"Oh, you did not, Jules...Spellmaker? Hadrian! Yeah don't blame me I was never good at wordplays~" Suvansh says in awe, as he wondered what he exactly meant by it. And how he had managed to do it. Suvansh for one had never tried spellcasting, though yes it was no quantum science. "So what's it done yet?! Found anyone new?" He asks though he doubted it, as Jules' current state of excitement gave an idea that he had pretty much just had the Eureka moment, after a few many cups of coffee. "Oh also, have you heard the rumours?? A first-year Slytherin girl in the Great Hall today morning cast a patronus! A corporeal patronus. And not just that, it's actually a mythical creature, a Runespoor..." He says to Jules before he could answer. "We should keep an eye on her y'know~"

Name:
Jason Hill

Age:
17

Appearance:
District:
1

Preferred Weapon of Choice:
Trained with a ton of weapons, but is best with blades like swords and knives.

Personality:
Jason is the one rich pampered child who does not appreciate his wealth. He was pampered all life, but never appreciated any of it. And while grumpy to his family, he's a social butterfly at school, being really open to people. He is really good at masking his emotions.

Strengths:
He has been trained to be a career by his parents and is exceptional in hand-to-hand combat, sword fighting, and throwing knives. He has really good reflexes. He is smart, having paid a lot of attention at school, and remembering advice from his grandfather, who was a past victor, way back ago, he has some knowledge about the arena.

Weaknesses:
He has rarely missed a meal in his life, so he would be susceptible to hunger in the arena. He is going to miss a ton of stuff he took for granted. And while he was trained to be a career, he never liked the idea that he might have to kill a human someday, just for the bloodthirsty Capitol people's entertainment's sake.

Suvansh shook his head in mock dismay at Cassandra's groaning. "Oh you missed nothing important. Except the most boring arithmancy lecture in the world, if you chose it, and a prophecy from our dear old Mr. Sorting Hat!" He grinned at that, as if to knock it off as a joke, but his face just couldn't hold it, breaking down as fast as it was formed. "C'mon, it seems like you just reached here, you must need some rest. I'll have you catch up later. Want a chikki?" He asked, as he took out one of those nutty-sweet bars that he loved from his pocket.

Suvansh had a pretty expectable reaction to the sudden outburst of what seemed like gibberish to him. His eyes bulged out like a cartoon character, and he shrank so low that he could be stomped on easily! Only, that is, in his mind. Obviously, he wasn't a cartoon character, but a very real flesh and boned demigod. Though yes, mortal scientific laws made near no sense in the world he existed in, Suvansh specifically, did not have the luck of having the powers of shapeshifting and eyeball enlarging. Cat did not intimidate him but sure made him uncomfortable. And the following laughter was no ease in the embarrassment he was already facing. He nearly tripped backward, as she flopped to the ground back and again, but managed to smile and even chuckle soon after! Glancing at Alaparos now, he felt pity for the adult demigod. He had rarely seen Al in all his years of being at Camp Half-Blood and had no doubt that he was not acquainted with the sudden antics of their campers. As Al referred to the Hephestus cabin and the braces they made him, Suvansh couldn't help but feel a wee bit proud, as he did have some contribution in the designing of the contraption. He smiled back, and said, both to Al and Cat, who were nearest to him, "I don't suppose we have ever been formally introduced to each other, I am Suvansh. It's a pleasure to have your company!" And as much as a formality it seemed, it was quite true, with Al radiating a serene sense of calm and tranquility. As he said so, he turned just about necessary as to also face Quinn and DD, and gave them a slight tilt of his head, to include them into the conversation.

Suvansh did not know how tedious the next few days would get for him, with him unnecessarily volunteering to find out everyone with the patronus mentioned in the prophecy. Well, at least the professors were helpful, taking orders suggestions from him, and doing as he asked. He kept Jules updated on everything he was doing, and had him help him with some coordination too. It was, actually, a really massive job, to find out the patronus of EVERY single student at Hogwarts.
"The Patronus is a form of advanced magic which even the most qualified wizards can struggle with. Harry Potter was one of the youngest wizards to cast a corporeal Patronus, having been taught by Professor Lupin at the tender age of 13." Professor Brindlemore, the current Defence Against the Dark Arts professor told to him, when he approached her about arranging for students from every year to have lessons on the Patronus charm. This did not help his hopes, but couldn't give up. Not without trying. What if he got all of the names from elder students already, from the list of patronus' with the school? Surely, when the professor in higher years teach the charm, like it was taught to him, note down the patronus of each student! So, he searched about the lists, and found a few matches. Of course there was him, and Jules. But except them, there were very sketchy matches. For one, multiple people had their patronus as a snake. That could make stuff difficult... And as for the rest, there were no clear matches. At least, not recorded. Many students had failed to procure a corporeal patronus.
So well, nothing could be done, but to arrange for special classes for the younger students, and anyone with no patronus recorded. But as he feared and the professor confirmed, they could not expect anyone from year 1 or 2 to be able to cast a patronus, hence it would be a waste of time to even try.
With schedules made, and everything sorted, with multiple lessons in a single day, taken over by multiple professors, and not just the DADA professor, Suvansh drifted towards the Hufflepuff Common Room. Actually, according to Suvansh's calculations, with the present schedule, they could take up to months to find all the students. And God knows what to do about multiple people having the same patronus. He wanted Professor Mcgonagall to call for extra help in the form of Aurors, from the Ministry of Magic, especially Harry Potter, who he had met a few times already, who frequently visits Hogwarts as a guest lecturer for their DADA classes. But she refused so, not wanting the Ministry to interfere for some reason. It wasn't like she did not trust the Ministry, the Minister of Magic was literally the Hermione Granger, and Harry Potter being the head of the aurors. Something in her voice suggested that she did not want to alert them unnecessarily. As if student safety was a joke...
As he reached the common room, he noticed a familiar face, in the form of Cass, a fellow 7th year Hufflepuff, who he had noticed to be missing in the past days here at Hogwarts. "'Ello! Missed the train, didcha!?" He says, giving her a warm, welcoming smile.

[Everyone please make a post about how your character discovers their patronus, if they do so yet. You can use a classroom setup where one of the Professors, maybe DADA, maybe Charms, or Transfiguration, or literally any of them are holding a special class in a random classroom, explaining to them about patronuses, or they could discover it themselves and inform a professor or not whatever lol smth such. If they already know their patronus, and if it's in the school records too, please mention so in a post!]

On the day of the quest, Suvansh slept like a log. Didn't do any packing last night, and didn't wake up on time. A brother of his, Max, noticed and shook him awake. Suvansh yawned and grumpily started "What?" but recalled that he had to assemble for the quest soon and that he was yet to pack his stuff, so he hastily thanked him and sat up straight. He stretched about for a second, peeked at the time, and then looked over his possessions. According to what Max had said, he could steal about 15 minutes before having to go to the pine tree where all the quest goers had to assemble. So, he got working. He had his backpack, of course, his compact tool kit, the metal blob that was a fork yesterday, Fluff, a pair of extra clothes, a bottle of nectar, some ambrosia, and some snacks. Biscuits and so. And last but not the least, he took out the bunch of spectacle enhancements he had been working on. They weren't complete, but they had some utility, and they didn't take up much space either. So he plopped them into his bag, wore his best pair of shoes, which he had bought specifically for an adventure, like the quest would surely be. The prophecy mentioned something about winter, so he debated taking a jacket, but it was summer now, and it would take up a lot of space and weight, so he did not, but he did take a few other supplies, like mortal money, a bag of drachma, and other stuff.

He bid his siblings farewell, thanked em for all their well wishes, and went over running to the pine tree. "Ello- eek- sorry!! Are you okay??" He said, as he ran into Cataneme, who was introducing herself to Alaparos. I really gotta do something about my clumsiness~ He thought, as he gave Cataneme a hand, muttering again, "I am reallyy sorry!"

As he paid the cashier for the book, Suvansh notices Aurora and Emerson enter the shop. He debated about approaching her, but he just took his book with him and went back to Mehul, who was still browsing for a book. "So didcha find anything yet?"
"Ahh I can't decide what to take- help meeeee"
So Suvansh looked about the shelves and noticed a book, "You could try that one, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Special Edition. Seems interesting?"
"Mm maybe" Mehul said, as Suvansh reaches for it.

Around 7 am, Suvansh finally gave into his instincts and woke Mehul up. "Let's go to Hogsmeade!"
"What the- what time is it even?" Mehul asked, annoyed.
"Eh around 700 hours, get up already!"
"700 wha-" then he has a look at his clock, and after some protest, Mehul says, "Whatever, but we'll be having breakfast first thing, at the Three Broomsticks."
And in a few hours, there they were browsing through books at Tomes and Scrolls. Both of them, Suvansh and Mehul, were big nerds. And then, as he had thought about last night, Suvansh wanted to buy a book on animagi, and so he did.

Suvansh nodded at Jules' words wistfully. Destiny would be as it's written to be. It won't change however much they try. He didn't make anything off Jules' joke, he was an occlument, but not a good legiliment. He couldn't discern lies easily, especially if out of a very good friend. As he began to foster him a reply, he heard through the school loudspeakers, the loud and booming, yet calm voice of Professor Mcgonagall for everyone to assemble at the Great Hall yet again. Was it about the song? There never had been a day at Hogwarts for him when they had all the students assembled again at the Great Hall at night, not at all on the first day of school! Something wasn't quite right. He lazily got up from his bed, nudged for Jules to come, and went to the Great Hall.

After hearing the PrOpHeCy, he shifted nervously on his seat and glanced at Jules. Their suspicions had been confirmed, they were indeed talking about Patronuses, but the rest of it-
"The Rising Dark Lord Shall too appear in our school."
"There will be unpreventable deaths"
"Now even who emerges victorious I’m no longer sure….."
These concerned him greatly. And above it all, he wondered why did Mcgonagall actually think it was a good idea to gather about the ENTIRE school to hear this prophecy. Cause if anything, the students were just scared now. Nervous whispering was rampant around, even though there was more of curious questioning from the younger students about what a patronus is. Everyone surely had heard the verse about deaths right? He had to talk to Mcgonagall about it. He couldn't resist himself. He glanced at Jules as if wanting him to come with him, and got up from his seat and approached the end of the Hall, where they were proceeding to take away the Sorting Hat. "Professor?" he addressed to the Headmistress, "We need to talk- we need to find out who all in the school have a patronus as mentioned in the song, and we need to monitor, who could be the Rising Dark Lord! I want to help, professor, please." He might've been getting ahead of himself, as always, especially how the teachers would obviously not want to endanger students, and wouldn't want him "helping" them, but they did bring them together to hear the development. And if the years under fear of Voldemort had shown them anything, it was that teachers needed to trust the students. As an afterthought, he added, "My patronus is a dove, if you were wondering." He thought about telling her about Jules' patronus being a bear, but decided it was on him if he wanted to tell her that right now.

"Mhmmph" Suvansh mumbled thoughtfully. That was exactly what Suvansh had said to Jules back in the Great Hall. He mustn't really have been listening back then. "It does awfully sound so. And whether it includes us or not, I am really intrigued by it. You know, both of us, we wanna be aurors. Fighting the dark arts would be what we do, right? So why not start a year early, practically you know? And besides, we do indeed have a shivering and shimmering bear, and a dove with us!" He shifted about his bed nervously. He wanted it...he wanted to be a part of the prophecy, but he couldn't want Jules to be too, could not hope to convince him to work on it with him, and could not try to force him to. But he could try to recruit him into it. He was doubtlessly exceptional at dueling, and more than that, he was a good friend of Suvansh. Maybe, he was going ahead of himself, maybe he wasn't supposed to be involved in this, but the sorting hat never lies, however old and rusty it gets. If it says there's trouble at Hogwarts, there is no doubt that there is. And Suvansh would not let the song slide from his mind.

At this point, Suvansh's grin was wider than he thought his face could distort. He cherished in excitement as Jules relayed his awe. He couldn't help but agree to Jules' saying that he would probably fall off it, knowing how the advertisement for the world-class broom said it prioritized speed over safety. "Hope we get to test this bad boi soon enough!" He says, as he goes over and gets his lil red owl Cuff [x] from his stand, and gave him a lil pat on the head. "This year's gonna be a blast. Though, on a serious note, what do you think about the sorting hat's song?? That was really peculiar. Has it ever done so before? A new Dark Lord shall rise like jeez!"

"Precisely." Suvansh said, nodding like a wise old owl. He burst out laughing shortly after. "Would you believe me if I said I shared 7 classes with you and one more? Charms, Advanced Athrimitacy, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Transfiguration, Herbology, Potions, hmmm...and Alchemy and Care of Magical Creatures! I hate myself." He sighed, and continued, "ah do you remember how we studied for the O.W.L.s~ anyways let's go back to our dorms, have something to show to you!" He grinned, really excited to show his new broom to Jules. Despite being the seeker of Hufflepuff, his broom the previous years was literally the worst of the bunch. Probably no better than the school brooms itself, having been owned by his father way back. This year, though, he finally saved up enough to buy his dream broom, a Thunderbolt VII! Alright, he wasn't able to save up that much just by himself, and it included a lot of pestering, but he did finally get it.

"Pfft oh please, we all know you deserve it." He says, shrugging while giving him a warm smile. He made no inclination to go back to his dorm as everyone starting moving on. "OLD? Those first years make me feel ancient! Alright, maybe not as much as Filch or Mcgonagall or literally any of the professors- but ancient indeed. We have our N.E.W.T.S. coming up! I'm sooo excited and scared at the same time. What subjects have you taken!?"

O k a y, the campfire did not go as Suvansh expected, how people rapidly volunteered for the quest after him, and how the Apollo cabin rebuked at Alaparos. Well, it was only to be expected, of course, they wouldn't send another camper. The line said the "The Sun will be your cost", and strangely enough, a member of their cabin was missing- couldn't be more connected.
Except that though, he was fairly relieved. He was actually accepted as a member of the quest, and their were way more than 3 people who volunteered, and Chiron said nothing against it. Eh, he shouldv'e been worried, with how they say having more than 3 demigods on a quest results in no good for the extras, but it had been proven that it wasn't always the case- and he did not wanna think about what would happen if he was an ExTrA right now.
When Chiron dismissed them, he lingered around where he was, having seated himself somewhere at the back of the amphitheater since he had volunteered, and observed the others, who he was supposedly going on a quest with, especially Cataneme, who hung around roasting marshmallows with Dezerae. He thought of joining them, but his mind held him back. I have to know them anyways, we would be staying together for probably quite some time~ his mind argued with his mind, but his mind finally won, and he stretched a bit, and went back to his cabin. The first thing on his to-do list should've been packing, packing for the trip ahead, but no. He came back to his cabin, ran to his bed, did his daily routine before sleping, like giving Fluff some motor oil, doing a sudoku, etc., and went to sleep.

While the prophecy intrigued Suvansh, he did not wanna take much out of it. Totally not the fact that it mentioned shivering, shimmering animals, representatives of hope, which strangely enough sounded like patronuses, and one of them was a dove. He noticed Jules' nervous tapping, and recalled from the Defence Against the Dark Arts classes, how his patronus was a bear! Coincidence? Could be! He observes how Jules was lost in thought, idly watching the ceremony not eating much. "Shivering and Shimmering...bear and a dove. Couldn't leave us alone for our last year could they?" he starts at him with a tired tone, but then laughed it off, "What's up, Jules? Head boy eh? Grats! Summer went any good?".

Suvansh, did not volunteer first as he was thinking to, though he felt like he should've, just in case Chiron thought it would be a good idea to restrict the quest goers number to 3, as traditional. And it was because he was late to the campfire. He had been so engrossed with his work back at the Forge today that he didn't even take notice when a camper told him about the campfire, feeling it was obvious that it would be held! And yet, he was late to it. He wondered, if they would have noticed him not being there and pause for him? Probably not- either no one noticed, or no one cared. So he went sprinting towards the group of Demigods and Chiron, and nearly bumped into Dez
"Hullo! Am I late? What did I miss?" He looks around the crowd and takes in what was going on, and says "Are we volunteering for the quest right now?? I'm in!" He practically screams at Chiron.
Only if he had been there from the start...the others' hesitation would've led him to just not even volunteering. But there he was, already given his name in for the quest. Though, him volunteering resulted in a ton of confused glances, and even Chiron raised an eyebrow, so he went onto explain, "And craft with Fire and Spell. I can craft with fire, and probably the Hecate girl, Fallon? She could with spell!"

"Hmmph! That's all true, but sneaking out doesn't feel all that wise to me. What if I can't keep up with the group- or if I get caught off guard help by some monster! So many things could go wrong...." That's when he noticed the hesitant excitement in her face, and the fact that she was eyeing the line With Wisdom on your Heel. "I don't suppose it'll be necessary to sneak out and follow the group to stay on their heels though, DD!", He said with a mischievous grin. He picks up Fluff from the table, where it had been sitting idly yawning. And gave him a random pat on the head, which Floof liked a lot. "Though yes, if you really think you should sneak after and not join in the quest officially, I'm very willing to join you if Chiron doesn't choose me."

Suvansh nodded in acknowledgement. What DD said made sense, and it was about what was in his mind too, though he did not think it through as much as her. "At least we can count on the Hearth to be blazing back down in Hell, where fires never die! Ok, not funny. I take it back. Really not funny. But it is really peculier, the mention of Hell, especially as from what I've heard, there's a crack in the floor near where the Hearth used to glow. Must be all connected to the Underworld then, eh? Couldn't be very pleasant for the questiers-" To this, Floof nods his head. Suvansh chuckles at this, but Floof is actually a really smart cat, being an automaton. Not that normal cats aren't smart enough usually, but if you were to compare, Floof probably was equal to the Aristotle among cats, and though he couldn't relay his thoughts in a tongue they could understand, he already had formed an idea of the entire situation. "Oh that reminds me, I was thinking about volunteering into the quest! Thoughts??"
