Yeah, so they can catch more then 1 "useless" (in this case) Pokemon for them. They don´t want to trade for the Pokemon they need, they want to catch it themselves, being able to catch more than one, doesn´t change anything in that matter, I´m sorry. ^^

So, I actually agree with OP.
I mean, I personally don´t have that desire, but I´m pretty sure, there are people out there, that want to collect every Pokemon on PH with their OT. I mean it´s a challenge :)

Alltough, you need to find a good balance for that "Refresh of the Daily"-List, so that it makes it do-able for everyone but not that overpowered, like buying 15 of them a day. Or maybe just one refresh per day. Something like that.
But it is not a bad idea, imo. ^^

At least, the way I see it, a partner should be _the_ Pokemon, that is special to you!
And that´s while I think, this would be a real fun idea, I don´t think you should be able to change your partner.
You should have to really think about setting _that_ one Pokemon your Partner :3

But, to be honest, you don´t need Event Passes for hunting an Event. You can just normally breed the breedable ones.
Yes, it takes time and with Event Pass it goes quicker. But you can decide, do you want it to go quick or do you have the patience to wait?
I personally would wait instead of buying the Event Pass and so I do think ... if there´s enough people that want it to go quick, well then, their problem.
You don´t need that Event Pass to get a breedable Event Shiny.

Only exceptions I see with this is the Event Legendaries and on that part I think, that Event Pass for these should be in place, because these should be kept rare.
And if the price keeps people from hunting it, then great, the Pokemon is more rare.
