe 100, appeared. Suddenly, a jet shooting blue lasers and red lasers being fired from a different part of the jet appeared. All of the Starjoks turned into dust and evaporated. "Yeah, I see. CHAPTER 8 "Sup guys." I heard Sam say. "Hi, James. I retrieved the page here." Shino said. Each one of us would get new powers as time goes on, so I'm not stuck with only transforming into vehicles. Page 99. Jason said that soon we will all develop powers, and he gave me some pages from different eras. 67,59,34,57, and 45. Apparently these pages are part of a 100 page coded book, something like the Voynich Manuscript. When we got out of the Time Matrix(The white thing) we saw.... Wait.... Whaaaaaa? It looked cold, but it wasn't. I looked for a date somewhere. Finally, I saw one. "459873 A.D. Whoa, we did a lot guys." I said. There was a banner which said "Welcome to Pluto! Hyperspeed train to Himiburu coming in 5 minutes. Hyperspeed train going to Neptune in 3 minutes." The numbers on the banner kept changing. Were on Pluto. Suddenly, 3 people tried ganging up on us. "Give us all your cash!" The leader said. They were all wearing suits I could guess where mecha suits. "Don't worry guys, leave this to me." Shino said, then she smiled. I saw a grey-cyan thing form under her wrists. Shotguns. So, that's what she developed. They were made not too long ago too. 5 years ago, in this era. She shot both of them, breaking the mecha suits of two gang members. "Well, still thinking of robbing us? We won't call the cops. Just stop robbing people." Shino said. The leader looked shocked. "Yeah! We'll just, uh, go!" Then he and his gang members ran away. "I have something to tell you guys." I said. "Shino and I have developed powers, you will too. These powers are called markers." I was able to find a fast fighter jet and copied it. Mach 350, 5/6 the speed of light. I transformed into it. If Himibiru is what I think it is, then we would reach it soon. Planet X, after Pluto. ====I love this jet... Wait 10 minutes later==== We are here, but some holograms beat us. I could tell that Shirley's first Marker has developed. She dodged every bullet shot and avoided all their punches. Jack's has developed too because he was able to hack into the holograms's program and terminated everything. Sam's was last, as he grew extra buff and started punching holograms with ease. I even saw him destroy a tank. Himibiru is ten times the size of Earth, and is a gas planet with land built by humans. I saw a group of five people, each with weapons. They looked hostile, so I turned into the fast jet, then started shooting them. One of them shot two lasers from his eyes. I dodged. Wait, their our allies! I radioed in Sam. "Their team Zeta!" He said. "Their leader just told me. He'll tell his team to stop, so radio in Shino, Shirley, and Jack!" "Ok." I told myself. I made a safe landing, and I found the guy shooting lasers. "Hello, I'm James Mackerton." "I'm Gordon Fonsley." I heard firing in the distance. "Well, this is one mess we need to clean up, friend." Gordon told me. He was about to the laser eye-Superman thing, when two guns fired. Gordon fell. One shot in the leg and the arm. "Who's there?!" I shouted. "Me." A voice said, before I got shot five times. The Black Gunsman. (The Me a voice said cliche thing is getting overused I swear.) CHAPTER 7 Ok, so I am still hiding things. I have many secrets. I may have found out how to operate a time machine(Which is the watch) and went to the year 4298 A.D. There was a group of 9 people trying to destroy a line of tanks. The first 2 were already on fire. The tanks couldn't shoot them, because they were two close. They were also climbing the tanks. I didn't know who to help, but through spying, I could tell that they were criminals. I got out my gun, then shot each of their legs. It wouldn't kill them. It was a paralyzing bullet. I then revealed myself. There was a person that went out in the 3rd tank. Male, and he looked 30. He clamped a beefy hand behind my back. "Thanks, kid." He said in an accent I couldn't specify. "The Antartican government would be happy to reward you." The Antartican government?! So there are people here. "Hey, can I see that watch?" He asked. I didn't trust him at first, but there was a tone in his accent that made me want to show it. "Of course, sir." I said. "You're a time traveler?" He exclaimed. "How do you know, sir?" I asked. "I met one of your kind, he passed unfortunately trying to find page 46 here. I will give it to you along with something else." Me, him, and his squad(The ones in the tanks.) went to his house. The injured ones in the first two tanks are in the hospital now. He explained a lot. Even more than Diether. Apparently, Me, Shirley, Sam, Jack, and Shino weren't the only time travelers. There are 9 other groups, all with five except for one with six. Ours is Gamma. The others are Alpha, Beta, Delta, Esilon, Zeta, Eta, Theta, and Iota. Diether lied. Apparently, we also get special powers. At birth, the gods of time bless us with powers we will eventually get. The man, who's name is Jason, adds something to my watch. "Click the button here if you need help. We replicated your watch's technology and can travel through time." "Thanks, sir. Help me when you can." I said. This leads to now. They are all here, blowing up robots. But they aren't enough. Suddenly, the world became weird. Everything turned weird. My whole body felt weird. Wait, am I a tank? On my side, it said 19087 Tank. Future tank? Cool. I tried firing out. I saw a big robot mothership blow up. "Woah." I said. I willed myself to turn into a fighter jet. Little did I now that it was from the year 67398. I felt really fast. This jet flew at Mach 30! The armor was strong, and since I was a jet I didn't need a pilot or oxygen. I tried flying up. I reached space. I flew really fast, then I reached Mars. "Whaaaa?" I said. I willed myself to turn into a better jet. 251986. Mach 100. 100 times the speed of sound. "AWESOME!!!" I shouted. I reached Jupiter. I then remembered my mission. I flew back to Earth to test this boy's weapons. I fired laser guns. A plasma bomb was dropped on some robots. Signal is back. "Hello guys." I said. "James." Shino said. "We couldn't find you. Where are you?" "Oh, I took a stroll in space. This jet can fly at Mach 100!" "What? How?" "I can turn into vehicles!" I exclaimed. ===1 inconvenient hour of blowing robots up later=== I destroyed the robots all around the world. The main mothership is in Ohio. I destroyed that easily. CHAPTER6 When we came out of the time-thing while I was making fun out of our group's name. "So, right our group name is called Black Tigers? I like to call us the Fat Ligers. Our enemies are called the Holograms and the other one who Benjamin is from is called the Loch Lian? Well, they better change they're names into--" When we stepped out, what we saw was really... weird. There were buildings around us, this was a city I didn't know about. The building are really high-tech looking. Suddenly, a woman, maybe 30 years old, walked up to us. "Hi, I am your personal assistant. My name is Lucy, welcome to Antartica, 4598 AD." "Wait, I thought we were supposed to go to Rome?" I asked. "Well, the Black Tiger's scientist found out that lots of the pages of the book are after this. Antartica, America, and the Asian Union are the only continents left. 300 million people died. This era has reached the Technological Singularity." "Antartica is habited?!Wait didn't they say it would happen much sooner?" I asked. "Scientist Ray Tekker delayed it, but alas. It has come." "What should we do then?" Sam asked. "The robots had a signal which made them turn against humans. The humans have tried to turn it back, but failed due to most of their technology being shut down. They salvaged some computers that could very well turn the tide. We need you to protect the facility they are in, I'll give you the coordinates again. But first, this city is called Ross City, where the supposed final battle until Antartica is going to happen. If the robots win, Antartica will be lost. Ross City is Antartica's capital. I got you weapon upgrades to make your weapons... around 700x stronger which could defeat the robots." "That was a lot, when will the fight happen?" "Tomorrow." ===Time Skip: Next Day, 3 hours after the battle started=== I blasted a robot, while slashing a few more with Dash. "How are you guys holding up?" I talk into my communication radio. "Fine." Sam said. "Could use a little help on uhh... East Ross City Gate." Jack said. "On my way." Shirley said. "Couldn't be much better, I have a wound on my freaking leg." Shino said. "That's an oxymoron." I said. "Sup guys!!!" A new voice in the com radio said. "Benigner, give me the radio." I heard... Benjamin say. "Oh hi Benjamin." "We're assisting you, me and my team. We brought a few weapons from before the war happened. A hundred T-700000 Nukes, and a few fighter jets that travel at Mach 30." The radio was cut off, followed by a huge, I mean HUGE, explosion. CHAPTER 5 "Since when did you get a tank?" I asked Shirley. "Oh I brought one." "Anyways, thanks for helping us Benjamin." Benjamin is a time traveler. Apparently, there are three groups trying to finish the puzzle, which is a coded book. We are 1 group, Benjamin is a rebel from another group, and our main enemy is a really big group that uses holograms to attack us, the weapons they use are real though. "No, don't thank me." Benjamin said. We arrived in the cave, when suddenly there was a big blast. I brought out Dash. "Who's there?" Suddenly, there were guns firing. "Its them!" Sam shouted. Shirley crushed them with her tank, but it was already getting really badly damaged. Sam and Shino were punching them. I passed my duct tape to Jack, who distracted them. The holograms were approaching faster, so I started hitting them with my sword. There were even some actual humans, who Benjamin dealt with. Oh yeah, and I forgot to say that he was a soldier in Afghanistan, so he is really strong. I saw him beating up some people. "Sam, Shino, keep punching them. Don't use your guns!" Using my gun would be risky. The bullets are special and we can't risk teaching the cavemen how to make super bullets, that would suck. After we defeated all of them, Benjamin got something from the leader of them, and it was a key. Deeper in the cave, there was a piece of firewood. I got it and kept it. ===Time Skip: I did this because the next 3 quests are really boring=== "Umm... whats a door doing here?" I asked. Jack showed us a writing on the wall he found. It showed a box, with a dot somewhere. "Hmm... The dot is near the north-east of the box." I said. After a few minutes of analyzing, I thought of something. "A scale." I said. I got out Dash and hit the part of the door where the point is on the drawing. There was a lock there. I got out the key and I unlocked the door. There were some robots there(From the future, I guess.) which I destroyed. I found a book page, which I kept. On the bottom left, there was a page number. "89", it said. ===Time Skip=== "I must go, our group has a different way of time travelling. Bye, for now." Benjamin said. "Thank you." Shino said. My phone rang again. CHAPTER 4 I could tell I was tied to a chair. "So..." I said. "Give me the watch and I'll let you go." I went with the obvious decision and said "Yeah sure go ahead just please don't kill me." Suddenly everything turned white. I looked around and saw Shino, Jack, Sam, and Shirley. "Umm... guys?" I said. "Were time travelling. I did this to pick up some weapons from the year 6798." Sam said. "This would usually take a few minutes, but now we have half an hour. Shino is badly injured." I looked in my backpack for anything that could help. "Umm... James, can I borrow your computer?" Jack asked. "Yeah sure, why?" "Umm.. I know this program which, uhh, has lots of information. I once saw umm a recipe for a medicine. It should work, I think." "Ok" I gave the computer to him. I whispered to Shirley "Why does Jack sound so nervous?" "Oh, he is nervous to strangers. But when he's friends with you, he stops being nervous." I looked in my backpack again. I remember an old recipe my mom made for my dad when he was in a war. He was shot, so mom made this for him. I got the ingredients in the complex. I brought out a bowl, put a bayleef, orange pulp, and a bit ginseng. I then crushed it then added water from a bottle of water. I then let Shino drink it. "Thi-This is... a relief." Shino said. "Wha-What did you give me?" "Herbal medicine to treat gun wounds." Sam wrapped her wound in a cloth. "There. Now it will heal soon." "James... Sam... Thank you." "You're welcome." I said. "Sorry for throwing a fit on you." Shino said. ===Some time later=== "We're... here???" I looked around. I saw caves and people who looked like cavemen. My phone rang. Oh and it doesn't need signal. I answered it. "Hello?" "Hi. I am your personal assistant. I was made to help you. You have 5 quests here. So, for your first quest, you must go and steal the first firewood. I will send you the coordinates." "Ok." I hanged up. "Any of you know the coordinates?" They all said no. "Wait, I can tell the coordinates if I borrow your computer. Umm... But we need a stable connection. Shirley knows how to make one. It would take some time though." "So... we have to guess the location because I was texted by that person that we don't have much time because it only appears in a certain part of the day. CHAPTER 3 "Umm... James what weapon do you wanna use?" Samuel asked. I looked at a choice of a bunch of guns, swords, duct tape(Whaaaaaa?), toilet paper(Double Whaaaaa?), and a bunch of other stuff. "Samuel--" "Call me Sam." "Sam, what weapon do you use?" He coughed a bit. "An old torpedo launcher." I was weirded out. "How the heck do you carry a freaking rocket launcher all around the place and not be seen?" He got out a coin, then flipped it. It became a torpedo launcher. "All our weapons can do this." I got a sword with the weirdest grip. "Ah, that's a ninja-pirate katana-cutlass." Sam said. "So you apparently you solved that conflict." I then put it inside my backpack, which it then retracted into a metal-box the size of a battery. I got a gun, which was as big as my PC, and asked what it was. "A futuristic laser gun. It also can fire 500 bullets in one minute. You can switch it to the bullet form by flicking this button." He flicked the red button, which then turned blue. "You know, I was planning to use this." "Cool. Love this gun, I'll use this, the sword, the duct tape(Why not?), and.... Wait is that my laptop?" I ran to my laptop, got it, then it retracted into a small camera. The gun retracted into a wallet, then the duct tape became... well, duct tape. "Also, James, wear this." He gave me a watch. "If you lose any of your weapons, it will teleport it back to you. Future tech stuff, mate." "Ready to revolt, James?" "Sure!" "So, because of our loss of members, the guards are robots. They were re-programmed by Jack to lie to Diether. We have a few allies in the complex, they will cover us." ===Time Skip=== We all met downstairs. "Ready?" Shirley asked. "Heck yeah." I said. "I have disabled the electric fences." Jack said. The guards who were gonna help us escaped allowed us to leave. We escaped without doing anything... "Good job." We heard a voice. I got out Dash(My katana-cutlass) and turned behind. It was Diether. "You will prove useful later. Come back, you won't be slaves. That was a fake document from our enemies." I put Dash back. "Well, that failed." Shino said. We heard a gun fire. I got my weapon out and shouted "Who's there?!" "Me. And them." I heard a voice say. A few more shots fired. I heard a scream. Shino was shot. I turned to her. An arm wound, 1 cm wide. I put her arms on me and Sam's shoulders. We put Shino down, where Jack carried her back in. "Jack disabled most of the defenses!" Shirley shouted. She ran to the main control hub.(Or I thought it was) It was just me, Sam, Diether, and 4 guards. Sam launched a rocket. I assumed it was a warning shot. I ran to the source of the gun fire. I got out Dash again and destroyed some of the enemy gunmens's guns. I then duct taped them(I knew it would have a use!) until a big, muscular guy punched me in the face. I blacked out. CHAPTER 2 I woke up soon after. I was tied to a bed. What was around looked like some hospital. I saw Diether, John, Shino, and Shen. "Where is Jack?" I asked." I saw Shino get out a small case. It immediately became a sniper I couldn't identify. "Shut up or else." She said. "Heh. Wouldn't shoot me, would you, pretty?" I said. She turned super red and aimed the gun at me. Diether raised his hand. "You injured Jack. Your knife hit him." I thought it distracted him... "Well, sorry. But you guys tried to kill me!" "It was a tranquilizing syringe." "Whatever. What are your names?" Diether raised his head. "Why are you asking?" "Problem?" I said. Each of them said their names. I examined their breathing patterns. John and Shen's breathing was weird. I knew they were lying. "John, Shen. Real names?" "What are you talking about?" They said in unison. "You are lying." I said. "You are smart, kid." Diether said. "They're names are Samuel and Shirley." They nodded their heads. "Ok, when will you let me go?" I asked. "Now." Diether said. The ties were removed. Instead of punching them, I said "Why did you kidnap me? Where is my house? GIVE ME MY LAPTOP BACK!" "I'll answer the first two. We need help. We don't have much members after some tragically died or left. We have 19, compared to the 68 ones before. 20, now including you. Second your house is safe. All contents are safe too." I looked out the window. "So... what will I be doing?" "Time travelling." Diether said. "Whaaaaa?" I said." "You have 5 things to do in one timeplace. Which is what we call a "sector" of time. Our group is called the Trekkers. An accident, mainly a fire, killed most of our members. The others left. We started last month." "Why are we doing this?" I asked. "We have enemies. They most probably caused the fire. When you do the 5 things, you get a puzzle piece. Whoever finishes the puzzle first will get--" "A million dollars?" I asked. "No, we have a lot of money alre--" "A futuristic Windows 1,000,000?" I asked. "The next 1000 Star Wars movies?" "Umm... no. We win the Secret of the Universe. It reveals if there is another universe. Also, we get powers." I'm an Astronomy addict. He must've known that. "Do you... know my parents?" "Yes. We will cover your disappearance. Get a good rest. Tomorrow, we head to the Stone Age." I walked out the room. I saw Jack in the hallway. "Sorry, dude." I said. "Nah, its fine. Nothing serious. Should heal tomorrow." I walked next to Shino. "Hi." I told her. "Don't touch me. If you do--" "Woah. Calm down." "Fine." She looked away. "Should we revolt? Jack is a hacker and he found out that we will be slaves by hacking into the systems." Shino said. "That sucks." I thought about it for a while. Diether kidnapped me. Slaves? Nope, not up for it. "Yes. Tonight. I can't stand slavery." I sat down. "Get the pun?" I asked Shino. Ok, it'll start. Be careful though, mai speelin sax. This will be a short chapter, because it is an intro. CHAPTER 1 Hello. I am James Makerton, 17 years old, American, and IQ 170. This started... I can't say last year, yesterday, or any other time modifier. I'm a time traveler. So, here is how it starts. One day, I was just chillaxing. I opened my computer to play some video games, when suddenly I got an e-mail. It said To: [email protected] From: [email protected] 5 minutes. I thought "Whaaaaat?" Then suddenly I remembered something my parents told me before they died. "5 minutes. Good luck. You will be on a journey. Avenge us." I was weirded out by this. But I just sat down got some food from the fridge, then 5 minutes later, the house spun. "Hello." I heard a voice say. "I am Diether. These people with me are John, Jack, Shen, and Shino." "Hi." I said. There was 1 grown man and 4 15-17 year olds. Honestly, I wasn't too shy. I saw a girl, probably Shino, get out a syringe and throw it at me. I dodged it. I noticed only Diether and Shino were standing where I was looking. I got out of the tie that was tying me up with a trick I learned. I kicked my leg to the right, hitting another girl. Probably Shen. I got out a knife I had in my pocket then thrust it to my right, scaring Jack. I then turned to my back then wrestled John. I then threw the knife at Diether. He dodged it and I saw it hit the wall. This is my house? Oh, teleportation. These people are probably magicians or something. While Diether wasn't looking I kicked him. He caught my foot and threw me upwards. I hit my head and blacked out. (I haven't really planned anything. This is why this chapter was short. Anyways so next chapter tom or I dunno.
