So I'm going fishing with my dad and brothers today, but I've been having really conflicting feelings about it. On the one hand, I want to participate. On the other hand, as a vegetarian, I don't want to act hypocritically -- not because anyone else cares, I just want to feel confident in my own decisions.

I went vegetarian originally because I can't stand the way we produce our meat, as an act of protest I guess. I don't necessarily have a problem with eating meat itself. That said, would it be totally hypocritical to go fishing? Also, since anything we catch we will invariably keep and eat (or my family will anyways), if I catch something I feel I will be complicit in the death of this animal, which makes me responsible for making sure that doesn't go to waste, i.e. eating it.

There's just a lot of moral grey area here and I would appreciate any thoughts.

	I was always was attached to Gengar. In the originals, ghosts always seemed so cool to me, and I liked him from the begining of the first episode of pokemon where Ash watches the battle between Nidorino and Gengar . [Read more]
