Yeah, I support a limit of some kind - to be honest if your gem exchange is fair it will get taken within 10 minutes - 30 mins, so you could easily keep within a 20 limit.

I can't see why users with a lot of gems would see the need to put up pages full of 1 for 1 gems when they could easily do 20 gems for 20 gems in one trade.

(I also support a limit on the GTS so people can't spam 3 pages full of rubbish trades every few hours.)

The current gem exchange is an absolute scammers paradise, exploiting and taking advantage of a lack of knowledge from new users who don't know which gems you can't get through easy means and which ones you can't get through rumbling or slots.

If PH is hitting the scammers where it hurts, the gem exchange needs some loving.

Edit: Just so there's no confusion I don't consider your trades the type of scammer trade I am talking about Xangar, yours are simply on the extreme outer boundaries of values - but still tradeable by desperate big guys who might have gems to spare. I'm talking of 2 poison gems for 1 dragon gem type of scammer trades.

I'd think this is a good idea, on other pokemon collecting sites I've been on the shinys and legendarys have automatically been locked into your party when they hatch.

If you wanted to move the pokemon you had to press the unlock button first.

This won't help for pokemons inside boxes though, users just have to be careful with that.

I'm not sure I understand, are you suggesting that every user is given their own separate forum - with separate passwords?

You can do this yourself by paying for your own server and hosting your own forum, then you have total control over the security. There are also many free forum hosting sites around if you can take the advertising they will spam.

Many people use external sites to advertise and co-ordinate things here. I don't think it's up to Riako to pay for all the extra server space required to give every user their own forum.

Congrats on the early shiny, I love to watch the big legendary shiny hunts take place :)

Will send:

1x Light Rock
1X Hard Rock

Would like:

1x Landorus
1x Thundurus

If that is possible, thank-you.

Edit: thank-you sending now :)

Apologies if this has been suggested before but I looked through the past year and can't see anything.

Well we all know the current gem exchange is very difficult to use, and it is not helped by the amount of ridiculous trades due to a lack of knowledge (*cough* or attempted scam exchanges *cough*), or loads of spam lines of 1 for 1 exchanges.

So why not take out the human to human element - which we will be able to do on the new GTS anyways.

My suggestion is for an NPC that you can hand gems in to and get other types of gems in return for them.

The main great thing about this is that the gem prices can automatically be decided by the site based the amount and type of gems users both hand in and take from the NPC.

So less of a gem handed in means it has a higher value, and more of a gem handed in means it's a lower value.

If users don't hand in any dragon gems then their value will be high meaning it will take a lot of other gems the users have to hand in to get one.

If users hand in 10000's of steel gems then their value will be low meaning you will get a lot of them if you hand in a valuable gem.

So the gem market should regulate itself automatically and keep gem for gem values up to date and current based on exactly what users are getting rid of or keeping at any given time. Users will be the ones dictating the value of gems based on their actions and not a written thread.

If users see a certain type of gem is super cheap they should decide to do hunts based on those cheaper gems - so the NPC should be able to maintain a good balance. It would be "real time" supply and demand prices.

(I'm not sure how difficult the coding would be for this though, it's quite a big change)

I can't really support this since I am a sniper as well, it's a very fun part of this site testing your wits and knowledge of prices against other players. I'd despise it if this was automated.

You should definitely think of the AH as a game of tactics;

Bid early and show your interest in the pokemon and someone else will check your profile/Dex and see how much PDs you've got to spend & if you already have the pokemon or not so they can make a good guess on how to outbid you more easily.

Bid late and then it's a sniping game between 2 strangers who know nothing about each other now. IF you are not too greedy and bid a reasonable amount then you will win the snipe every time.

You have to make a tactical guess at what is reasonable to pay to ensure some profit, and what others might be willing to pay if they really need that pokemon.

If you don't win the snipe then the same pokemon will probably come back on the AH in the next hour or maybe the next day maybe if it's a rarer one so patience is key.

So bottom line is never to get upset or angry or too greedy, just learn from it and go for the next pokemon that comes along, the user who really wanted it already has it - so you have a better chance already.

I can't really support here even though I see the points of both sides.

You know what will happen if you give a 4 week timeout (so 2 medal rallys out) ? The same 4 or 5 people will still win the medal rallys EVERY time and people still won't be happy, then we will have suggestions that winners should only be allowed to participate once every 6 months.

Also think of it that the Rallys are designed to keep older players interested since they won't have much to do in comparison to a newer player, who should have 10,000 other things to do than worry about a medal Rally.

Yeah, I don't support automatic - there's lots of genuine usernames that could be effected.

Confagrigus might be one that trips any auto-filter due to letters in the middle and it's the name of a pokemon.

I do support some sort of censoring though, if any user search Riakos' name on pal pad to try and PM him about a problem then there's a pretty offensive one that shows up there - that should have been censored by now for sure, even if the account didn't get fully deleted.

Full support on this.

I've spoken to a few users who have chosen the wrong plushie during this event since the boxes were difficult to work out, and seen a few others post in their feeds they did the same thing.

I never thought I'd thank site lag but I almost did the exact same thing, but the site lagged and I got to take a second look and realised the buttons were not very clear as to which you were choosing.

Hopefully it's not too hard to code and I can't think of any downsides to pushing one or 2 extra buttons a month.

My Pokedex and Professer Rowan seen to be registering the fact that I have a pokemon even if I only have the egg in my party and it's not hatched yet.

In fact the pokedex is telling me I have the mewtwo pokemon entry but not the egg dex entry - even though I ONLY have the egg right now and not actually mewtwo.
Screenie: http://imgur.com/a/fAh43

The same thing happened earlier when Professer Rowan handed me the Mewtwo egg even though I had not hatched the ditto and therefore it should not have been registered on the pokedex yet - only the egg dex.

Not sure if this is a bug or not but I would imagine something is not right since the egg dex is treated separately for some things.

Me and my friends were talking about this before, it seems very bad that someone can pass something off on the AH/GTS for something that it isn't.

You should get what you pay for or trade for - not see it revert after a few days.

Agree fully that it seems like a scam.

I don't even check if a pokemon is shiny or common. I look at the amount of effort, composition, originality and the amount of items (which tells me the user might not be artistic but they worked hard anyways to gain items).

My standard scoring system is pretty much;

Any poke with none or only 1 item = 1-2
A poke with a few items randomly spammed with no effort or thought = 2-3
A poke with random items spammed with more effort = 3-5
A poke with a lot of items that look like something but not original, same old stuff but good effort = 5-7
A poke with any amount of items that the user has clearly put a lot of effort/originality into = 8-9
It looks amazing regardless of items/totally original/ingenious/huge amount of effort = 9-10
Anything at all that makes me laugh out loud is auto 10'd regardless of anything.

I got to say it's already tedious enough with the voting system without splitting it down into more categories, I'd like to be able to see a screenful of photos like the results page gives and vote on them one by one.

Full support, really no idea why this hasn't been implemented already.

Gets rid of all the igglybuffs and cleffas offered for legendaries.

Saves you having to take down & repost the trade to see sensible offers more clearly through the rubbish.

Lets genuine traders know that their pokemon wasn't what you were looking for so you can try again, or frees up their pokemon for another trade.

Not sure we need a note area, never seen that on other sites with a refuse trade option. Just palpad/PM them, or they can palpad/PM you if they want to know why it got refused. The most common reasons have probably got to be because the user already has it - most users don't know you can click another users profile pokedex and "view missing" or "compare" or it's way undervalued - I can't think of another reason I would refuse a trade and need to write about it.

I like this idea, but agree with the time limit, there's enough spamming of the GTS as it is with some users putting up the same trades every hour or 2. I'd hate to trawl through 2-3 pages of easy "free" pokies to see other trades - only to find in 2 hours they are all back at the top to trawl through again (I don't know why the users don't just put them on the AH for 1 PD instead of using the GTS).

The main reason I like it is because of the all the attempted scams, users offering igglybuffs and cleffas on your legendaries in the hope you'll click the wrong button. I'd like to be able to add the user to the block list and then simply renew the trade to get rid of all the horrible offers. I know a "refuse offer" button would help me more there, but it's still frustrating having to take trades down completely and then put them up again because people can't read/try to scam/live in Stupidsville

Awesome, thanks :)

I am really surprised there's no mention of that on any guide or the wiki, or even on the cauldron itself.

Are the gems removed/deleted if you fail to get them in the gem cauldron in time? Or do they go back into your inventory for another try?

(I would just go and test this by failing one but I can't afford to lose the gems if they get deleted if you fail lol)

Since I had my first Hack-usation about my clicking (seems 46K a day is hacking to some lol) I'll share how I do it.

I'm on a desktop PC and definitely the key is placing something heavy on the N key for you. I have a pen with a chewed lid that I lock in place between my monitor stand and keyboard so it's pressing the N key in (yes it does fall out every few minutes lol). Then I have the mouse sideways in the middle of the desk and hold it with my right or left hand, I hover over the top and spam from above with my fingers of the opposite hand, I swap fingers and hands over when they begin to hurt.

Another key is to use Chrome or another fast browser - this site does NOT do well in Firefox - in Firefox I was only clicking 15-20K a day because it was so, so slow, it can't handle the reloading of the 20 adopts to click every few seconds (and even on the slot machine it reloads the entire page every spin). Since I've changed to Chrome this feels like a different site, so much faster.

To "zone out" I have 2 browsers open so the PH one only covers 1/3rd of the screen and I can see half of the feed button and watch sci fi series in FF on the other 2/3rds of the screen while I click, but music can also help.

It's still painful if you click too much, but just remember with Shaymin you have until the 4th September so don't go putting yourself in pain.

Much as my hurting hands and fingers would love the second step to be removed it would encourage bot clickers. I have considered binding mouse 1 to another key but from GPX+ where you spam the spacebar or 1/2/3/4/5 keys to feed, it's actually less of a pain to tap the top of the mouse with different fingers so I'll continue doing that.

Anyone got an estimate on a drill?

Would it be the same as other rotom items or more since it's new?
