Chapter 3

"Let's get lost, you can take me home. Summer nights, we can be alone. I've GTG, whoa-oh-oh-oh-a

The artist was walking on the plant-infested sidewalk to her class, Economics. Amy hated the thought of outside, the sun and heat bared against her as if she was an Egyptian slave. She continued her trot to her classroom, through the few crowds of students that plagued the paths.

Amy had the door held open by a random bystander, of which she walked through to the plaza. It was a large, square building with a majestic statue in the middle. It was of the school's founder, Quinn Fred the First. It was a bland name in Amy's opinion, and to her, it seemed to be the victim of constant senior pranks. She continued her restless walk to room 209, Mr. King's room. He was not a monarchy, unlike most students believe. He was more like ... stale bread, blabbering on and on about literal stock progressions. Amy had been a scholar of McDonald's' evergrowing wealth, yet, she still could not keep a stable job at McDonald's.

She creaked the door open and was welcomed by Racheal, her peer counselor. Racheal was a short, black-skinned, young adult. She wore glasses and had braided blonde (of which she dyed) hair.

"Hey, Amy! Caught a drift on a new hobby?" Racheal laughed. Of course, Amy knew she was joking, and she decided to strike back.

"Caught anything about stilts yet?" Amy chuckled back. Racheal nudged Amy on the shoulder and laughed some more.

"Funny, funny. Mr. King-of-Reffrals is out on a coffee break so you wanna grab a marker and draw on his board?"

Amy's friend tilted to the whiteboard, it had a blue name titled, 'Mr. King'. Amy smiled at the idea, grabbed a red marker from the board's shelf, and started drawing a small fox. She messed up the leg and butchered the nose but Racheal was laughing all the way. Amy finished later and took her seat in the front next to Racheal. Mr. King put them there as Racheal blackmailed him with very, very private information. Even Amy didn't know what that info was, but she didn't care, she sat near her best friend in almost all of her classes.

After she sat, Racheal and Amy chatted until the entire class was rounded up. Mr. King came after a few minutes, shut down the class' talking, and looked to his board.

"All right, Who the hell drew this here?" Mr. King pointed at the fox Amy drew. The artist's heart sank.

Witten woke up.

The dream solidified in her mind and overthrown all her other thoughts as if she had to go out. The plaza was not too far away from her main dorm and getting on some fresh clothes wasn't hard either so she did that. Witten grabbed a normal t-shirt and shorts, her adventuring boots, and set out to the plaza.

She found people, the others from alternate dimensions. The young girl wasn't exactly scared just more uneased with the crowd. There were people floating with no limbs, pale-skinned beings, and strange yellow blobs following normal humans. This was all too confusing for Witten, so she averted to just staring and walking around the plaza.

Cherali had quite some time with today's breakfast, not just a plain biscuit, but a biscuit bottom with strawberry jelly on it. She was a big fan of strawberries, being her diet during her childhood. She especially likes the pulp of strawberry onto a warm dessert shell. It's been a long time since she had one of those.

People talked over her thoughts as Cherali vetoed the idea of getting a strawberry shortcake from the table. Hands were everywhere and the mage retracted her gaze to her lap. The red, crystalized spellbook was sitting there, staring at her. The young mage tucked her book into her lap and begin eating the makeshift strawberry tart.

User Name: yesnt

Character name: Freddrick LaYauqi (La-ya-quin)

Characters hero/villain name (optional): Obside (Meaning 'Hostage' in Latin)

Hero student/ Villian/ Hero teacher/ or Vigilante?: Hero Student

Characters Quirk: The villains infused evil spirits into her brain and called her a 'Soulguard', of which she can wisp out of existence and let the villains have time with their bodies. Technically has 4 quirks in one but never bothers to let the villains play outside of her mind.

Villian spirits include:

Renegade- A villain whose primary focus was on the booms of explosions. Usually, it's the voice that stands out most to Freddrick.

Mystic-The mastermind of the four, Mystic is the one usually controlling Freddrick's thoughts and emotions.

Vigil- The quietest one of the group, he usually doesn't like controlling Freddrick, only when it's for the greater good. Freddrick has never heard his voice

Jewelis- The fairest of the fair, Jewelis isn't actually that bad in Freddrick's standard, she gives her makeup and dressing advice, tells her stories about being a villain, and normally is just nice to her. She only considers it pity, however.

Characters other abilities (not quirks): Is a steady person, almost emotionless all the time, and can wield a few weapons.

Description (image or written): A short (5'3), blonde-haired girl. Her hair is long, braided all the time, and more often than not, whipped to her left shoulder. She has pale skin and brown eyes, with a normal uniform. Her hero outfit is a pale blue dress, with her hair tied back into a bun. She wears sunglasses and black tennis shoes in her hero outfit.

Allies?: No one yet

Personality: A sad person, just always saying how she wished she were old and decayed. Freddrick has to listen to the villains in her head and keep them secure, so often she doesn't pay attention, even if her life depended on it.

Background/Backstory (optional): A young child in a villain family line, her parents thought the only way to restore their legacy was adding five more villains ... without all the kids. They infused chemical spirits inside her brain to make the perfect villain. Unfortunately for them, they made a hostage, someone saved by the Hero's Academia and brought back to be a part of it. Her parents failed and made a depressed member of constant PTSD and maybe some hatred.

Anything else I should know?:

Nuabel walked down the path that her map told her to go down, it was a light brown and dusty one, but quite the scenic route. A few creeks, berry bushes, and mossy trees scattered the rugged terrain of this forest, but, after admiring it all, Nuabel heard catfighting, close to her. She took it off as some animals joining the cycle of life, but then she heard announcing and greetings.

Nuabel walked toward the noise and peeked in the bushes to see who in the world was in this forest.

The sun was falling and Witten was returning to her room. It was quite a boring day to her, nothing to awe her or surprise her. The servants said the same things and lines to her everywhere she went. She couldn't possibly forget their eerie hospitality, could she?

She opened the door to her room, closed it behind her, and walked in. It was a basic room but very vibrant at the core, her favorite books on a shelf on top of the bed, her bed, sleek, pale yellow blankets that were soft to the touch. Witten very much liked this room, as It reminded her of her hometown. A pale yellow street corner, great pinkish buildings, a cheery laugh, and ice cream. It's one of the few things integrated into her mind, along with the odd employees and ... her.

Witten retreated to her bed and rested till morning.

Witten was sitting on a stone uplift in the garden, with her legs waving up and down. The flowers and vines had a way with Witten, she's explored them so many times, there is hardly a reason not to remember their scents and aromas they produce. And yet, she still does. Almost consecutively every day she forgets the smell of a classical rose or tulip, the stench of a wildflower, or even as simple as a garden in general. Her mind wipes everything from her if she doesn't bother concentrating on it for more than five seconds.

Her brain has always played tricks on her, she even believes her best friend Sally is still in her town, tending to her puppy and plastering signs all over town. Witten thinks that her brain even goes so far as to lie to her that Sally is gone to a faraway place.

Until a faithful stone tower caught her eye, she did not stop thinking about her long-lost friend. Sally was just an illusion in her mind at that point, Witten's gaze fixated on the tower. It was quite the pretty thing to look at, mismatched stones toppled onto each other, moss breaking the castle inside-out, and flowers wilting from the bottom. The sign on the iron gate, however, was breaking that entire urge;

Employees ONLY

Witten retracted her looking and decided to focus on the flowers than her suspicions to the castle.

Chapter 2

"What is love? Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me ... no more... What is love?"

It was all a big joke to Amy, no way had Carter found her on Klaqu and had the balls to ask her to come over. Maybe it was one of her friends smurfing and catfishing her? No, they were in their classes during the morning. Amy did not want to go to Carter's apartment, it was practically a death wish. See, Amy's college absolutely sucks at sorting apartments. They have one person in the crowd that gets the entire apartment in trouble or vice versa. Luckily, Amy didn't have that problem, all of her neighbors were calm artists, like her. She looked back at the forum, sipped her tea, and returned the message.

Amese3: No im good

The message sent was immediately returned

Hazydrams1: Pleassseeee i need your answers to this questionnnnn

Amy could hear the absolute annoyance in his text, her ears almost bled.

Amese3: No ill block you if you don't stop

Hazydrams1: ugh ok fine

Good Amy thought He's finally off me about it. Amy looked at her black watch, she got it last week, as an early Christmas present from her uncle. It had a Hello Kitty sticker from another present, a coloring book. Her family still treated her as a little girl, she revolted, but yet she is, looking at her Hello Kitty sticker on her watch, and smiling.

It was 11:46 am, almost time for Amy's Economics class. Her schedule was simple on weekends, Economics at 12, Graphic Design at 3, and her final class, Art History. It was a hard life on weekdays, however, she had 5 classes, her boring workload, and 13-year-olds begging her for their free YouTube avatar and title art. Amy loved and equally hated being an artist, being a social worker AND drawing is hard as the ever-living Christ to do.

Amy got up, got dressed, and got her bookbag for Economics and for more 'businessmen' to give her offers on God and Christianity. There was pepper spray in her bag just in case the businessmen came to her on their advice...

This is going to be the death of us?
Name: Witten
Age: 23
Gender: Female

Universe: Don't Starve
Canon?: no

Appearance: (I was gonna draw them but haha no)

Witten has black hair and pale white eyes. Of course, in the Don't Starve universe, this is common ... but in the flesh outside? Not so much. She wears a light blue cardigan with a button-up shirt underneath. Her skirt is a light velvet and her shoes are untied, quite torn tennis shoes.

Personality: She's very good at being positive in the face of death, considering her fellow survivors failing at that. She's very jumpy and energetic, nothing is really said bad about her, except that she's a bit annoying. Witten tries her best to help, but often fails and causes a scene. Not aloof, more ... all over the place.

Backstory: Witten has one thing that she might just be an expert at, finding things. She always knew where things were and how things are. The one thing she couldn't find? Her childhood best friend, Sally, whom disappeared the night of July 22, 1984. Witten was devastated and decided to dedicate her search to find Sally. Maps and scrolls of the town scoured her room in Witten's teenage years and as she dug deeper, she found more mysterious occurrences like Sally's. People in her town were gone the next day until she was the only one left. She forgot all about her fellow friends and neighbors after they were taken.

After everyone left, Witten felt truly alone in the reigns of her city. One faithful night, however, it took her too. She was transport to a forest, trees and flowers as far as the eye can see. She only had a map, a compass, and her spirit with her.

Friendships: Pratically friends wth every character from the Don't Starve franchise.
Power(s):

-Is a skilled mapper
-Likes to stay on paths
-Can find objects very easy
-Has terrible memory loss

Witten, if she knows an object well enough, can call on it to be in her hand as long as it is in a 50 feet distance from her. She is a skilled mapper, maps are much more legible to her, and she likes to stay on paths. The final feature is supposed to be a Don't Starve feature, where she gains Sanity when on paths but loses Sanity otherwise. Witten also forgets an object exists; Every object has 100% when Witten has it, but loses that percentage. Once to 50%, Witten can no longer call on it. At 0% Witten starts to go insane as she wishes to remember the object.

Cherali, shortly after rereading the letter for the fifty times, heard the chime of a bell. It had been to call all the students back. She returned to the ground and ran back through the forest, following the path of which she was dragged.

The mage returned to the grassy meadow and ran toward the table of which the drinks were served. She sat down on a wooden chair and started to read the pages of the possessed spellbook. Her foot tapped crazily as she read, looking for signs of life in the parchment, the Common words, and spells it contained. Cherali was shivering, scared of what the book portrayed itself to be. She could be dreaming, lying limp on a wet cave floor with wild wolves surrounding her or perhaps sleeping in the comforts of her savior's home. Cherali doesn't like the thought of her dreaming anymore, she could be anywhere when she was dreaming...

Cherali woke up in the middle of a forest. She couldn't remember how she'd gotten there or what she did in the last thirty minutes. Her head hurt as she sat up. Her spellbook was still clutched against her hip, but something was different about it... It wasn't the color, nor the warmth it produced, but a piece of charred parchment laid on it. Cherali picked it up and read;

Dear, Cherali

It was really hard to get that beast off you! No worries, however, I had a ball fighting it! Just a suggestion: DO NOT run away from those beasts, they run really, really fast!!! I almost had to use actual fire in order to kill it! Just be sure to stay vigilant out here in this forest and you'll be a-okay!

Best Wishes, Mrs. Spellbook

Cherali read the message over and over, observing what she just witnessed. What beast? Did the spellbook actually fight it? One phrase enveloped Cherali, "Mrs. Spellbook"

Who in the world was Mrs. Spellbook? Was her spellbook a sentiment ... book? Could it cast its own magic? Does the book kill the beast count as her killing the beast? Cherali shook her head, stuffed the message in the folds of the book, and got fully up to the floor to continue her trout through the forest.

It was something Cherali has never ever seen before.

On her trek and journey to find a dark aura-ed creature, Cherali found it. It was built like a normal human, only just a shadow off its floor. It was exactly the monster in the stories her mother told her, stories built on the fallacy that monsters of these types even existed.

The second of fear was over, the monster dashed straight towards her. Now it was the second to run, and as she did, the tremor of anxiety washed over her. A stick tripped her after a few seconds, the monster seized her arm. Its unbearable strength clashed with Cherali, she made one scream and punched the shadow with her open arm. Her fist did nothing to help. The shadow grabbed both of her arms and dragged her somewhere. Every scream she made only seemed to be halted by her draining energy. The screams stopped;

"Quoth the Raven, 'Nevermore'" the shadow whimpered, as it dragged the body onward.

Name: Winona
Fandom: Don't Starve Together
Age: 30 - 35
Gender: Female

Appearance: 5'6", black hair, curled upward. A bandana tied against her hairline, classical Rosy-the-Riveter style. Grey overalls with a white undershirt. Plain slip-on.

Personality: A boisterous factory worker, simple and straightforward. Winona is quite blunt and sarcastic with describing things, quotes from the game prove this. She is quite interrogative about finding out things, Winona cares for the family, and tries to be a team player with things.

Abilities:

-Is a skilled builder
-Get one free hit from Darkness and their monsters
-Makes her own gadgets

Her 'gadgets' include:

Trusty Tape- Used to mend objects
Catapult- Self-explanatory
Spotlight- See 'Catapult'
Generator- Gives power to Catapults and Spotlights; Uses Nitre (Don't Starve mineral)
G.E.Merator- Generator that uses Gems; much better quality

Reason for being chosen: Winona, from her backstory, is skilled at fighting darkness (Or at least surviving against them).

Backstory: Young Winona had her sister, Charlie, go missing. She grew up searching for her, chasing every clue she could find. From her research, she landed a job at a factory. Winona worked and explored the idea of Charlie's disappearance, until one haunted night. The factory burned down to crisp, as it burned, Winona heard the screams of her boss. Instead of retreating to safety, she ran to the rescue of her boss. The boss was engulfed in a portal as Winona opened the door, she grabbed their hand, but to no avail. As the fire burned on, her boss vanished and the portal broke down. In a last-ditch effort, Winona grabbed some tape, put the machine back together, and turned it on.

What she saw was a very familiar face. It was Charlie. Winona assumed Charlie was trapped inside the portal, along with her boss. She reached out to take her hand, but the Queen of Darkness took it first. Winona was transported to a place called The Constant, where her sister ruled.

World status: It could very much be a safe haven but one big problem; it forces people to put on a hunger drain. Not suggested traveling to without help.

Cherali breathed in and out, she walked up the hill doing so. Her book was secure in her left arm and a small cup of green tea was with her other. She gulped it down and retreated to the forest's borders. It was an easy forest to travel, with not too many vines, not too few vines.

The mage walked forward, she had to defeat a dark creature? Well, at least I'm can do fire magic ... with the help of a book Cherali frowned. After a few minutes, her walking stopped to investigate a bush. It had pinkish berries on it and a blue bug. The bug had eight little legs and had an exoskeleton that looked to be like armor. Cherali tried to touch the bug, but a fume of water was squirted in her face. She wiped it off using her sleeve and started to observe the berries.

The bug retracted the second Cherali picked a berry and squirted her with even more water. Cherali angrily wiped it off and tried everything she could to get a berry or the bug. All of her attempts ended with water.

I'll have to write about this on later, she thought, I'll call it ... a Hydrohoarder!

Cherali continued to explore the forest, while the bug keeper kept it's crawl on the pink berry bush, happy that the berry picker retreated.

Cherali (Been misspelling her name this entire time!) had been waiting for an almost impossible task to be handed to her. The shrine seemed like a tremendously long walk that the mage did not have time for. Actually, correction, she did have all her life, but laziness is a welcomed adversity in her area.

She sighed, looked down to her book, and clutched it tighter in her arms. The book was warm to the touch, not warm enough to use as a fire, of course, but just warm. It did have fire elemental magic coursing through it, so it was to be expected to be warm. Cherali liked it's warmth, it was as if was a midnight fire whispering it's final breaths to her.

Cherail walked up to the line where he mages formed together. She stood at the end and clenched her book to her chest, she was still panting from her run to get the book, and the instructors were sure to notice her drain.

Her foot tapped crazily, as if she had just been diagnosed with a horrible illness, it was a tremendous wait and the call just started.
