We all know about the fountain in the center of Emera Town. A quote from the Pokeheroes wiki says this, "Every day, you can throw a 100 PokéDollar coin into the fountain and try your luck with triggering different events for the day." Emera Fountain Wiki Page Summarizing the wiki page, you toss 100 Pokedollar into the fountain, and one of the following effects will occur for the entire day: increased breeding chance, slightly increased and increased shiny chance, increased mega-able chance, and nothing. What is particularly interesting, is the messages that show up. Let's discuss each one real quick. Emera Fountain Message Breakdown (How the effect is granted will be discussed in a later segment) Show

1. Your coin and the one next to
it look so similar! (Slightly increased breeding chance) -
This message strikes me as comical since you would expect 100
Pokedollar coins to look alike. However, this could possibly
indicate that when you tossed in the coin, the water created an
illusion, and when you looked to try and spot your coin, you got
confused by yours and the one next to it.
2. Your coin is shining bright in the water! (Slightly increased shiny chance) This message is fairly simple, your coin shines bright in the water. That's it. 3. Your coin is shining much brighter than all the other coins! (Increased shiny chance) Same as above, with maybe the exception that your 100 Pokedollar coin was fairly new. 4. Your coin looks much larger than the all others! (Increased mega-able chance) This message can also be explained by Snell's Law of Refraction, which explains why objects may seem bigger underwater than in real life. 5. Where did it go? (Nothing happened) There are too many coins in the fountain! 6. Your lucky number today is __ (Nothing happened) Maybe you decided to count how many coins are in the fountain, or some other random object. Still, this leads to a question: What if the number really is lucky? Is it how many eggs in your chain for your shiny to hatch, how many interactions to make, etc. 7. Have a great day! (Nothing happened) A nice passerby wished you a great day! Unless the fountain is sentient.... 8.Did you know that coins from the fountain are donated to charity on a regular basis? You have done a good deed! (Nothing happened) You met the person who gathers up the coins from the fountain! Gee, that took a while to type... Anyways, onto how the fountain grants those special effects. Show

It is important to mention that you
can also throw money into the fountain in Cerulean City and
Vermillion City in other Pokemon games. But we are not here to talk
about that. When looking at the fountain from the Town page, you
can see three ornaments that may seem a bit unique. A yellow
crystal, two Luvdisc, and two Alomomola. The yellow crystal does
partially resemble a Griseous Orb which is used to start the
Giratina Quest in the Ancient Cave, but it is more likely that it
is just a decoration and the same for the Luvdisc. The Alomomola,
are another thing.
If you look at the official Alomomola Dex entry, it says, "Fishermen take them along on long voyages, because if you have an Alomomola with you, there’ll be no need for a doctor or medicine.". And if you look at the Pokeheroes Dex entry, you get, "The special membrane enveloping Alomomola has the ability to heal wounds." From these dex entries, you can tell that the Alomomola have some type of healing power. Now from the dex entries we can derive that alomomola could cure/heal most common ailments and injuries. However, something else is at play at the fountain. Whoever built the fountain was able to do one of two things: (A) Harness the essence of the Alomomola and increase its potency to other regions, or (B) Capture two Alomomola and genetically modify them to have their powers increased, and they reside in the fountain. Whatever the option, the healing powers of the Alomomola/the Alomomola essence went from simply healing ailments and injuries, to changing the genetic code of pokemon (to make them shiny), or strengthening their growth and reproduction rates. All of it naturally, without contact, and temporarily. Best of all, the Pokemon comes out unharmed by the next day! Finally, let us quickly talk about the interesting species of pokemon living in the Emera Fountain, the Hippopotain! Show
hidden content
First thing to look at about this
pokemon is one of the lines in the event announcement (which can be
found by scrolling down on the News Page) which says, "A group of
Hippopotas loves it so much that they even mutated into a special
Water-typed species over time!" This tells us that the sand-loving
Hippopotas somehow came to love hanging out by the water-filled
fountain. There is no sand in the area if you look at the Town Art.
Now, I think that the term mutated may be incorrect.
Instead, I think that the Hippopotas evolved into the
Hippopotain over time. Some of the changes that happened during
evolution involved a stone-styled camouflage and the ability to
store and expel water. Otherwise, they grant no special effects;
they just live there!
Anyways, that is it for my theory about some of the story behind the strange Emera Fountain! Enjoy! [Read more] |

There is magic all around... Unique characters populate the town... And plenty of pokemon wander the world... Emera is definitely hiding some secrets, and I have some theories about what Emera has in store for us! - I will be posting my theories about Emera Town and its surroundings in this thread, and you can too! You can post your own theories, contradictions, questions, and whatever else comes into your mind! DISCLAIMER: This thread is only for theories, and is in no way a guide to the site. The reason for my absence is due to me having to go to multiple doctor appointments. About 6 months ago, an early stage of melanoma (dangerous and sometimes deadly skin cancer) was discovered on my chest. I underwent two surgeries to get rid of it, and now I am undergoing multiple treatments to heal the scar and area around said scar. So far, I have had lotions, steroid shots, and laser treatment. Sadly, the doctor says that the treatment is not ending anytime soon. And because of the first melanoma, there is a chance of there being other melanomas, so I have to keep an eye on that. i need to stop being all sad and scared. I should have fun. Bye! [Read more] |

Couple of nights ago, I was lying down in bed reading Feet of Clay by Terry Pratchett (check him out if you can, amazing books! Warning: there is some language and mature jokes). All of a sudden, I feel as if a hand is tickling my feet. Which would have been impossible, as my feet were tucked in a corner (no, it was not my sister, she was asleep). I disregarded it at first, thinking it was just some sensory overload, but I gave up that idea when my socks started being pulled off my feet! Paralyzed with confusion and mild fear, all I could do was sit there and hope that nothing would go wrong. At the end of that, my socks were on the floor, my feet were cold, and my nerves were all over the place. Welp. [Read more] |

My personal life has been full of stress and anxiety, so I was away in Washington state for a week and a half. Fortunately, school is finishing up, so hopefully, I will feel better now. I will talk about Washington later, but I have to say, it is a BEAUTIFUL state! Today's update: Updated the "Fishing for a thousand" challenge on my profile (Tentacool is currently in the lead with 153 specimens). Got me a Hoopa egg and a Tapu Koko egg. Fishing was boring, with the most exciting catch being an Ultra Ball. Currently on quest no. 4 for the Raylong Hunt. Also somehow was able to trade a bunch of gems for a Kyogre! Otherwise, tired like I don't know what, desperately trying to finish my finals, and I have no clue how in the world why my neighbor's dog is eating the dirt in my flower pots!!! Be back soon to talk about Washington state, gotta go deal with a hungry golden retriever puppy. [Read more] |

Very strange fishing experience at Emera Beach. Somehow, I only managed to catch Magikarp, Tentacool, and Lanturn?! I spent almost all of my energy, and then on my last 5%, caught a Shiny Gyarados! Otherwise, boring day again. And it is supposed to rain tomorrow. *sigh* [Read more] |

Anyways, today I was able to hatch a Passimian, Maractus, Pincurchin, and a Sandygast. Today's fishing experience was limited due to an unexpected thunderstorm. Nevertheless, I did get some nice catches. I got one of the following: Retro Tentacool, Skrelp, Seadra, Relic Copper, Carvanha, Azurill, Poliwhirl, Pearl, Bruxish, Helix Fossil, Marill, Corphish, and Crabrawler. However, these specimens I got a little bit more of: x2 Goldeens, x2 Remoraids, x2 Feebas, x2 Staryu, x2 Wishiwashi, x13 Tentacool, and x19 Magikarp. I was able to win a Raylong, Shiny Sableye, and a mega able Sableye at some auctions. And of course, a Munchlax came by the Honey Tree. On a worse note, I wasted EVEN MORE money on useless things, so now I am below 4,000 PokeDollar from ridiculous decisions. Hopefully the Pokemon gods will be more nice with me in days to come. I am attempting to fish for 1,000 of a species at Emera Beach, and I wanted to put up a list of my progress on my profile. However, I am also considering possibly allowing other users to possibly request a trade from the list. So the two questions are: 1. Would it be legal for me to place a list of my fishing box contents on my profile? 2. If yes, am I allowed to offer the pokemon as possible trades to users who want a pokemon on the list? (Example: If you would like a pokemon from this list, PM me and we can possibly negotiate a deal) I do not know whether that would be breaking the advertising rule or not. Help? Thank you. I just lost just over 13,000 PokeDollar in less than 3 hours. How? Let me tell you. I started off by buying a Level 26 Flaaffy for 3,001 PokeDollar without knowing that I already had a Level 28 Flaffy. Then I lost about 5,000 while attempting to finish the Royal Tunnel. You can guess how that went. Then I used another 4,000 on meals at Los Seashellos Restaurant (that at least somewhat paid off). Then, I spent around 1,750 PokeDollar trying to buy Gems and a Cosmog trade. Now I am sitting at 17,000 PokeDollar, desperately clicking away. [Read more] |

Game Center fails (and wins if that ever happens). 4. Eventful moments on Pokeheroes. 5. Maybe something from my life. 6. And whatever else pops into my strange mind. Enjoy! *sigh* I oofed. In my opinion, Hangman and Treasure Hunt are my least favorite. I have no knowledge in the slightest about the Pokemon and Pokeheroes world, so I am always clueless. And for Treasure Hunt, the odds are against me no matter what. The Lottery, Raffle, and Golden Slot are all decent, since I don't waste too many Game Chips, and at least I might get some type of result. Concentration is my favorite, though it would be nice to have some new prizes. Since I got all of the retro eggs, I just do it to get some extra Game Chips. It usually works out pretty well! One Friday morning, I was lying down in my bed, half-asleep. I did not want to wake up, so I was staring at my wall for no reason whatsoever. Suddenly, some force rammed the other side of my bed, akin to an ATV driving into my bed at 15 miles per hour (this left a dent in my wall). I turned over in shock and found that my alarm clock was in the middle of the room, facing the window, even though it was supposed to be on a bedstand five feet away facing the closet. Keep in mind, my two old cats were downstairs with my sister, and my parents were asleep. So what was it? I have no clue! That is my story... for now :) New experiences will be reported whenever I get them. You can post too! [Read more] |
