Taranza attempts to tell the human. "Um... we woke up in this strange place, and then we found these odd containers. We opened them, only to find these weird creatures. What are they, and who are you?" he asks. He soon turns to Ralts and Weedle, thanking them. Referring to Ralts, Taranza tells him "I'm going to name you NESP." Now referring to Weedle, Taranza says "I'm going to name you Pierce." Pierce does the Weedle equivalent of a smile, and NESP lets out a happy "Ralts!" They both seem to like their nicknames.
